Chapter 148

"Clang, clang, clang!" On top of another cake mountain, two people are clashing with their swords. One of them being considerably larger than the other one. They have already been going at it for more than 20 minutes. But both of them were still breathing normally.

"You are truly worthy of your title as the strongest swordsman," said Smoothie. But her opponent, Dracule Mihawk, stayed quiet.

Mihawk raised his blade, Yoru, and slashed it downwards, sending a sword slash towards Smoothie that is bigger than her. She managed to dodge to the side, only for another slash to come to that place a second later. She used her sword to block it but still got pushed a couple of steps back. He didn't give her a chance to rest and sent three more slashed, which she managed to block.

"Argh!" Smoothie grunted out in pain as she fell on her right knee. Mihawk had appeared behind her while she was distracted by his three slashes and cut the back of her knee. He was about to go for the finishing move and cut off her head when a long sword suddenly blocked his attack. He immediately jumped back and looked at the new guest.

The one that just blocked Mihawk's attack is Charlotte Amande. A tall, very slim, and extremely pale woman with long, light blue hair that is curled at the end. She has large lips, sullen light green eyes, and a small, almost flat nose. She has an unusually long neck which has a tattoo of a stripe and two hearts on it.

Mihawk looked behind her and saw that the Big Mom Pirates officers are running towards them, and some went towards Ace and Urouge.

'This will be troublesome. I was just lucky that I caught Smoothie off guard, but that won't happen again. And now, with the others coming, it will be hard to actually defeat them. But it's not like killing anyone was the goal anyway,' thought Mihawk.

I no time Mihawk got surrounded by the Big Mom Pirates. Charlotte Compote, Charlotte Mondée, Charlotte Amande, Charlotte Angel, and Charlotte Custard were the ones that surrounded him, together with the now standing Smoothie.

"No matter how many of you there are, it won't make a difference," said Mihawk with a cold and arrogant tone. But the Big Mom Pirates stayed calm.

"I don't know what possessed you to come and mess with us, but we are no push-"

"Shark Tile True Punch!"

Before Angel could finish speaking, a pain seared through her back, and she was suddenly sent flying forward at an astounding speed. But what awaited her was not so astounding. Mihawk slashed horizontally towards the incoming Angel and cut her in half from her waist.

"Angel!" screamed her sisters.

"Good timing, Jinbe," said Mihawk

"I was lucky enough to defeat Cracker quickly, so when I saw you surrounded, I came to help."

"Impossible! How can you defeat brother Cracker so fast!" screamed Custard in shock.

(If any of you are also wondering, they were close to the sea, so Jinbe made all his cracker soldiers wet, making them useless.)

Jinbe suddenly jumped back, and a long sword swung down in the place he was just standing. Jinbe managed to dodge most of the attack, but he still got a cut on his arm, and blood started slowly dripping out.

When Jinbe was about to counterattack, the heat around him abruptly started rising at an immense speed. He turned around and saw the culprit, Oven. Oven was about to say something, but Jinbe suddenly dashed away. After giving Mihawk a look, he immediately followed him. They were running towards the sea, and the Big Mom Pirates immediately followed them.

When they arrived at the island's edge, Jinbe immediately jumped into the sea after whispering something to Mihawk. Mihawk turned around and got ready to face the 6 siblings.

"Heat Denasshi!" Oven immediately ran towards Mihawk, and his fist started heating up, making Mihawk sweat from the heat it is emitting. Oven swung his fist towards Mihawk, who blocked it with his sword. The ground underneath Oven and Mihawk started heating up, making the ground burn. If Mihawk did not use Haki on his feet, then they would have burned off.

"You look so calm for someone who is about to be killed. And don't expect your other friends to come and help you. They have already been surrounded by now.

"Then what are you still doing here? You should go and help out your siblings before they get roasted," said Mihawk with a slight smirk. The temperature suddenly multiplied 5 fold, and Oven looked like he was about to explode.

"DIE!"

Oven jumped back and was about to use a big attack when a shadow suddenly loomed over all of them.

"It seems like you'll be the one dying today," said Mihawk as a ginormous wave of water fell onto the 6 siblings. It extinguished most of the fire that Ace created previously. Mihawk however, was completely fine. Not even a drop of water fell on him. Jinbe jumped out of the water and landed next to Mihawk.

"We should attack them, now that the ones with Devil Fruits are temporarily weakened," said Jinbe, and Mihawk nodded. They ran towards Oven and Smoothie and started attacking them. They managed to injure them, but nothing fatal. The wounds did manage to slow them down, giving them more breathing room.

"YOU DAMN BASTARDS!" screamed Oven. The water around him started boiling, and steam started coming out of his head. Oven ran towards them, and as Miihawk and Jinbe were about to jump away, they got stuck in place. A sticky pink hard substant kept them in place. In a second, it covered up their entire bodies.

"You guys will pay for what you have done!" said Perospero, who just arrived.

Oven took this chance to go for Mihawk's face. He swung his heated up fist and went right through Mihawks face.

"AAAHHH!"

"Sister Compote!" screamed Mondée. Oven turned around and looked shocked at his sister, Compote, who is screaming while holding onto her burned face. He looked at his heated up fist in the air coming out of a shadow levitating in the air. Before he could understand what just happened, a loud crack sounded, and the next second, the fist in the shadow fell onto the ground with an arm attached to it.

"AAHH!" screamed Oven as he jumped back and looked with horror at the place his arm is supposed to be.

Mihawk used his now free arm that was holding his sword to break himself and Jinbe out of the candy that was holding them down.

"Kage Robert! You damn bastard! How dare you make me hit my sister! And wait till I get my hands on you, MIHAWK!" screamed Oven. But there was no response. The other battle that was just going on suddenly turned completely quiet. Oven and his siblings looked over for a second, and when they looked back at Jinbe and Mihawk, they had already disappeared.

Katakuri, Snack, and 4 other siblings came running towards them.

"That guy called Kage Robert grabbed Ace and Urouge before I could stop them. It seems like he also saved Mihawk and Jinbe," said Katakuri with a dark expression on his face.

"Damn it! They killed sister Angel and cut off my arm. How dare they run off like that!"

"Knock, Knock." The sound of knocking on glass could suddenly be heard. Katakuri took out a mirror from his pocket, and Brûlée's frightened face appeared on it.

"What happened Brûlée?" asked Katakuri.

"Big brother, you need to stop them! They have stolen the three Poneglyph!" screamed Brûlée. Everyone was shocked; even the usually calm Katakuri couldn't help but pale at the mention of the Poneglyphs being stolen.

"My forest! What happened here!"

Hearing this voice, all of them gave up on living and slumped down.

"It was nice knowing you guys," said Smoothie in a voice that indicated that she has already accepted death.

"MY FOREST!"
