Chapter 59

Title: Beware of the Flying Man...

The battle lasted for hours, and I had quite some injuries on me. But was unbothered by them as none were deep enough to be an immediate concern. Though the bloodless would be a problem in a little bit.

My opponent on the other hand was breathing heavily and one of his arms was broken laying to the side uselessly. Blood flew out of his mouth and many wounds ravaged the man's body. It was an outrageous amount of damage he had taken, yet there he stood, tall and smirking.

Our Haki was about equal, his Armament might have been a little better at the beginning of the fight. But by now it didn't matter, and the only thing that made a difference in our fight was my physical power and outrageous defense.

This Awakening was quite useful, and I have been able to withhold it for quite some time. My mind stems clearer now and no instinctive urge for violence bothered me. So my Observation Haki has become more usable now.

"Hehehehe~ you seem to be on your last leg~" said Doflamingo, trying to sound confident. But it was obvious that he wasn't at the top of his game either.

I didn't answer him and instead attacked again, this time he made a weeb out of his strings, but also jumped back at the same time. He had learned my tactics, just like I had learned his by now.

Baam!

The string broke, and for the first time in our fight, Doflamingo winced.

"Oh~ so your attacks getting weaker wasn't just my imagination," I mocked him. Trying to pull him over the edge. "You are tired aren't you?"

For the first time during our fight, I was the one doing the verbal sparring. He didn't answer and jumped even further back, the battle wasn't going his way. But I was in a rush to end this, while the Rumble Ball's effects hadn't weakened.

I swung my axe, creating a sharp wave of wind causing him to use a string to split the attack on two.

BOOOM!

The aerial slash landed on the sea behind him, creating two large cuts in it that were filled back by the sea. But within the shadow of that slash, was another <Ryankaku>, a cutting technique that was shot by the legs. Doflamingo's eyes widened in shock as the attack cut right through the strings that were already weakened by the initial attack.

A large gash appeared on his torso and he flew backward, as he coughed a huge amount of blood. I was upon him, taking this chance to attack.

But suddenly, my body started feeling weaker and the huge muscles and bear form started shrinking. Before I could move to attack, my body had returned to its human form and weakness settled all over me.

Normally, a Rumble Ball's effect would last only for three minutes or a little more. But when I used <Life Return> the medicine got absorbed by my body exceptionally well and stayed where it needed to keep up my Awakening. Though everything had a limit.

Still, though, this was a bad time to go out, only a couple more minutes and I would have had him.

But I didn't have time to despair at this as a dozen strings came at me. There was no time to attack anymore and this body now couldn't inflict heavy injury with one hit.

Using <Kami-E> I controlled my body and bones to dislocate to dodge the incoming attack. Doflamingo at the same time used his strings to sew back together the wound on his chest. But by now even he was a little wobbly in his movements and my opponent's face had gone pale.

This was good, and we were both injured. Damn, if I had better control of my Awakening Form, then this fight would have been over in the first minutes. In such a giant body kicking off the air was hard and being used to the strength was a foreign experience. My reach was different too, but next time when I use Awakening, it won't be the same. By now I had everything down and even could use all the Rokushiki techniques during Awakening.

Still, my body was smaller than before so I wasn't an easy target now. There would be no use lamenting on the past, instead, I should think about the future.

"It seems like you can't use your Devil Fruit?" Doflamingo smiled, noticing that my body was back to normal and that I hadn't even entered the Hybrid form. He wasn't wrong on that, even my normal Bear Form couldn't be pulled off at the moment.

But that didn't mean I was weak.

<Kamisori>

I used <Soru> and <Geppo> midair, in an instant appearing behind Doflamingo. The man was surprised at my speed and tried to defend against my Haki-imbued kick.

Baaam!

His pink coat turned dark and he covered the place where I would hit him. A kick came towards my way and I ducked, feeling the air above me get cut as he had a string attached to the tip of his foot and knee making a razor-sharp attack.

I threw my axe at sea, as it was no longer useful, and used my fists and kicks to fight against Doflamingo. While we were both fast, I had the upper hand in speed and blitzed past him multiple times, landing a couple of hits.

Normally these kinds of hits would barely do any damage to him, but his body was already heavily injured so each hit reopened a wound.

He then made a net of barely visible string and threw it at me. The attack could be dodged, so instead, I opted out for defense, imbuing both fists in Haki and crossing my arms.

Baaam!

His attack and my Haki clashed, but surprisingly the strings weren't that strong? They broke as soon as contact was made. I looked at my hands and instead of the usual Haki being imbued, there was also an aura-like presence around them.

Doflamingo's shock wasn't hidden when he saw this. "Tch," he seemed annoyed and then turned around, using his strings to run back.  At that moment, a dark figure flew in and kicked at him.

*Clang!*

The figure had dark wings behind her back and her feet were turned Bingo like those of a harpy and were imbued with Haki. It was Raynare, and her giant wings made her seem like an angel. She was my dear angel.

She wasn't someone who would ever be able to contend with Doflamingo and would be finished at best with two attacks. But now, with his injured state, and me here it was a different story.

He immediately had enough strings to turn her into chopped meat. But that was his mistake.

<Kamisori>

I appeared behind him, and there was no Haki on his back as my kick landed. A soft crack resounded due to the hit and his back arched.

"Damn it!" He yelled out in annoyance. Veins popped in his forehead due to his anger and he turned to look at me. But that was another mistake, as Raynare sunk her claws into his only functioning arm.

<Finger Pistol>

He tried to kick her off. But my fingers sank into critical points in his leg before the attack could land. Even more, blood spewed out and I could see that he no longer thought this fight was something he would come out victorious.
