Chapter 23 : Buggy's Confidence!!!

"Sabo and Fire Fist Ace are brothers too? When did this happen? Why don't I know about this? Inazuma, are you aware of this?"

Ivankov frowned, trying to recall any memory of this revelation, but drew a blank. He turned to Inazuma to confirm.

Inazuma shook his head. "No, I've never heard of this either!"

With Inazuma's confirmation, Ivankov turned to Buggy, suspecting he might be lying. But Buggy seemed earnest, and his resolute expression added to his uncertainty. What reason would Buggy have to deceive him about this?

Or was Buggy planning something else?

Buggy noticed Ivankov's skeptical expression and quickly clarified, "Sabo, Ace, and Luffy swore brotherhood when they were kids! But some accidents happened. Sabo lost his memory and joined the Revolutionary Army. Luffy and Ace thought Sabo was dead, so they haven't recognized each other as brothers yet."

Buggy mentioned this to address some regrets he had while watching the anime, but it wasn't anything more significant. Whether or not to inform Sabo was up to Ivankov.

"Accidents... Could it be the destruction of the garbage transfer station in the Kingdom of Goa to welcome the Celestial Dragons?"

"We did find Sabo around that time and place, right?"

"Hey, if Sabo and Straw Hat Luffy are sworn brothers, that means Luffy lived on that island too, right?"

"Doesn't that mean it's Dragon's home?"

Ivankov spiraled into deeper thought after hearing Buggy's words. The more he considered it, the more it all made sense. Many of his suspicions were being confirmed. 

For example, Dragon's tendency to look east when the wind blew had led Ivankov to guess that Dragon's hometown was in the East Blue. And the Kingdom of Goa was also in the East Blue! This connected the dots for him.

After explaining, Buggy left Ivankov to his thoughts and began strategizing the next prison escape plan. They had only one chance, and the method and timing had to be meticulously planned.

The best time to make a move is, of course, in five days!

By then, the Navy Headquarters will be fully focused on the Whitebeard Pirates. Even if they realize something is happening in Impel Down, they won't have the manpower to send reinforcements.

But the question remains: how do we escape from here once we break out? 

Or rather, how do we get to Navy Headquarters?

Should we hijack a warship like in the original story? That's impossible!

Ace isn't in Impel Down right now, and the Shichibukai who played a crucial role in the original plot by helping to seize the warship isn't here either. Without Jinbei, there's no way we can commandeer a warship and leave Impel Down.

So, all hope rests on that person?

Buggy's eyes flickered. That person's reliability is questionable, so this plan can only be a backup. For now, Buggy couldn't think of another way, so he decided to set this problem aside.

Anyway, there are still five days to figure it out. We can think this through slowly; no need to rush! Until then, let's handle other matters.

Buggy turned to look at Mr. 3, who was lying on the bed next to him, and asked Inazuma, "How is he doing?"

Inazuma looked at Mr. 3, shook his head, and said, "He was too close to where you and Magellan were fighting, so he got severely poisoned. We gave him the antidote we stole from the infirmary, but it didn't work. The poison Magellan used this time is much stronger than the usual stuff.

"Luckily, his Devil Fruit ability seems to offer some resistance to various toxins, which is why he's managed to hang on this long.

"That's why Lord Ivan hasn't used healing hormones on him yet."

Buggy frowned and asked, "When will he wake up?"

Inazuma replied, "Soon, probably in the next couple of days."

Buggy nodded and said, "That's good."

Mr. 3 can use his Wax-Wax Fruit powers to create various keys, and Buggy plans to rely on him to free the prisoners held in the six underground levels of Impel Down! 

While Inazuma can also pick locks, doing so one by one would waste too much time, giving the guards of Impel Down a chance to react.

As for stealing the keys, it would also be time-consuming and might not be successful. Therefore, Mr. 3's role in Buggy's plan is almost irreplaceable, which is why Buggy keeps him close at all times.

After a moment of silence, Inazuma asked, "By the way, I haven't asked yet, what's your escape plan? Let us know, so we can be prepared too."

Buggy grinned and replied, "My plan is simple. In five days, when the Navy Headquarters is too occupied to pay attention, we'll break into the sixth underground level, Eternal Hell, release all the prisoners there, and then capture Impel Down layer by layer!"

"Capture Impel Down?" Inazuma frowned. "Are you sure we can pull off something like that? The prisoners on the sixth underground level are strong, but Magellan is even stronger!"

"With Magellan's Devil Fruit abilities, he alone could suppress the entire Impel Down if he used his powers properly. He could turn the entire prison into a poisonous domain without even needing to confront us directly."

Buggy understood Inazuma's concern and smiled. "You're underestimating the prisoners on the sixth level too much! And you're underestimating me as well!"

"I'm not going to fall in the same place twice!"

"When the time comes, I'll take care of Magellan myself!"

Through their last encounter, Buggy had gained a general understanding of Magellan's strength.

Three days ago, Buggy might have doubted his ability to defeat Magellan. But now, Buggy is determined to show Magellan the power of three days of rigorous training!

With five days left before the big event, Buggy is growing stronger by the minute. In these five days, he is confident he can elevate his strength to a whole new level!

The silent Inazuma mirrored the vivid memory of Buggy's struggle three days ago. No one could quite understand where Buggy's newfound confidence stemmed from.

Yet, Buggy didn't seem like someone who would make empty boasts, especially when it concerned everyone's lives. They trusted Buggy wouldn't joke about something so serious.

With Buggy's confidence shining through, they had no choice but to believe in him!
