25 Loguetown

In the skies of East Blue a tiny ship could be seen soaring through the air at a blinding speed in the direction of Loguetown. This was of course Jack and Luke using Jack's fire as a propulsion to stay airborn.

"So how long is this gonna take?" Luke asked curiously. "Well I've never been there before so I can only guess, but based on the map I'd say maybe an hour at the most at the rate we're going" Jack stated calmly.

For the remainder of the flight they talked about the training they would be doing, and how they could combine certain abilities to make stronger and better ones. It wasn't until about 45 minutes later when they saw an island fast approaching that they began to get serious again. For how fast they were going they would most likely overshoot the island by a good margin, so Jack ran to the front of the ship and started to unleash a thrust of fire to slow them down.

The fire wasn't anywhere near as powerful as the launching charge, but it did the job of slowing them greatly. They were descending gradually while still maintaining their course, and landed on the water as an airplane would on a runway strip. "That was the best landing so far, so how come you've never tried landing like that?" Luke asked wit a raised eyebrow.

Jack was staring dumbly over the water for a few minutes before he said, "I don't know. We never overshot our mark before so it never occurred to me. Anyway we're here!!"

After a few minutes of sailing the got to the docks of Loguetown, where they disembarked and stored the ship before making their way towards the marine building while pulling a cart full of corpses. When they got there the man at the desk looked towards all of the bodies then looked to a pile of wanted posters. He saw many of the big time pirate captains in East Blue as well as a few of their right hand men in that cart all dead.

The man went into the back room and got his superior who came and looked at the corpses as well. It didn't take long for them to confirm the bounties were who they thought, then paid the two bounty hunters a very sizeable reward. Before leaving, Jack asked where he could find Captain Smoker, and the clerk told him that he was out walking through the town right now.

"Come on. There is a sword shop that I think you'll be interested in here" Jack said as they left the building. After 30 minutes of asking around they finally found the arms shop. When they went inside they saw a short man with black hair that goes to the sides of his head. He has tan skin and a red nose while also wearing a blue shirt. 'HA! Same guy as the anime. Let's hope he's still got the sword.' Jack thought happily.

"Hello and welcome to my humble shop. We have an extremely large selection of weapons to choose from, so please if you have something specific in mind then don't hesitate to ask!!" The short man said while rubbing his palms together.

Jack walked over to Luke and spoke, "Go over to those barrels and look for any sword that jumps out at you. I wanna see if you got the mind of a swordsman." Luke thought this was an odd sort of test, but Jack almost always had a reason for something even if it could be extremely childish at times.

While Luke was looking through the barrels Jack was looking at some really nice looking pistols in a glass case, although none were as nice as his dozen or so revolvers. "Hey shopkeeper! I'd like to look at these two here." Jack called to the owner as he was pointing at two twin single shot derringer like pistols. They were small enough that he could put them in his sleeve or boot and have them go unnoticed, or the same for a certain bartender that didn't like to wear her guns.

"Excellent choice there friend! Those two came in about a month ago, and even though they require special ammunition, they shoot straighter than any pistol you'll find around. They also don't lose out in power compared to the bigger pistols." The shopkeeper said proudly as he took them out of the display case.

Jack looked them over for a bit, then he checked the ammunition and how easily they were to reload and such. "I'll take both of these as well as whatever he's getting." Jack said as he pointed over towards Luke.

Luke was digging through the barrels looking at the swords, but when he grabbed the handle of a certain sword he froze. He felt an ominous feeling coming from the sword that he couldn't explain. Pulling the sword from the barrel he checked it's blade and saw a black flame like pattern.

Jack noticed him looking at the sword and smirked. 'So he does have a talent with the sword. I knew the fucker was talented, but he's more like Zoro than I thought!' Jack rejoiced happily in his mind. When the shopkeeper saw the sword the stranger was holding his face paled. He was about to say something, but was cut off by Jack.

"That's a nice blade there. Notice anything about it that makes you stop and think? A deathly feeling one might say?" At Jack's words, both the shopkeeper and Luke turned their attention towards him. "You can feel the curse too?" Luke asked with raised eyebrows.

"The Sandai Kitetsu is one of the lowest grade swords among the Meito. Like all of its predecessor Kitetsu swords, this one is said to be cursed. A master swordsman cuts only what he wants to and the blade is just a tool. Are you going to let some weapon be in control or are you going to take the reigns and be a master?" Jack said with a knowing smile on his face.

Luke may not have the drive to be the greatest swordsman in the world, but with his talent he damn well could be. Also telling him that an object might control him fueled a fire in him as Luke hated to lose, and he definitely would not be controlled by anyone or anything.

Luke stared at the sword for a bit longer, slowly putting his Will into the sword. Jack watched as the sword turned black, then back to it's original colour as Luke pulled his Will from it. Luke tossed the sword into the air and then spun around with his eyes closed while holding the sword's sheath above his head. The sword came back down and slid right into the sheath.

"If that would have missed I'd be cleaning your corpse off the floor you moron!" Jack shouted at him. Luke just smiled victoriously at him before saying, "I will be a true master that no one will ever control, especially not a sword, so I will be taking this one!!"

Jack just sighed at him before turning his attention back to the wide eyed shopkeeper then said, "You heard the dummy, he wants that one. How much for everything?" The shopkeeper snapped back to reality at those words. "$450,000 berries for everything, but hang on a second!" The shopkeeper said as he rushed up stairs then came back a few seconds later holding a black sword.

"This sword belongs in the hands of a true master swordsman. I would be honoured if that you would take it too." The shopkeeper said seriously. Luke walked up to the sword and pulled it from it's sheath and noticed the uneven temper pattern. Nodding his head with a big grin on his face he said, "The sword feels right, I'll take it too!"

Jack walked over and dropped $1,000,000 berries on the counter. "You can have it free of charge!" The shopkeeper said with a smile on his face. "Thanks, but we will still be leaving that money for you. Their might come a time when a green haired moron comes here, just let him pick two swords of his choosing." Jack said with a knowing smile as he thought 'Zoro will come through here to get to the Grandeline, and knowing his abilities to break swords, he will come to this shop.'

Jack and Luke left the shop and started walking around town. Jack stopped in his tracks when he noticed a tall man with white hair and white coat lined with cigars. "Why'd we stop?" Luke curiously asked as he noticed how Jack was in a daze. "We found him. That man right there is Smoker" Jack said as he pointed towards the white haired man.

Smoker noticed that the two strangers were staring at him, and one even pointed towards him. He walked over to the two and asked, "Can I help you?" Jack eyed Smoker for a few seconds before saying, "Can we go somewhere more private to talk? I would like to discuss something with you." Smoker was curious what these two had to discuss with him, and by the way they held themselves they were no pushovers.

"Follow me." Smoker said as he turned and started walking down a dead street. They eventually came to a place called the Roger bar, and walking inside they noticed it was completely dead. The only person in here was a short old bartender that was wearing a purple hat.

Smoker led Luke and Jack over to the bar and took a seat on a stool. "Old man, give me a bottle of rum." Smoker said in a deep voice. "I don't have anything here for you!" The old man said angrily as he turned to look over at the two people with Smoker. "Who are your friends?" The old man asked.

Smoker turned his gaze to Jack then said, "They aren't friends, they just wanna talk in private. I figured seeing as how this bar is always empty then it would be perfect." The amusement in Smokers voice didn't go unnoticed by Luke, but Jack already knew that these two liked to bicker back and forth with each other from the anime.

"So what do you wanna talk about?" Smoker asked curiously. Jack thought about how he should phrase it, but ultimately decided to just be straight forward. Smoker wasn't the kind of person who liked fancy words anyway. "I want you to leave the marines and come join me" Jack said calmly.

Smoker was taken aback for a few seconds at the mans words. "Join you for what?" Smoker asked with a raised eyebrow. Jack stood up from his seat before he gave a formal bow as he spoke, "I am Jack Sparrow. My goal is to eradicate the World Government and the nobles while also getting rid of their dogs the marines. Pirates are definately included on that list as well."

Smoker was stunned for a few seconds, and not just him, but the old bartender as well was looking at Jack as if he had just grown a second head. "Are you a revolutionary?" Smoker asked while turning part of his body into smoke.

Before Smoker could react, he was pulled into Jack's grasp and his powers deactivated. He was slammed into the floor and his Jitte was grabbed by Luke who stuck the Seastone end of it against Smokers throat.

"We are not Revolutionaries, and we are not pirates. We are definitely considered criminals by the marines and the World Government, but to the rest of the world we are protectors. We are sick of slavery and we are tired of the marines pretending to be something they are not. The marines turn a blind eye to the nobility and even enforce their sick plans. Is that the kind of man you are Smoker? Because if it is, I'll kill you right here and now!!" Jack said menacingly. The old bartender had eyes the size of dinner plates as he watched on in fascination, while Smoker was looking towards Jack with wide eyes.

"It was you... You were the one that attacked the Goa Kingdom and killed all of the nobles." Smoker stated in disbelief. Jack clapped his hands slowly a few times before he said, "You are indeed correct. I went around the city and killed every slaver, rapist, drug dealer and murderer I could find while also freeing the slaves and sending them somewhere that they would be safe. I'm also the one that killed the 3 Vice Admirals 2 weeks ago."

Smoker's eyes went wide at those last words. "WHY?!!" Smoker yelled angrily. "I believe you meant "Why did I kill the Vice Admirals" and the answer is simple. They were not good people. The moment they saw me they tried to interrogate me. Then when I didn't answer them they drew their weapons on me. The marines claim justice, but they are the most corrupt organization of them all." Jack stated bluntly. "The marines fight for justice!!" Smoker shot back loudly.

"Oh really?!! Was it justice when they killed every member of Ohara for wanting to learn history?!! Was it justice when they gave the only surviving member of that island a $79,000,000 berry bounty even though she was just a kid?!! The nobles burned down the slums in the Goa kingdom a few years ago, killing thousands of people just to make a good impression on the Celestial Dragons!! The marines killed the friends and family of my friend for the sole purpose to have slaves!! They sit back and only act when the World Government says to. So tell me, where is the justice in that?!!" Jack roared angrily.

For a few moments during his outburst he had wanted to kill Smoker, and he might have done it if he hadn't known Smoker's personality from the anime. Smoker tried to reply back, but every time he opened his mouth he closed it again. "I don't want to kill you Smoker, but if you stay a marine you will be my enemy and I will not have you come back to bite me in the ass later because I let you go." Jack said after he calmed himself down a bit.

Smoker was in deep thought. He joined the marines to stop pirates and help people, but he couldn't refute any of the claims Jack had just said. The marines worked for the Government and they were tasked to do some very unpleasant things that went against what was right.

After a period of silence Smoker asked, "Are you going to kill all of the marines?" Without even skipping a beat Jack said, "There are some I don't want to kill, but after I give my declaration to the world, anyone wearing a marine uniform will be killed on sight."

"Then what of the people of this world? Without the marines there to protect them then pirates will rule over everything, kill, rape and murder, the very thing you want to stop." Smoker asked seriously. "I will admit that this world needs someone like the marines to protect it from pirates and criminals, and an organization like that is being formed this very minute."

Smoker couldn't believe Jack's statement. "Could I have some time to think about it?" Smoker asked solemnly. Jack gave him a nod before he turned his gaze to Luke. Taking that as a signal, Luke removed the weapon from Smoker's throat and left it on the bar. "I will come and talk to you tomorrow evening Smoker. I got to make a call to Garp anyway." Jack said as he and Luke started walking outside.

When Smoker heard Jack saying that he was going to call Garp, the hero of the marines, then he was more confused than he already was. "Are you gonna just sit there on my floor like a rug?" The old bartender asked curiously.

When Smoker got to his feet he looked over to the old man, who was shaking his head. "What?" Smoker asked. "With a man like that then the great age of pirates is going to come to an end soon. I have no doubt he is gonna do exactly what he claimed. I guess it's time for me to shut down this bar." The old man replied back with a far away look in his eyes.

'Are the marines really finished?' Smoker thought as he made his way back to the marine compound.
