One Piece: Against the Gods

Born with pedigree. Deemed by the masses as gods, but caged in a hellscape that camouflages itself as a holy land. What would a person do after seeing the atrocities that humanity are capable of? Destined to be a puppet, a child struggles against his chains and vows to bring down the so-called Gods on earth who only bring suffering and torment. __ Hello everyone, I just really like One Piece's story. The GOAT Oda is simply too poweful. And I'm going to try to put a spin on it. A celestial dragon doing his own things. I will try not to rehash the original story. So do forgive me for copying the GOAT a couple of times. This will be a bit slow for some, a bit fast for others. I'd say it's a mix of both which is weird. Anyways, give this a shot. Warning: He'll have a lot of girls as there are too many good ones in One Piece. I won't waste your time if you don't like that. Though I will try my hardest to make it organic.

Chapter 8: Third Research Institute

After a month of training the six powers. Tyr and his group were currently chilling in their little hut and it was suddenly blown away.

"I am here, buahahaha!" Garp punched the hut away and everybody glared at him.

"That was our house here... You!" Hancock immediately darted towards him like a viper.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Hancock rampaged and Garp held her down.

He went wide eyed when he felt his skin tingle. 'No way...'

"Hancock, calm down." Tyr rubbed her head and her bloodshot eyes seem to sober up as she stopped struggling like a vicious beast.

"Look at what you did, old fart. You don't just destroy things like that." Tyr sighed as he scolded Garp.

He looked at the Boa sisters and they were genuinely upset.

"Uhhh, sorry?" Garp apologized, but they didn't even look at him.

"Hah, apologies are cheap, Garp. Remember that." Tyr sighed and he started packing their things.

Garp got discouraged as he didn't know that the little hut they had there meant a lot for them.

It was their very own home. Away from Mary Geoise that has a lot of bad memories.

"I'll wait at the docks." Garp left as he knew that he messed up, big time.

After packing up their things, Marigold and Sandersonia went to the docks as well to carry them.

Hancock though, was just staring at their ruined hut.

"Come on, Hancock." Tyr patted her shoulder and she gritted her teeth.

"I'll never forgive him." Hancock teared up. "Hancock, home is where the heart is. Don't forget that." Tyr stroked her hair.

She went quiet for a moment. "Yeah... My home is where you guys are... But that doesn't mean I'm not pissed as hell." Hancock glared at the direction of the docks.

"Come on, we need to say goodbye to Luffy and Ace." Tyr smiled and Hancock let go of her attachment to their hut for now.

They arrived at the docks and saw Luffy, Makino, and Ace.

"You guys awe going alweady!?" Luffy cried as he put tears and snot on Tyr's shirt.

"You're dirtying my shirt, squirt. What? Gonna miss the sea king meat?" Tyr laughed as he pried off Luffy.

"But... But you guys awe the coolest!" Luffy sniffled and Makino cleaned his face.

"Sorry about Luffy, he isn't good with goodbyes." Makino smiled wryly.

"Don't worry squirt, we might visit later" Tyr patted his head.

"Sweaw!" Luffy demanded and Tyr chuckled. "We swear." Tyr helped Makino clean him up.

"Don't you think that goodbyes with tears is sad? Send us away with a smile because we will see each other again, squirt." Tyr ruffled his hair.

"Un, I'll be waiting." Luffy nodded at him. Tyr then looked at Ace.

"You take care of Luffy, Ace. You know the squirt's an idiot." Tyr laughed and Ace snorted.

"I know how to deal with him, just lure him in with meat so he doesn't do anything stupid." Ace grinned.

"Bye Makino, we'll be going!" They said goodbye to the green-haired girl.

They boarded Garp's boat and the whole village came to say goodbye.

"There they go." Makino smiled as they disappeared over the horizon.

"Yeah, I guess we'll see you later, big bro." Ace had a small smile on his face.

"Byeee! Bwing a lot of meat next time!" Luffy shouted at the edge of the dock.

"Hah, only you, Luffy." Ace rubbed his temples at his antics.

Meanwhile, Tyr was the only one at the deck with Garp as the Boa sisters were still angry at him.

"I have a question, Garp. You can say I'll forgive you if you answer." Tyr looked him in the eyes and Garp felt a bit threatened.

'He's definitely going to ask something troublesome.' Garp winced.

"Who's Ace's father?" Tyr asked and Garp went pale.

"Uhhh, I don't know?" Garp started sweating and Tyr raised a brow.

"I see, probably a pirate. He can't be Charlotte, Linlin's. Ace wouldn't get out of her territory otherwise." Tyr started name dropping notorious pirates.

Garp gulped as he had no doubt that Tyr would definitely narrow it down, soon.

"Kaido of the beasts is a no go as well. He's an oni, Ace should have horns if that's the case." Tyr hummed as Garp got increasingly nervous.

"Edward Newgate's a bust too. He's known for taking in orphans. He must want a family. And he'll never abandon Ace if that was the case." Tyr squinted his eyes at Garp.

He picked the most notorious pirates that sail the sea. Called the emperors. The world government even put ridiculous bounties on them.

"Okay! Okay! You'll already know anyways, his real name isn't Portgas, D. Ace. It's Gol, D. Ace. He named him after his trusty sword." Garp grumbled.

"Ahhh, I see why he asked me that." Tyr sighed and Garp squinted his eyes.

"Did he reveal it to you already!? Lead with that you punk!" Garp raised his fist.

"Shut up, I'm still telling the story here. He asked if the child inherits the parent's sin." Tyr expounded and Garp's face fell.

"Roger... He wasn't an evil man. Most of the marines that try to fight his crew even come back alive. I would know, we clashed more times than I could count." Garp's shoulders slumped.

"Propaganda by the world government huh?" Tyr nodded with a grave expression.

"He's just an explorer, you can barely call him a pirate. But it is our duty to catch them and throw them to Impel Down." Garp rolled his eyes.

"You're a really bad parent, aren't you?" Tyr deadpanned at him.

"Huh!? I'll have you know, my son grew up excellently! But he fractured from the marines." Garp clicked his tongue.

"You idiot, then tell him Roger's exploits. Aren't you one of the only ones who know him best besides his friends and crew?" Tyr facepalmed.

"Oh... Right. Ace is just... So closed off." Garp gave a weak excuse.

"Then write a journal and give it to him. I don't know him much, you'll do a much better job at that." Tyr sighed.

"I... I guess, thank you." Garp bowed and that surprised him.

"Ace... He's a troubled child. Ever since I told him, he has been doubting his existence. Thank you for helping him." Garp thanked him sincerely.

"Don't make me blush, old man. I'm Ace's big bro now." Tyr laughed.

"You're younger than him by two years, brat." Garp deadpanned at him.

"He calls me big bro, much better than old man or gramps." Tyr shrugged and Garp smacked him.

"Cheeky little brat." Garp glared. "Shut up, he likes me more than you and you know it!" Tyr laughed.

They then travelled back to Mary Geoise. "You better master the six powers when I come to get you again. Then we'll talk about the next stage of haki." Garp smiled at them.

"Old fart, you do know that the majority of people can't do that, right?" Tyr rolled his eyes at him.

"I don't care! Go figure something out, stinking brats." Garp picked his nose and snorted.

"Slave driver." They grumbled and Tyr led them back to his room.

He then went to Saturn's lab in order to give another idea he cooked up in his head.

If devil fruits were tied to one's DNA. Then couldn't they replicate it if they sequence the DNA of a person after they ate it?

"Hello, is sir Saturn here?" Tyr went to the lab after sanitizing himself.

"Saint Tyr, god warrior Saturn is expecting you actually." A scientist called for Saturn and he waited for a bit.

"Ahh, Tyr me boy. What brings you here?" Saturn was pleased with Tyr.

"I was actually checking if you had any success in the super soldier project. And I have an idea as well." Tyr revealed and Saturn had a small smile on his face.

"Thanks to you, we can raise a marine's doriki by ten times. The average, armed marine has 10 doriki. When we manipulated their lineage factor." Saturn nodded in satisfaction.

And it even resulted in much healthier marines as well.

'That's exactly what I want.' Tyr was relieved. It most likely won't be effective on stronger people. And the weaker marines would be able to fight pirates better.

"Though it just makes ones with higher doriki, healthier." Saturn was disappointed with that, but it was enough.

And they can just use strength in numbers instead.

"I see, that's good news. I am happy to help." Tyr bowed and Saturn raised his hand.

"Too humble and you'll appear insincere. Now, what is this about another idea?" Saturn squinted his eyes.

"It's about the lineage factor. Have you tried sequencing it from devil fruit users?" Tyr asked and Saturn nodded.

"We're currently trying to do so." Saturn explained and Tyr was pleased with that.

Because it will take a long ass time for them to try his idea.

"Then if you sequence it. How about trying to change a person's lineage factor and match it with a person who ate a devil fruit?" Tyr suggested.

"Interesting... Replicating it with pure science you say?" Saturn started mumbling, even forgetting he was even there.

"Ahem, forgive me for my rambling. You have once again given us a good idea." Saturn smirked and Tyr nodded.

"Can I perhaps meet the one that's heading the project? I want to look at the results and other factors going into it." Tyr hoped he would agree.

"Only that? You are too humble. I would've argued to the gorosei that you should receive a powerful devil fruit so you can test it and see where it will take you. But if that's what you want, then so be it." Saturn agreed and he will talk with the gorosei.

"Thank you, sir." Tyr bowed and he said his goodbyes.

When he left, Saturn stared at him. "Hmmm? Is it because of his special genes? Or is it just dumb luck? Anyways, project KING can already be considered a success." Saturn returned to his office.

Returning to his room, Tyr greeted the Boa sisters.

"We're going to a research facility. I'm going to get rid of the hoof of the flying dragon on your backs." Tyr smiled at them.

They froze and stared at Tyr in disbelief. "R-really? We'll finally be free from their accursed mark?" The sisters stared at each other and teared up.

"Yup, we might spend some time there. But I'm pretty confident I can learn how to do a skin graft pretty easily." Tyr nodded in pride.

"Tyr!" They glomped on him and he chuckled. "Easy, easy."

"But... You've done so much for us." Hancock nuzzled her head on his chest.

"Well, you girls taught me how to refine my haki. And well, life will be incredibly boring without you." Tyr chuckled.

"Sis, let's pack our things. I can't wait." Sandersonia suggested in excitement.

"Yeah, we'll finally get rid of this accursed mark. We're still staying at Mary Geoise. But it's still another type of freedom." Marigold cried tears of happiness.

"Un! We'll definitely celebrate that day!" Hancock hugged them tightly and Tyr looked at them fondly.

"Don't be hasty, we'll need to wait for the approval of father's colleagues." Tyr had a wry expression on his face.

"It doesn't matter, you can still get permission to do it here in Mary Geoise. That Saturn guy would most likely allow it." Hancock hypothesized.

"Well, that's true. But it would be much better to change it without prying eyes, yeah?" Tyr explained and they nodded.

After being told that they were getting rid of the ugly mark on their backs. Their bad mood went away immediately due to Garp's carelessness.

They were over the clouds for days. And the day came that they were going to a place called third research institute.

Where they'll meet with Vegapunk who is in charge of the research projects of the world government.
