( Chiron's Pov )

" That son of a bitch actually did it. He actually managed to get all of those monsters to form a crew under him."

I said to myself, tightly gripping my right shoulder where my arm used to be while reading the newest headline in the newspaper.

I continued reading the bombshell that was today's newspaper. As I continued reading, I couldn't help but worry about the future of this world.

Chiron wasn't the only one with this reaction as people around the world woke up to the same horrifying news as him.

All the newspapers read the same headline: The World's Strongest Pirate Crew is formed, The Rocks Pirates.

It said "Yesterday, this crew was formed under the leadership of the vile and corrupt Rocks D. Xebec. Through unknown, but likely underhanded means, he managed to acquire Edward Newgate and the Evil Spirit Charlotte Linlin.

For those who don't know those 3 all have some of the highest bounties right now, and there is no doubt in anyone's mind that those numbers will only continue to increase.

The reason? Well, those 3 were previously all notorious criminals. Their crimes range from pillaging villages to destroying entire islands.

The world can only silently wonder what the creation of this crew means for the people's peace and prosperity. We can only hope the Marines come to our rescue for if they don't this band of criminals will likely destroy all that is dear to our hearts."

[ 20 Minutes Later ]

After taking some time to digest the news, I decided to go show Moro, as this would affect her as well.

" Honey, look at this," I spoke as I gave the newspaper to Moro who was making breakfast for us. Achilles was outside training as usual before breakfast. Although he increased the intensity of his training compared to before. He would most likely be able to beat a Marine captain from the 4 seas with his current abilities.

Moro looked at the newspaper in anger as if she was looking at a mortal enemy of hers. She crumpled the paper in her hands, while simultaneously leaking a bit of her conqueror's haki out before she realized what she was doing, and ceased doing it.

" Sorry about that, I still can't help but want to kill him every time I see his face," Moro said looking at our missing arms.

" What he does now is no longer any of our concern. This won't impact our lives anymore. Let's just ignore this. But there is no doubt a new era is about to emerge from this. There are too many influential people involved for it to not be." I spoke throwing away the newspaper in the garbage can.

" The seas won't be safe anymore," Moro said to me whilst continuing her cooking.

" Oh fuck, what about Achilles? Should we allow him to go to the seas now?" She spoke in a worried tone.

" Dear, we have known about Achilles' ambitions for a while now. Besides that the chances that he'll actually meet Xebec are minuscule. And you should know that by now your grandpa is already coming up with tons of plans to defeat Xebec."

" Also, both of us know that our son's ambitions are far greater than he is willing to show us as of yet," I reassured Moro with a sigh.

( Achilles' Pov )

After I finished taking a shower, I couldn't help but fall into contemplation. The reason was that my mom had leaked a bit of her conqueror's haki, and while it was suppressed almost immediately it was still powerful.

For something to make my mother let out her haki must have been serious.

" Well, there's no use thinking about it, as it'll only be speculation." I thought as I made my way downstairs for a snack. I quickly decided to eat oranges, as they were healthy and refreshing.

*Munch*

As I went to throw my orange peels out I caught a glimpse of a paper in the garbage. Not just any paper, but a paper that made me fall on my butt out of shock. This paper spoke of the beginning of the Rocks Pirates.

" Fuck why do they exist!"

This simple paper made me realize something, while I have been training, I've been too lax. Thinking that through basic training I can become strong enough to take on anyone, I completely forgot that monsters in every sense of word exist in this world. Monsters that are now all a part of one crew.

After that I had made my mind up, one was to train even harder as I needed to be able to protect myself on the seas from such monstrous existence, and the second was to gather a powerful crew for myself, one that would help me combat other monstrous crews if such a situation came to life.

I no doubt have a couple of good years to gather my crew as the marines would be too busy with the Rocks Pirates to care for someone like me.

At this thought I paused. Realizing that what I had been striving for so long had finally appeared. A goal for myself and the future. I would become a pirate, a pirate with a crew infamous enough to match their captain, a pirate who's sailed the entire sea and has completely mapped it out, a pirate who the Marines would think twice before messing with, and finally a pirate whose name echo's throughout the entire world.

I don't want this life to be like my last where I died as a no-name person. Someone who not a single soul could recall, no in this world I would be someone people would know, respect, and perhaps even fear.

[A/N: While this goal may seem sudden it really isn't as the poster of the Rocks pirates has shown him that he needs to be better. Also, this isn't his final goal for all those who are wondering, it will continue to improve and grow just as Achilles' character will.]

As Achilles had these thoughts he never noticed two pairs of proud eyes watching him.

And that's it, folks. Achilles has just come to some pretty important realizations in this chapter.

Not only has he now gotten a goal but he has also decided to train harder. Whilst the goals may seem a bit 2 Dimensional right now, as Achilles continues to grow, his character will as well. Indeed I am talking about everyone's favorite writing mechanic Character Development.
