Daichi once again tried to land a strike on Ryu to no avail, 'Why do you dodge so much!'
"Didn't expect id need to use this against him" he thought, before Quickly inhaling and dashing towards Ryu
Ryu's eyes widened Realising what Daicgi was planning to do, He quickly raised the sword he was given for the first time in this bout
The swords of wooden swords clashing could be heard as daichi swung diagonally before Ryu getting deflected by Ryu's own sword
"He's fast!" Ryu thought as he barely deflected Daichi's strike
Daichi had a maniacal grin on his face as he looked into Ryu's eyes 'I like you!'
He said which caught Ryu off-guard as he took that chance to strike him in the stomach
The sound of wood hitting flesh was heard as Ryu backed off clenching his stomach "Not as hard as kaido's strikes but still very painful' he thought as he tried to regain his breath
He soon Took a lungful of air as he dashed towards Daichi, He just grinned back before rushing towards Ryu at full speed

Back inside the meeting room the elders and leaders including the old lady could all hear what was going on outside
Minamoto just smiled "Ryu's finally making proper friends, Unlike the ogre in the forest" he thought to himself as he focused back on the meeting
The meeting kept going for 30 more minutes before everyone started leaving, Minamoto just stood before leaving through the back door
He soon opened the door to see Ryu facing off against that black haired kid that kept bugging him to fight whenever he visited the capital
He just stood there until he noticed the brat was using breathing techniques "Ho? Did he really think that was all he needed to beat me" as he stroked his learned
Soon he saw Ryu get struck before shaking his head in disappointment "Focus Ryu" he thought to himself as he saw Ryu dash towards the boy
__________Ryu's Pov___________
Ryu sharply I hailed before he dashed again towards Daichi, even as he hit the boy his strikes did nothing to him
The boy was as sturdy as a boulder, as he kept trying to land hits on Daichi,
"Tch, He's to strong I might have to use a form on him if I want to beat him" he thought before dodging to the side a daichi's sword struck the ground where he previously stood
Ryu Took in a lung full of air before Dashing towards Daichi as he thought to himself "Flame breathing first form: Uknowing Fire!"
His wooden sword soon caught aflame as he raised his sword ready to strike daichi, But before he could do so someone caught him by hand before deflecting his attack making him hit one of the many tree's in the grounds
The Sound of wood hitting wood could be heard and as soon as it was another sound was heard
*Creeeck*
The once Sturdy tree that stood there proudly now started sliding off it's trunk as a clean slice could be seen where ryu struck the tree
_______________General Pov___________
Daichi's eye widened as he saw what Ryu's attack did to that tree as he huffed and tried to catch his breath
"Was that.... What was going to happen to me" He thought to himself as his eyed watered before he started sniffling
'Shhh, there there child" came a voice as he looked towards the man who saved him it was the old man Minamoto
He patted the chilsa head as he sniffled and hung to the old man
Ryu just stood their horrified "Was I just about to-" but before he could continue that train of thought his grandfather's voice could be heard
He looked back to see his grandfather holding the boy he almost killed as he sniffled into his arms
A few moments later a few more people walked from inside to see what was happening most likely being the children's parents
Kyoku's eye widened as he saw the fallen tree and the boy in Minamoto's arms 'What happened here!'
He shouted out as a man wearing a black kimono walked towards Minamoto as he took his child from his arms
The boy just sniffled before he cried into his father's arm, as Ryu stood the guilt-stricken as he saw his grandfather standing there with a frown on his face for the first time in his life Did he see his grandfather with such an expression
Minamoto just turned back before he bowed towards the Riku family's head 'Forgive my grandson for his actions against your child' he said as he bowed down further
The man stood there baffled before replying 'No it's Daichi's own fault for starting the spar, please raise your head Minamoto-sama' he said as he bowed himself
A few moments later everyone left except Minamoto and Ryu as he stood in front of Ryu as he sighed
Ryu's eyes stared to tear up but before Minamoto could speak Ryu said 'Please forgive me Jiji! I didn't mean to use a form' he said as he bowed down towards his grandfather his head touching the ground he lay on
Minamoto's expression softened as he put his hand on his grandson's shoulder 'Listen Ryu what you did was irresponsible and reckless but..'
'I'm proud that you can see your own faults so please never use the techniques I teach you to harm other's, those are meant to protect yourself and your loved ones' he said before hugging the young boy
Ryu just cried into his grandfather's kimono, as they sat there for a few moments before Minamoto stood up holding Ryu's hand
'Let's go get that sheath before we start heading home' He said as he ruffled Ryu's hair

I couldn't sleep so I decided to write this before heading to bed sorry if it was a bit short hopefully I can get some sleep

Either way hope you liked the little sprinkle of character developemeng, I was tempted to make an uncle ben moment and say that with great power comes great responsibility hahaha
