CHAPTER EIGHT

SCARLET'S POV:

The next day I got ready and today I wore my special dress that I had been keeping to show Mason. Once I was completely ready I head out of house to office. I reached office in half an hour. I went inside and saw Laila on the accounts spot. I went to her and looking at me she whistles, "Someone is looking very beautiful?"

I smile and nodded, "Mason and I had a dinner together yesterday. We are officially dating." She put her both hands at her mouth, "Oh my God, I am so happy for you baby." She hugged me saying so. I am so happy today and having a friend who is as happy as you are is a gift from God. I went toward Mason's room. I knocked at his door and his stern voice reached my ears.

"COME IN"

I flip the handle and went inside. "Good morning." He looked up at me for a brief minute he checked me out. I blush under his gaze. "You are looking really pretty today." I smiled looking down, "Just for you." He stood up from his seat and walked towards me. "May I ask why did you wear so stunning dress at office? You want ne to lose my mind during meeting?" I walk a step behind, "No.. I just wanted to look good." He held me by my waist and pulled me to him.

"You mind if I kiss you?" He asked looking at my lips. I close my eyes and I could feel his breath on my lips. His lips were inches away from mine when someone knocked at the door. I slowly opwn my eyes. The knock broke the spell. He moved away from me and went to his chair, "Come in." Laila walks in. "I wanted to congrats you both." She looked at me and noticed my red face and fast breath, "You ok?" I nodded and went out of the room. I went in my room and sat at my seat. My heart is still beating fast. Mason never came this close to me. He was about to kiss me. I close my eyes and felt the sensation of his breath on my face. A smile spread across my lips.

BRANDON'S POV:

I was still engrossed in my work when the sight of Scarlet smiling to herself caught my attention. I couldn't help but be curious about what had happened. "Hey Scarlet, what's got you smiling like that?" I asked, leaning back in my chair.

She looked up, her cheeks still flushed. "Oh, Brandon, you won't believe what happened. Mason and I are officially dating now, and this morning he almost kissed me."

I raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Wow, that's great news! I'm happy for you two. So, what happened exactly?"

Scarlet blushed even more and told me about how she had dressed up in a special dress to show Mason and how he had complimented her appearance. She then recounted the intimate moment they had shared before being interrupted by Laila.

I couldn't help but tease her a little. "Seems like things are really heating up between you two. Must be hard to concentrate on work with all these distractions."

She nodded, a dreamy smile still on her face. "You have no idea. My heart is still racing. Mason has never gotten this close to me before."

I chuckled. "Well, enjoy the excitement while it lasts. It's always great to experience those exhilarating moments in a new relationship."

Scarlet nodded and went back to her desk, still lost in her thoughts. I couldn't help but feel happy for her. Love was a beautiful thing, and it seemed like she had found it with Mason.

MASON'S POV:

I sat back at my chair and Laila said, "Looks like I spoiled some good time of yours?" I shrug my shoulders, "I don't think so. I think this is what we do everyday?" She widen her eyes, "You do that every day?" I look down shaking my head at her silly thought, "Work Laila, I mean I do work everyday. Now can you describe what are you doing here?" She nods, "Oh, yeah. Scarlett told me you are officially dating now. So I came here to congrats you." I smile genuinely this time. She is so caring. "Yes, but please keep it a secret. I don't want anyone to find out about this yet."

She nods and went out of the room.
