When the both of them finished tickling each other, they stared at the ceiling catching their breaths and still smiling widely.

"You really are stubborn Lisa."

"Hahahaha, and you're quite mischievous and silly now Jane." She said still laughing. "I never knew you as a silly girl all my life, you know. You've always been a boring girl. You don't go out to parties, you don't go out on a date, and you refuse every guy who comes up to you."

Jane's wide smile gradually disappeared and turned to a sad one.

"Yeah, I know that very well. I've not seen anyone whom my heart beats for yet."

Lisa finally turned to Jane, using her hand as support to raise her head.

"But you keep refusing all the guys that come your way. You don't give them a chance in your life, so how will you know if one of them could be the one." Her voice now sounding worried.

Jane let out a sigh and closed her eyes and silence followed after.

"It should be love Lisa." She said finally breaking off the silence. "It should come naturally. I want to love that person naturally. I want the love to flow in me like I do read in novels and I see in movies."

"Those are only fictional work." She said looking irritated.

"I know. But people still feel love that way right? I want to feel that thing called love like the way my dad always tells me. How he fell in love with my mom, how his world changed, how it felt like you can't leave without that person and how it felt like you can only see that special someone. Nobody else but that person."

"Hmmm, I see.." as she averted her gaze back to the ceiling." You know Jane, despite being so beautiful, I also want that kind of love. But you see, your dad's era and our era are completely different now. That kind of love is hard to see now. If it's not a cheater, you'll actually get a liar or the both. Hope you're aware of all these."

"I know." She uttered almost in a whisper and finally opened her eyes still staring at the ceiling. "I just wish mine will be how I imagined it. I just wish there's someone different from the rest." She said closing her eyes back after the last word escaped her lips.

"Hmm." She said smiling at what her friend just said. "So what about the guy I told you about this morning."

Earlier this morning, Lisa had called her to tell her about how she set up a date with a rich handsome dude. When she got the news, she widened her eyes in surprise. She still wasn't expecting her friend to do such things anymore. When she last did things like thosw was couple of months ago. And because she wasn't hearing anymore hook-up from her, she thought she probably got tired of it and stopped.

"I don't know Lisa. I..."

"C'mmon now Jane." She said sitting down looking at her. "The guy's rich, and handsome, and girls are drooling over him. You should count your stars he picked interest in you."

"But.....but why...why did he pick interest in me. Why not you. It is you who is more beautiful than I am."

Lisa knew where she was coming from. She too was shocked when she first approached the young man that day, and he acted like he didn't see her. She made the first move which she never did until that day. His next words that came out from his mouth made her eyes widened. That jerk just said he wasn't interested in her and she should just go home. Nobody has ever spoken to her like that, but she still insisted. After a while, she finally told him about Jane and it was surprising that he said he like her. Lisa felt hurt at first, for been rejected by him and happy for her friend that this guy is actually interested in her friend. She couldn't help but smile widely at him that day when he said that. Finally, even if Jane rejected many guys, she was pretty sure she wouldn't reject this one.

She couldn't tell her all that happened and how he ended up picking interest in her.

"Well.....well, he just...." She started stuttering not knowing what to say.

"Just cancel it Lisa. I'm not interested." Said the girl who was already out from the bed, carrying her bag from the floor. "I need to do something very important." She stared at her friend who was sitting on the bed with confused expression written all over her face.

"Are you....."

"No, I'm not mad at you for any reason or anything. You're only doing what every good friend will do." She said pinching the middle of her brows and letting out a frustrating sigh. "I'm really not interested."

She turned and headed to the door.

"Bye Lisa."

Bye ja...."

She didn't finish her sentence before the door was slammed still leaving her sitting there. She blinked her eyes in confusion, wondering if she had said something bad to get her upset.
