Sidney

At Frank's house, Sidney sat at the table, buried in her schoolwork, when Reina entered the room. Her face lit up at the sight of her sister.

"Hello, familia," Reina greeted warmly.

Sidney, jumping up from her chair, rushed to hug Reina. "Reina! How are you? I've missed you!"

Reina smiled and returned the hug. "I've missed you too."

Sidney pulled away slightly, her eyes sparkling. "Are you sure you missed me? You would've come to visit sooner."

Reina sighed apologetically. "I'm sorry, dear. I've been busy."

Just then, Esme entered the room, coming from the kitchen. Reina immediately went to hug her mother.

"Mom!" Reina exclaimed. "How are you?"

Esme smiled, hugging Reina back. "I'm doing okay. How about you? Where's your husband?"

Reina smirked. "Making an entrance."

"Huh?" Esme asked, looking confused.

Just then, Noah entered the room, strolling confidently. "So, who lives here? Where are the living, and where are the rich?"

Sidney couldn't help but tease. "It's awful, Noah. You're a bad student and a slow learner."

Noah feigned hurt. "Ouch!" He laughed, earning chuckles from the others.

Sidney jumped up from her seat. "Watch me walk!" She strutted to the door and did an exaggerated catwalk. "You don't hurry in."

Noah grinned. "Noted, teacher."

Noah, noticing Esme, went over and hugged her warmly. "Good afternoon, Mom! How are you doing?"

Esme returned the hug. "I'm doing okay, and you?"

Noah grinned. "Good as always. My beautiful queen is treating me well."

Reina rolled her eyes playfully. "Of course... You're lucky to have me." The others burst into laughter.

Sidney, looking hopeful, asked, "Any gifts?"

Esme shot her a look. "Sidney, how many times have I told you that you're not a kid anymore?"

Sidney raised her arms in mock surrender. "I'm ten, Mom."

Noah, smiling, added, "Don't worry, Sidney. I got you a surprise."

Sidney's eyes lit up. "That's why you're my favorite brother-in-law!"

Reina shot her a teasing look. "Do you have another one?"

Sidney grinned mischievously. "Very soon."

Reina raised an eyebrow. "I'll tell Cherilyn about it."

Esme clapped her hands. "Sit down, guys. Let me get you something to eat."

Reina nodded. "I'll help. Mom, how's Grandma?"

Esme smiled. "She's fine." She turned to leave, followed by Reina.

Sidney, suddenly serious, whispered, "Forget what Mom said, okay? I'm a kid. I'm just seven."

Noah raised an eyebrow. "I thought you said you were ten."

Sidney sighed dramatically. "Okay, fine. You got me."

They both burst into laughter as Esme entered the kitchen.

Frank was busy organizing his shoe collection in the back of his shop when Cherilyn entered the shop. Frank immediately spotted her, his face lighting up as he quickly hid behind a display.

Cherilyn smirked. "Where's my favorite father? Daddy?"

Frank jumped out from behind the display. "Boo!"

Cherilyn let out a startled yelp. "Oh jeez, Dad!"

Frank laughed. "God, I love it when you get scared."

Cherilyn, catching her breath, exhaled. "You scared the crap out of me. How's business?"

Frank nodded proudly. "Going great, dear. How's work? Did you treat a patient today?"

Cherilyn nodded. "Yeah. My patient has Alzheimer's disease."

Frank's expression softened. "Oh, that's hard."

Cherilyn sighed, but managed a smile. "I know, right? Anyway, I came to help you. You know you're my favorite father."

Frank chuckled. "Yeah, but you're not my favorite daughter. Sidney is my moon, sky, and shooting star."

Cherilyn smirked. "Keep going, Dad. Make me jealous."

Both of them laughed.

"Did you create these new pairs?" Cherilyn asked, looking at the shoes on display. "They're mind-blowing."

Frank beamed. "Yeah, I made those last week."

Cherilyn ran her fingers over the shoes. "One out of one?"

Frank shook his head. "Nah, not this time. I made a lot of them, but that's the last one."

Cherilyn's eyes widened in admiration. "Whoa, sales are booming. Congratulations, Dad."

Frank smiled proudly. "Thank you. Can you take these pairs to Ava?"

Cherilyn nodded. "She's buying them?"

"Yes," Frank confirmed.

"Sure thing, Dad. I've got your back," Cherilyn said confidently.

"I know," Frank replied, and they both laughed as Cherilyn grabbed the shoes and headed out.

Ava was flipping through her new fashion designs in Jimmy's house, admiring the chic creations she had come up with. "These designs are chic, so chic," she murmured to herself, clearly proud of her work.

Jimmy, sitting nearby, glanced up from his newspaper. "Hey, sweetheart, how's everything going with your fashion design business?"

Ava beamed at her father. "It's been going really well. I've had some new designs, and they're getting a great response from customers."

"That's wonderful to hear," Jimmy said with a smile. "Your hard work is paying off. How is the boutique itself?"

"The boutique is doing great too," Ava replied. "We've had more foot traffic lately, and our online store is picking up as well."

Jimmy nodded with pride. "I'm proud of you for making it all work."

Ava smiled warmly. "Thanks, Dad. I love you so much."

Just then, Cherilyn entered, carrying a package of new shoes. "Orders up!" she announced cheerfully.

Ava looked up, stunned, and immediately hugged her friend. "Cherry, hi!"

"Hi, hi Mr. Jimmy. How are you, sir?" Cherilyn greeted him with a bright smile.

"I'm doing great, dear. How are you? Is your father still in the shop?" Jimmy asked, folding his newspaper.

"Yes, he sent me here," Cherilyn replied. "Here are your new pairs, Ava."

Ava gasped in excitement. "Oh my God... did your father create this?"

Cherilyn nodded proudly. "Mm-hmm. One out of one, just for Ava Star Jimmy."

Ava's eyes lit up. "I have to thank him in person. Let's go, Cherry!" She grabbed her friend's hand. "I'll see you later, Dad."

"Sure, sweetheart," Jimmy replied, watching them go.

"Bye, sir. Say hi to Mrs. Jimmy for me!" Cherilyn called over her shoulder.

"I will," Jimmy responded, giving them a wave.

As Ava and Cherilyn exited the room, Jimmy went back to his newspaper, his thoughts drifting back to his daughter's success.

At the dining table in Frank's house, Esme was setting down plates of food as Reina began serving everyone.

Noah took a bite and nodded with approval. "Mm, I'm enjoying this."

Sidney, who had been pouting, crossed her arms. "You guys went out to eat and you didn't invite me? How could you?"

Reina raised an eyebrow. "It's not for ten-year-olds."

Sidney shot a glance at Cherry, who had just walked into the room. "Cherry will explain her part," she said with a mischievous smile.

Cherry glanced at her and quickly shook her head. "No, I don't have time for you now," she said, her tone brisk. Then, turning toward Reina and Noah, she gave them a quick nod. "Hi, Reina. Hi, Noah, and... bye." Without waiting for a response, she hurried upstairs to her room.

Reina turned her attention to her sister. "Why didn't you help Dad at the shop today?"

Sidney shrugged nonchalantly. "He gave me the day off. I told him I could do it, but he's too stubborn."

Reina rolled her eyes. "Now I know where you got your stubbornness from."

Esme laughed from the kitchen. "She is unbelievable."

The family burst into laughter, the sounds of joy filling the room as they enjoyed their meal together.
