Title - Show of God's Anger 1
…
In an opulently decorated office, a white haired man sat quite relaxedly on an office chair while meticulously reading through a black and white covered book.
One look at him would Create an illusion that he was disconnected from reality itself, giving anyone who beheld him a feeling of detachment from the world…which was what it was.
"Sir…" An hesitant voice called out causing the man's facial expression to twitch a little. This slight movement tore him out of his state of concentration which caused him to sigh ruefully.
"What is it this time Aspect?" He asked the owner of the Voice as he closed the book and kept it on the table.
"They've been an overload of requests from the souls of Humanity in a certain region Within your territory." Aspect replied and zoomed in on the screen behind the man.
The man, feeling the movement behind him, sighed while turning his chair to face the screen. "Those Spams again?"
"You termed it prayers in the past, Sir."
"That I did, but not everything needs my attention, does it?" He replied with a question of his own while rubbing his temples.
"Precisely. That should tell you how important this one's for me to bring it to your notice." Aspect replied.
"Alright, lay it on me." Leucadius said and took a business-like posture.
"This Entire region of Sodom and Gomorrah has indulged in numerous and varying acts which you consider sinful, involving both sexual immorality, cruelty, social injustices and general wickedness." Aspect gave a brief summary while leaving the rest to the man to browse through.
Leucadius went through the various spam requests and found that they weren't directly being sent to him, but to anyone who cared to lend a listening ear.
At this point in Human history, Leucadius hadn't thought of giving out Laws to the people. He didn't see the need for it. The descendants of Noah had already filled the Earth and kings were already ruling over the masses.
Layers of Heaven would have borne the brunt of his anger.
Sexual immorality was Normal. Humans couldn't do without a bit of savagery. To him, these kings should embody a form of law. To him, these kings should at the very least, consider their subjects when acting. However they've chosen to fall into such deranged behaviors.
Unknown to Leucadius, as he read through the Spam requests, his anger was climbing causing his Aura to pour out wildly. It was a good thing that he was in his personal dimension - The Ninth Heaven - if not, the entire one was understandable. Wickedness and Cruelty were also traits of
. Social Injustice? It was as frequent as the morning sun…however.
Despair…
That was the Core emotion he felt in all these prayers. A lack of Hope. Now Leucadius wasn't a saint. To Humans he might be God. To his Angels, he may appear infallible.
He understood that there couldn't be an absence of Evil and Wickedness on Earth, but Hope…The lack of Hope was something he couldn't condone.
"Sir…". Aspect called out to Leucadius seeing the dark look on his face as well as how carelessly he was exuding his aura.
"Call me two Angels, I think I should pay a visit to Earth after all these years." Leucadius said after taking a deep breath and getting his emotions in order.
"Understood."
…
"What are your names?" Leucadius asked as he looked himself in a mirror. He had transformed his attire to look like those of the humans at the current moment and was just admiring himself.
"This one goes by Zephiel, My King." One of the two Angels replied as he got on one knee.
"And I am Pnemiel." The other followed suit.
"Hmm, we'll be going down to Earth to destroy a City…I expect you've been briefed?" Leucadius asked and turned around to get a good look at them.
They were merely Senior Angels, not too strong to be called a warrior angel or arch, but they were strong. Strong enough for the task he wanted accomplished.
"We were briefed on a mission but nothing about destroying a City." Pnemiel answered while looking at his partner questioningly.
Zephiel, perceiving his partner's curious glance also shook his head before they both turned to Leucadius.
"Take a look at this and meet me back here in five minutes." Leucadius said while shooting them both a bracelet, and before they could ask what it was, Leucadius sent them away.
…
It was one normal afternoon in the vast lands of Canaan when a bright golden portal opened up and three men walked out of it. Two blonde haired and handsome men and in their center, a white haired man, equally, if not more handsome.
"Where are we?" One of the blonde haired men asked while looking around and the other answered
"I believe we are in the land known as Mamre. It's a couple miles away from Sodom, it'll take us approximately three Earth days to reach it on foot."
"Seems like one of you read the mission report properly." The white haired man said with a small smile causing the first man to blush shamefully.
"It was an oversight on my part. Forgive me-"
"No need for those formalities now. We're not in Heaven. Down here, we're just three men." Leucadius said to him meaningfully.
"... Understood."
"That's good." Leucadius said and began walking towards a direction.
"My Lord, that's not the way," the second man said to Leucadius who nodded and said. "I am aware. But didn't I just say to do away with the formalities?"
"Oh…got it. Then is there a reason why we're heading that way?"
"You see Zephiel, I have this faithful servant living a semi-nomadic life around these parts. I'd like to pay him a visit and see how he's faring." Leucadius said.
"Oh…he must be quite the fortunate person then, to have the Lord himself visit him."
"I think it's the opposite actually. I'm quite fortunate to have someone like him serve me so devotedly. Do you know that a few years back, I had asked him to circumcise himself and every male member of his household as a covenant between us both and he didn't even question me?"
"Eh..? Is that…Foolish?"
"Oh? You think so too, right?" Leucadius chuckled at the question. "Imagine the pain he had to go through? Just thinking about it even makes me shiver."
"Truly…Humans really are weird." The other man said while crossing his hands across his lower body.
"They are. But you'll come to love them in due time." Leucadius added and picked up his pace.
The two men looked at each other before shrugging. They've not had any encounters with Humans to know anything about them so they just took it as their God had said.
Not long after, the three men came across a clear plain on a little hill and stopped. Looking down, they saw a small community…or estate for a lack of better words.
From the looks of things, the owner of said estate was definitely rich considering the amount of livestock they could see from their location. And that wasn't all, the farmlands covered the land for as far as the eyes could see.
"I see he's doing well for himself." Leucadius thought out loud before shaking his head and turned around to leave when he heard the sound of someone running towards them.
"My Lords! If I've found favor in your sights, do not pass this servant of yours by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant."
Leucadius smiled even more brightly at the sight of the man while the other two Angels following him watched on in confusion.
"Very well," he answered, "do as you say."
So the man ran back to his house at a speed unbefitting for someone his age.
"My Lord, is that..?"
"Hmm. He's that servant of mine." Leucadius nodded and followed the man with the angels accompanying him.
…
And so he hurried into his tent and said to his wife. "Quick, get three seahs of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread."
Then he ran to the herd and selected a nice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. He then brought some curds(cheese) and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them.
Leucadius and his angels happily accepted the snacks presented before them, and although the cheese wasn't all that tasty, it was still pleasant in the tongue when accompanied with the milk.
Moments later, the preparations were completed and a nice buffet of food was laid before the three men. While they ate, the man stood near them under the tree.
"Where is your wife Sarah?" Leucadius suddenly remembered something and asked him.
"There, in the tent," the man said.
"I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son."
Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. Menopause as they would call it.
'Heh. Then this will be called…Menoplay!' Leucadius thought jokingly to himself as he cast a minor spell on the unsuspecting Sarah.
Her womb was theoretically dried up, so all he needed to do was water it down a little while strengthening it to be able to hold a child.
Sarah however, laughed to herself as she thought, "After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?"
Leucadius involuntarily heard this as a prayer. He knew he had a spiritual connection to Humans but said connection was getting thinner and thinner as they multiplied.
Sarah's thought, although a form of ridicule to herself and him, was also a form of prayer.
Then Leucadius said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Will I really have a child, now that I am old?' Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son."
Listening to Leucadius' decree, Sarah became afraid, so she lied and said, "I did not laugh."
But Leucadius smiled and said, "Yes, you did laugh."
…
When they got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them off on their way. Then Leucadius after giving it much thought decided not to hide his agenda from Abraham.
There was no harm in telling him, after all, He would be the father of nations and millennia later, his name would still be remembered, and so Leucadius told him of his plans.
"Will you sweep both the righteous with the Wicked my Lord?" Abraham asked. He'd already understood that he was speaking with his God so despite feeling afraid, he still asked.
"The outcry against that place is so great that I had to personally come down. So tell me…what do you think?" Leucadius asked back.
"Far be it from you to do such a thing - to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the Earth do right?"
'Eh…?' Leucadius thought. 'Did I fuck up by telling him this? He's now doing an emotional play.'
Sighing internally, he said, "If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake."
Of course Leucadius knew there was no one righteous in the place, but words and actions leave lasting effects so he couldn't act out carelessly without taking Abraham's point of view into consideration.
"Then how about forty-five?" Abraham asked
"I'll spare them."
"Then forty…?"
"...I'll spare them."
"Then…Thirty…?"
"..."
"Ten?"
"..."
"One?"
"Don't push it." Leucadius finally couldn't handle the man's shamelessness.
'How could he bargain with God? The Audacity!' The two Angels thought in disbelief but when they looked at Leucadius, they found him smiling. It was as if his words and actions were two different things.
"Fear not. If there really was a righteous person Within that place, I wouldn't have come down personally. I need that place thoroughly destroyed." Leucadius said as his expression turned serious.
There was something he didn't tell Abraham though. The level of Sin and Evil aura gathered in that place wasn't something that could happen just because.
There surely was an external factor. Either a rogue Sorcerer was trying to use the place for some form of ritual or some minor foolish gods decided to mess around like in the time before the Flood.
Anyways, Leucadius didn't plan on letting anything survive his anger. However… "I am aware that your cousin Lot, and his family live there. They will be safely escorted out before I let loose on them."
