CHAPTER 16: MONSTERS VS HUNTERS

[Gangbuk-gu ]

The hunters arrived at the destination and saw an array of different monsters.

"Come on guys this is the moment of truth"

Baek said to them.

This seems interesting, the monsters here are high level but not on the level of the hydra.

Kyo thought.

'Kyo what's on your mind?'

Tekashi asked looking at his teammates face.

<Well nothing, just thought they're weaker than the Hydra>

Kyo replied in a happy manner.

Charge!!!

The hunters went at the monsters all enhancing their abilities with qi.

[EARTH TECHNIQUE: STONE PRISON]

Baek used his technique and surrounded himself, Kyo and Rin with a great number of dungeon beasts.

"If we don't take care of these ones we won't have a freehand to go after the dungeon boss"

Baek said to the other two.

[FIRE TECHNIQUE: FISTS OF HELLFIRE FLAME]

Kyo covered his fists in flames and enhanced his speed with both his qi and fire and blitzed twenty monsters in the blink of an eye.

[LIGHT TECHNIQUE: LIGHT SABER]

Rin summoned his sword of light and ran towards the hoarde of monsters killing most of them instantly.

Khaack!!!

Screamed a monster as he was thrown upwards by Baek's Earth manipulation and Kyo ran at the monsters in the sky and burned them to ashes.

Growl!!!

Roared the wolfmen and they attacked the trio but their intentions were sensed by Baek.

Kyo looked determined to end this immediately and get into the dungeon to end the dungeon boss.

<Let's get this over with please>

Kyo said to the other two.

<Baek, you and Rin should get out of here, what I'm about to do is gonna be dangerous if guys are still in this stone prison>

[FIRE TECHNIQUE: PURGATORY]

Kyo burned everything in the area within the stone prison and eradicated them to ash.

'He became stronger after facing a mythical beast'

'Him being this strong at this level means he's at S-rank level or at least a high level A-rank'

Baek thought.

The three of them walked into the dungeon.

[TIME TECHNIQUE: TIME STOP]

Time around the area stopped and Tekashi looked satisfied.

'Oi, you guys can take care of them, I'm going into the dungeon'

Tekashi said in a disappointed manner.

He walked towards the gate leisurely, shaking his head in disappointment as the other hunters were struggling with killing the beasts he had rendered immobile.

' I'll leave you here with them Ino, just take care of things here'

He said so and walked into the dungeon.

Kyo looked around as the three of them walked into the dungeon.

Growl!!!

A beast appeared and then attacked.

[FIRE TECHNIQUE: FIRE FIST]

Kyo sent out a fist of fire towards the lone attacker and burned it to ashes.

"Someone's coming"

Baek sensed someone else's movements behind them and the three of them made a formation of backs close to each other.

'Come on it's just me'

Tekashi stepped out of the shadows and smiled at the teamwork they showed.

<Oh it's just you>

Kyo looked relieved at the sight of Tekashi.

'What do you think the boss is?'

<I don't know but I've been sensing an ominous aura ever since we got in here>

"Which means it might be on the level of the emergency dungeon we faced the first time"

Baek chipped in this thought of his as if trying to figure something out.

The four of them continued walking in deeper.

The inner part of the dungeon looked like a cave.

Drip...drip!

Water dropped from the top of the moist and humid cave.

The four of them started feeling the ominous aura.

It might be something on the level or something stronger than the Hydra.

GROWL!!!

A giant golden lion walked majestically out of one of the caves.

"The Nemean Lion"

Baek recognized the beast instantly.

[You're the one whom Lord Leviathan wants dead aren't you?]

The Lion recognized Kyo just from his pendant.

<Why do you all keep saying that?>

<Why does he want me dead?>

Kyo looked at the Lion perplexed.

[Whatever you say doesn't matter to me, I shall bring your head to my king]

The Lion answered proudly.

The four of them readied themselves for battle.

"It can't be hurt by physical attacks"

Baek stated.

<Which means only Tekashi and I can kill it>

Kyo looked at Tekashi who nodded and stepped forward.

<Go out and take care of the remaining beasts>

Baek and Rin ran out on hearing Kyo's words.

The sword once again had to tear the fabric of reality to appear in Kyo's hands once again.

Tekashi smiled seeing as Kyo could now summon the weapon at will and could use it in battles such as this.

[So that fool betrayed our Lord]

[He'll pay for letting you usse his sword, He might be strong but at this point in time his power has been sealed, he can only use 10% of it at the moment]

'Are they talking about the one who possessed Kyo?'

Tekashi said in his thoughts.

'If it's just 10% then how was he that strong?'

'Azazel?!, Now I know where I've heard the name before, he's a fallen angel and has power equal to or greater than that of normal angels'

The S-rank hunter concluded on this thought and looked at the Lion with keen eyes.

Kyo heard Azazel's voice in his head.

Tekashi looked at the Lion who smiled at him and then looked at Kyo.

'That sword continually erases everything around it and you're still holding it right now, so let's get this over with and then you can think about what he said'

Kyo nodded in affirmation and looked at the Lion with determined eyes and mixed thoughts.
