Omnific Tesseract

------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ In the enigmatic realm of Alvard, the age-old art of Daemon summoning has always held a sacred and formidable allure. Daemons, mystical beings of diverse forms - humanoids, beasts, and even objects - are called upon to serve as guardians, defending cities and forming unbreakable bonds with their chosen hosts known as Ewers. Each battle strengthens this connection, forging them into an unyielding force. Amidst this mystical tapestry, a young and gifted Ewer named Cain harbors an insatiable ambition. His dreams reach for the pinnacle of Daemon mastery, the title of "The Dunatos," reserved for Alvard's mightiest summoners. One fateful night, destiny leads him down a shadowy alley where he encounters an enigmatic and injured woman. She entrusts him with a cryptic artifact: the Omnific Tesseract. As its ethereal glow bathes him, a newfound surge of power courses through his veins. The cube's secrets unveil a hitherto unknown realm of Daemon summoning - one that empowers him to command a legion of Daemons, melding them into unholy unions, and granting birth to formidable hybrid Daemons in their ultimate forms. Guided by Eve, an enigmatic A.I. entity dwelling within the Omnific Tesseract, Cain embarks on a journey to claim the coveted mantle of the mightiest Ewer in all of Alvard. Together, they assemble an awe-inspiring army of Daemons, each more awe-inspiring and terrifying than the last. With flames that scorch the heavens and ice that freezes souls, with shadows that conceal the darkest of secrets and light that unveils the truth, they heed his beck and call, bound by the mystical power of the Tesseract. Yet, as Cain treads this uncharted path, a haunting question lingers in the depths of his soul: What other enigmatic secrets lie dormant within this mystical artifact, waiting to be unearthed in the shadowy corners of his impending adventure? ----------------------------------------- My very first book. Mad Cocktrice

After Cain was sucked in by the vortex...

He felt like he was being pulled through different dimensions...

Unable to figure out his balance, Cain was tossed around like a ragdoll, drifting to god knows where...

Multiple colors flew past Cain as if he was in a space tunnel... which he was.

THUD

After what felt like a century, Cain was finally thrown out from the opening vortex as he landed head-first on the ground.

(Author: I know what you might expect him to land on, but sorry it didn't)...

Cain stood up gently, with his hands and legs swinging out of control as he tried to regain his lost balance.

After regaining it, he lifted his head and was stunned. He was completely speechless and left his mouth open in awe at what he saw.

He saw five suns right above him, with light so gentle that its essence filled his body with strength just by staying under it.

Colorful emerald tall trees with vibrant green leaves surrounded him, and the air was so refreshing that it seemed to have never been contaminated before, filling his lungs with insanely purified air.

Different species of trees and grasses filled with a strong amount of life essence all around.

'Wooooooow,' he muttered under his breath.

He had appeared in a beautiful world with pretty glowing colors everywhere...

But...

*Blech*

"Eve, what was that?" Cain asked, with a puke coming from his mouth...

[Dimensional Travel] …

"Why was it so t...terrible?" he asked as he continued puking...

*Blech*

He was not able to savor his experiences about the place as he wasn't over the effect of dimensional travel yet.

[Due to this being the first time the Host felt the effect of the dimension travel]

[The Host can recover in a few minutes]

"You should have told me beforehand… so I could have prepared myself properly," said Cain as he sat in a lotus position to rest and nullify the effect…

[Correction Taken]…

[Hidden Quest]: Entering the Astral Plane for the first time

[One-Time Rewards]: Stealth

[Astral plane daytime is equivalent to an hour in real-time]

[00:03:15]…

After recovering, Cain finally took a look at his surroundings...

He was in a forest filled with vitality, with jade-like glowing trees, plants, and weird-looking glowing worms and insects...

'Weird... why will a tree be glowing like that?' he thought as he approached it.

'Hmmmm.... weird...' he said as he continued to other trees to inspect them...

[Species]: Ambient Noble Tree

[An old tree that has lived for a hundred years, constantly absorbing the Quintet Sun essences, will eventually awaken its consciousness]

"Woooow, it will also awaken its consciousness soon," Cain said as he gently touched its jade-like surface.

He did this to other trees and plants and some glowing-looking worms and insects.

[00:37:05]

30 minutes later, Cain became bored.

Cain continued moving aimlessly, and after a while, he asked frustratedly, "Why am I not seeing any Daemon?"

[The Host is in stealth mode]

"Deactivate it."

'No wonder I wasn't seeing anything' Cain scratched his head in thought.

[Warning]

[Eve recommends leaving it on since the Host isn't strong enough yet]

"But if it's left on, how would I know where I could see the Daemons?"

"Turn it off."

[Stealth mode turned off]

….

"You see, you were just worried for nothing," Cain said as he continued walking.

ROAR

GRRRRRRRR

ROARRRRRRRR

Two minutes after Cain deactivated the stealth, different roars and cries of different Daemons reverberated around him…

"What was that?" Cain asked frightened as he nervously turned his head around him and went into a fighting stance…

[The Host's soul force is attracting the Daemons to him]

[Daemons are attracted to the soul force the Host emits when not in stealth mode]

[Only through eating the Host's soul can these Daemons in the Astral plane surpass their limits]

[In short, the Host is delicious to them]

"You !!!!!!!!....why didn't you tell me?"

"Now i am wanted like a lump of raw meat in front of these starving Daemons," Cain said in anger as he tightened his fist, ready for a life-and-death fight.

[I just did]

[I strongly recommend the Host to start running immediately]

Not long after their conversation, thumps and gallop noises were approaching in his direction…

Cain took to his heels and ran with all his might.

Before he knew it, he suddenly lost consciousness….

…..

In a messy dark room, Cain suddenly opened his eyes and sat up. He panted heavily, and fear could still be seen in his eyes. His red hair and clothes were drenched in cold sweat.

Moments later, Cain recovered his senses. His eyes looked at his familiar environment with some confusion.

'How did it get this messy?'

And did he just die without knowing what killed him?

He had just experienced the feeling of death without knowing because of his weakness.

His last memories were of his chest being cut open by something sharp.

Like it forcefully tore his chest open from behind.

As for who the culprit was, he didn't see it all.

'Who would dare kill me from behind?' he mentally thought in anger.

[DNA scanned]

[Host was killed by Mad Cocktrice]

[Mad Cocktrice]

[This Daemon chicken has a pecking disorder and will peck anything and everything that it sees]

"Chi…chicken"

" I was killed by a f**king CHICKEN"

Now Cain was very angry…

[Does Host want to set the Daemon as his archenemy]

"Yes," he said with unquenchable rage.

[Host has set his very first archenemy]

[Mad Cocktrice]

[Quest]: Kill the Mad Cocktrice

[Rewards]: 2 hours of revival time

[Punishment]: None

"There is even a reward for killing you."

"Just don't let me find you, chicken," Cain said with a delighted grin as his mind drifted towards him eating a fried chicken Daemon…

But after saying to his heart's content, he fainted...

The pain of his death in the Astral Plane was only subdued by his raging anger, but once he cooled off, the pain shot back up, resulting in him fainting.
