Sprinting down the street parked with cars at full speed were two men as one chased and the other ran.

The man in front was a bit chubby with non memorable features except for his shortness and was wearing a pair of old white sneakers, red sweat pants with a puffer jacket, while out of breath despite running for a full two minutes, while the tall and well-built man behind him who was Sun-Jae also wore a pair white sneakers that were new, black jeans and a dark navy jersey that was flapping in the wind as it was unbuttoned, was not as tired as he controlled his breathing.

Sun-Jae was closing the gap between them as he ran fast, eventually almost in grasp of the slightly chubby man who turned and noticed him right behind.

The man decided to quickly turn right into the alleyway, confusing Sun-Jae as he watched the man slip out of his grasp and then give chase again.

The man took a quick peak backwards at Sun-Jae as he went to the left corner that had the sound of traffic coming from it.

Sun-Jae who was almost there, recalled an unpleasant experience as he slowed down his pace unnoticed as he arrived near the corner, stomped his foot loudly while running at a slower pace this time to make it seem like he was about to turn the corner but jumped backwards in time to miss the hunter knife about slash open his abdomen.

The man who had run into the alleyway on purpose to lay a failed ambush around the corner, slowly walked out towards Sun-Jae while chuckling to himself.

"Hey, have you fallen for that before? You seem experienced." The man said as he got no reply from Sun-Jae who had in fact fallen for that trick and got stabbed deeply with the attack, thankfully missing any vital organs.

The man who did not run any more, walked into the open space in the alley and took an experienced fighting stance with his legs spread at shoulder distance, knees slightly bent down and one open hand faced was out to Sun-Jae while the other hand had the sharp hunting knife.

Sun-Jae reached for the back of his jeans and felt nothing but his handcuffs as he remembered his police issued revolver that he left at the station.

"No gun? F**k, you're a rookie." The man teased.

Sun-Jae went silent and took the exact same stance but both his hands were open and faced the man who stopped smiling as he carefully observed Sun-Jae who was doing the same stance.

Despite no knife, the man did not underestimate Sun-Jae one bit especially with the all a sudden change to a calm expression on his face that had no emotion down to the point that it was unsettling.

"Creepy f**king bastard like you is a cop? What a load of crap." He said with a scoff in between.

The first five seconds were silent except for cars driving by as people were focused on their lives, oblivious to the fight that had already started as the man sent out an abdomen slash to Sun-Jae who dodged it by leaping backwards.

The man took two light steps forward and sent a diagonal slash again at Sun-Jae who sidestepped to the left and sent a tight slap at the man's cheek as he stumbled.

He rubbed his cheek and felt anger build up in his chest as he undid his fighting stance and started charging wildly with frequent missing stabs, diagonal and horizontal slashes at Sun-Jae who dodged them all in calm, focus and quick movements.

Sun-Jae had let out five slaps in between the barrages of attacks he received and dodged, making the one side of the man's face extremely red.

He dodged another stab with a side step and grabbed the man's arm and twisted it while slapping him twice on the face.

The man dropped the knife on the floor and staggered backwards as he felt himself two strong hands grip his arm before being flung over Sun-Jae's shoulder onto the hard and cold ground.

He then felt himself being turned over as his hands were put together with and restrained with handcuffs.

"You're under arrest. Anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law." Sun-jae said while out breath while kneeling on top of the man.

"Sun-jae!" Kang In-Hyuk called out as he got out of the car with Oh Nam-Jun tied in the backseat.

Sun-Jae regained his usual demeanour and smiled as he stood up and picked up the man he arrested, walking him to the car.
