Chapter-1 The Interview

Planet Astra, Orion City, 3020 A.D.

Deep in the forest of concrete buildings, Mavericks Entertainment, 30th floor, conference room.

"So Miss Adriana Blaze, Why should we select you?"

Faced with this familiar question on her interview today, Riana wanted to scoff 'For Pete's sake It's 31 st century but this one question never changes!'

But outwardly,she smiled as she looked at the four examiners she had to face to get hold of this job .There were four interviewers, three male and one female ,all in their formal clothing. Initially, she was slightly sceptical when she heard people of high positions were going to be incharge of the interview. Of course, who wouldn't find it overwhelming? Along with the head of Human Resources Department and Administrative chief, why would Mr. Simons , the Vice President of the company be presiding over an interview for a mere Assistant job?

What about you, company's gold rated Agent Mrs. Eliza? Shouldn't you be busy managing your artist ?

She tried to sound confident as she faced Mr. Rowell, head of the Human Resources Department," Because I'm confident of my skills and my qualifications. Although I've less experience compared to my peers, I will definitely work hard and be worthy of our company's name",she rambled whatever came into her mind.

She answered few other questions successfully and side eyed the Vice President who seemed to be debating whether to consider her not.

Mrs. Eliza who was silent all the time suddenly asked a question " Miss.Blaze , If your artist ever steps out of their bounds and gets into a scandal , what would your duty as an assistant be? how will you handle it?"

"Hahhh ", Riana let out a huge sigh looking at her reflection in the bathroom's mirror. She was here, in the Mavericks Entertainment Building to interview for the position of an assistant . She had put on a black formal suit and skirt for today's interview and her blonde hair in a ponytail, she managed to looked like a regular office worker. Her deep onyx coloured pupils stared right back at her through the mirror.

She smiled as she recalled how that vice president guy, Simons extended his hand and said, "Congratulations Miss Blaze! Welcome to the Mavericks Entertainment!" and she had to act elated and surprised.

That was a given!

Compared to those many crazy things since had gone her childhood, this was a piece of cake. But if she failed to get this job, that guy Rick would start nagging and roast her brain for two whole days. Luckily she managed to muddle through the interview and snatch a position.
