Social Debut I

"Yustaf?" I called his name, seeing him lean on the side of the door.

"I wanted to see how you were doing," he said as he stood up properly.

"Do you want to accompany me?"

"That's if you don't mind."

On the way to the gardens, not a single word was exchanged between us. It didn't make me feel in a weird position. I was somewhat comfortable around him. And he was patient with every step I took. I found it quite adorable.

"I have to apologize for that day," Yustaf scoffed.

"For what?" I asked as I recalled the expression he wore that day.

"I thought I had hurt your feelings. I thought I had my expression controlled, but Master Kaeden told me about it," explained Yustaf. "I didn't know why I did that."

"It's alright," I assured and walked towards the mini-lake. "To be honest. I thought you hated me for that."

Yustaf walked to my side and pursed his lip. His adam apple bobbed down and up, looking flustered.
