She buried her head in the pillow.
Edison Lynch sighed helplessly, "Not even Hannah's call?"
"Not..." Emily Lynch suddenly sat up, snatching the phone from Edison's hands.
Her fingers trembled as they slid across the screen, struggling several times before finally connecting, "Hannah... Hannah..."
Hearing the familiar voice on the other end, Emily's tears turned to laughter as she clutched her phone and ran to the balcony.
The call lasted nearly twenty minutes before she came back in from the balcony.
Her previously despondent mood had completely changed; she was now as sweet as if soaked in honey, the smile on her lips unable to cease.
Edison, unable to curb his curiosity, leaned in and asked, "What did Hannah just say to you?"
Emily hugged her phone, taking a few seconds to register before looking at her brother warily, "Nothing much."
