The Birthday Party

In a flash, it was Charles Knight's 80th birthday, a big birthday party was arranged at the Knight's castle. A lot of Big shots and important people were invited to this party. Charles Knight was the most influential and the most respected person in this whole city. Even after all these years, his reputation was still as impressive as before. Nowadays, the retired old man stays home most of the time, accompanies his beloved wife, and lives a happy life.

Beijing Tiantan Hospital

Liam walked into Ava's office wearing a black fitted suit and said with a smile, "Doctor Green, it's been so long I haven't seen you. How are you doing?"

Ava looked up and put down her pen. It was almost time to leave work. She wondered why Liam was here at this hour. Whenever he appeared for some reason Ava would smell a conspiracy, like he was here to cause trouble again. Although she was very grateful to him because without his help she wouldn't be able to make Oliver stop pestering her. However, she still felt uncomfortable whenever she saw him.

"What are you doing here, Liam?" Ava asked slowly.

"I missed you so came to see you. Let's have dinner together tonight." Liam sat down elegantly and said with a ruffian smile.

"Sorry, can't do. I have class tonight." Ava declined immediately, she had no interest to spend any time with Liam unless she really has to.

"Ava, how could you refuse me so coldly?" Liam said wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

Ava's face turned black she said annoyed, "Liam, if you have something to say, just say it. Don't need to beat around the bush."

Liam laughed loudly then said, "Wow Ava, you know me so well."

Ava didn't say anything just stared at him with a distasteful look.

"Well, I need to go to an old man's birthday party in the evening. I need a female companion and you are going to accompany me." Liam said with a meaningful smile. He didn't make any request he just informed her.

"Why do you want me to accompany you, don't you have any other female companion? I am sorry but find someone else, I'm not going anywhere with you." Ava didn't even think about it, she simply refused. Ava didn't like to attend parties let alone an upper-class party. She always felt out of place at such kinds of parties.

"No, I don't. All the women around me are ugly you are the only one who is beautiful enough to accompany me. So please come with me." Liam said flirting with Ava. He wanted her to agree to him without any condition but if she didn't then he will use the trump card, he has been holding for this party.

"I am sorry Liam but I can't go." Ava rolled her eyes and ignored Liam's flirting.

"Dr. Green I don't think you actually have any option but to accompany me. I hope you didn't forget that you owe me a favor. And that's the favor I need, I want you to accompany me to the party." Liam said seriously, he didn't want to use his precious favor but seeing Ava's firmness he had no other choice but to use it. He knew Ava wouldn't refuse to that.

Ava looked at him speechlessly, he was using the favor for a party? What is so special about this party? But he was right that she didn't have any choice when it comes to the favor so after hesitating for a while she finally agreed. In fact, if she just has to attend a party in exchange for the favor she owed, then it's an easy out for her.

"Fine."

Liam smiled, but the smile looked very mysterious. Tonight, it's going to be a good show at the party, he was looking forward to it. Liam took Ava to a high-end fashion and modeling house and got her a makeover. Then they got into Liam's long Lincoln.

Sitting in the car, Ava looked out of the window, she was feeling very uncomfortable in her heart. She was wearing a Lavender dress engraved with diamonds which hugged her body tightly showing her curves perfectly. The low-cut chest design of the dress showed off her cleavage, making her look very sexy. Ava didn't like to wear this kind of dress, it's too inviting and she felt it didn't go with her style. But Liam insisted so she had no other choice. Even if she was uncomfortable, it's only for tonight so she will bear with it.

When Ava's makeover was done and she came out, Liam was awed by her look. This woman was really something, she had a face of an angel and the body of a devil. She will be undoubtedly the most beautiful woman at the whole party tonight.

"Are you nervous?" Liam saw Ava was fidgeting with her fingers which was a sign of nervousness, he asked with a soft smile.

"A little," Ava said honestly. She looked at Liam who was sitting next to her. Tonight, he was wearing a white suit and a wine-red bow tie. He looked like a prince. Liam seems to be born with his own aura. Although he had a bit of an evil spirit but he was still very handsome.

"Don't be nervous. It's a normal birthday party." Liam said with a warm smile, trying to comfort her. He thought she was already this nervous, what will happen when she comes face to face with Oliver at the party tonight.

Lincoln shuttled through the boundless night and finally entered the gate of the castle. The gate was a long way from the castle and there were beautiful gardens decorated with fairy lights at the two sides of the driveway. They could see the bright castle from far away, it looked beautiful and enchanted. They steadily stopped in front of the European-style castle. It's was even more astonishing from close. Like the gardens, the whole castle was also decorated with fairy lights and glowing balloons. It gave away a festive and comfortable feeling.
