Chapter 20

Ajax, Ember, and Amelia were getting out of the bakery to go when Ember stopped midway.

"What happened? " Asked Amelia.

"We can't leave Xander alone. I will stay with him. You two go and come back with the antidote quickly, okay?" Said Ember.

Ajax and Amelia nodded and headed towards the inn which was fifteen minutes road on a walk.

While walking both Ajax and Amelia were talking to themselves and thinking about each other.

Ajax talking to himself,

"Why does this had to happen. I hope Xander is okay. I must find that antidote at any cost. But this girl, why did she had to do that? We just met each other yesterday. And had a fight, and then she tried to use the silencing powder on me but it turned out to be silent death powder plus that cake was eaten by my brother. Ridiculous!! But it was my mistake to start a fight between me and her and that was the reason for her to do this mistake. I really should control my anger. I should apologize to her"

Amelia was also talking to herself,

"Amelia you idiot. You created a big mess today. If this mess is not cleaned then go and hang yourself to the branch of a tree. But that branch will break due to my weight, isn't it? Ahh... Focus Amelia, focus. Actually Ajax was right. I should stop my habit of interfering in others matter. It was my fault still I intended to teach him something. What an idiot. I just met him yesterday and was acting like we have been friends for years. I better find the antidote or else I don't know how I am going to face myself. But first an apology is much needed.

"Sorry, it was my fault," Both Ajax and Amelia said at the same moment.

Both of them looked at each other and then at the ground and smiled to themselves and walked ahead. No words were needed to say that they are forgiven.

They entered the inn and Amelia rushed to the cabin where a old, skinny lady with long grey hair tied in a bun with specs on was writing something on her big, old register.

Amelia and Ajax stood in front of the desk and Amelia was furious as she was deceived by an old lady.

"You.... You have given me the wrong powder. How could you!! You know how dangerous silent death is. Then how can you give me that powder. I had clearly explained that it is just a prank for a friend. " Said Amelia a little loudly.

" Silent death powder.... Little girl, I know what you asked for was the silencing powder and I gave that powder to you. Then how come it was exchanged? "Asked the old lady.

" I don't know. But these things will be discussed later. Give me the antidote to silent death"said Amelia.

"I don't have that. Sorry. It was my brother who bought all that kinds of powder. He must know something. Wait, a second. " Said the old lady and called her brother.Her tall brother , old man with his hair a mix of grey and black came and gave a bright smile to Amelia and Ajax.

"Yes, how may I help them, sister? " Asked the old man.

"James, there friend took the silent death powder. And they need antidote quickly. Can you help them? " Asked the old lady.

"Umm.. See I brought that powder for medicinal use. Because if those powders are used in less quantity they are very helpful in helping wounds and burns. But that powder and antidote is used by the notorious gang named 'Lionfish'. They are the ones who use the silent death powder mainly. So they always have the antidote with them. I also happened to meet on of there member who was injured and helped him and in return he gave me that powder" Said James.

"Where can we find them? " Asked Amelia.

"That's difficult. The lionfish team never shows themselves with out purpose. They don't have a base nor anyone knows where they can be found. They just appear out of a sudden when the thing of there interest appears. " Said James.

"What to do now? " Asked Amelia while looking towards Ajax who was thinking deeply about something.

"Do you know how we can lure them out? " Asked Ajax.

Before James can say anything further, a voice came from outside.

"Bring a noble family, spread the news about the wealth they posses, the lionfish gang will get out from there hole. " Said a boy with blue-grey eyes, long hair tied in a male bun and he had a white owl with dark black eyes.

"Who are you? What is your relationship with the Lionfish gang? " Asked Amelia.

"I just heard your conversation and thought I can help you to deal with Lionfish gang. I just know about them, no relationship with them. My name is Cole Smith. But you can just call me Cole" Said the boy.

"Amelia Dukas. Nice to meet you. Now you said that we need to spread about a wealthy family. How can you do that? " Asked Amelia.

"Why? I am seeing a noble couple ready to put the bait for the fishes" Said Cole.

Ajax and Amelia looked at each other confused and then towards Cole.

"Who? What do you mean by this? " Asked Ajax with a quizzical face.

"You two. Am I wrong? You two can be a couple, right? " Asked Cole while signalling his owl to go and the owl flew away.

"Who? Me and her? That.... that's not gona work... Who would tell... tell that we are a couple.... Tell something else" Said Ajax while his face was getting hotter.

"Yes, we won't be able to act up like a couple... Why don't you do it... Get some random girl...and act up" Said Amelia

"I am a stranger to you . I should not meddle in your task but someone's life is at stake so I am helping plus we don't have much time as the one who took that powder has time till next sunrise only. So stop with your weird behavior and get to work. Does it sound good to you? "Asked Cole with a straight face.

" Yes" said Amelia and Ajax slowly while looking down trying to hide the blush on their faces.

"Hmm.... That's settled then. Go get some expensive dress and costumes while I spread the news about a noble family came from far with an aim to spread there business of gold. " Said Cole with a small smile.

"But? Why are you helping us? We don't know you? You don't know us? " Asked Ajax.

"You.... " Said Cole while pointing at him while raising his eyebrows.

"My name is Ajax Kellis. It's my brother who took that powder. Can you tell me what do you want in return for your help? " Asked Ajax polietly.

"I was not expecting anything in return but now you said I may want something. But that work can be done later. Now come on get dressed up, rumours also take time to spread but your brother can't wait more. " Said Cole while tapping Ajax's back.

Ajax and Amelia rushed to a tailor's shop and got some rich fancy dresses for themselves. Ajax liked simple clothing like a T-shirt with pants or a plain shirt. Same was for Amelia. She was a princess but still she prefers to wear a simple dress.Ajax wore shiny silk shirt with a fancy jacket and with a tie around his neck. Amelia wore a heavy gown with a bun hairstyle. Both of them were irritated by the dress that they were forced to wear in that situation.

"Ready guys..... Woah!! Look at you two. I could hardly recognise you. You two actually look very good in this. " Said Cole while showing his thumbs up.

"Let's finish this drama quickly. I can hardly breath. Also we are racing against time" Said Ajax. Amelia also agreed while Cole laughed a bit.

"Okay, now let's get checked in a famous inn. But the payment is on me. Don't worry on that. Just show as much lavishness as you can there without hesitation. " Said Cole.

Ajax and Amelia looked at each other and were about to say something when Cole interrupted them.

"Don't worry. If any money is spend during our mission to capture the lionfish team I will take care of it. Now let's go quick. " Said Cole.

All of them hurried to go to the famous inn of the Celadon City - The Golden house. The golden house was a place famous for having rooms for rich and noble people. But in the dark it also carried out illegal activities and were helped by different gangs. One of the gang was the Lionfish gang. Lion represents strength while fish represents stealth. The team famous for their strength and stealth combination so they named it Lionfish gang. It represents an animal so they made it as a symbol and also there team name.

Ajax and Amelia showed that they can afford any luxurious room so that they can steal the attention. Plus Cole talked about how lavish and rich the couple was. Everyone was in awe and some jealous and this knowledge was spreading like a fire and no minutes the arrival of the noble couple was spread in the whole inn. They made every possible way to spread the news. It was night time. But still there was no news of the lionfish gang. Ajax was very worried and was pacing to and fro in his hotel room. Amelia was sitting on the bed while clutching her gown tightly as she was worried for Xander. Cole booked another room for himself as he addressed himself as Ajax's big brother. Suddenly Ajax saw a shadow in front of the window. Ajax signalled to Amelia and they both were ready to attack that shadow. But they were unknown of who was behind the window and what was coming for them ahead.....
