Rivers of Red

A long black limo with tinted windows pulled up to the holding facility. Armed guards in flak jackets and motorcycle type helmets were stationed in front of an obscenely large gate. One of the nodded and made a hand motion which gave the orders to open the gate up. Creaking loudly the gate finally open and the doors began to pull apart as the limo jutted passed.

Ms. Mayhew was a little irate that she had to be the one sent for this easy pickup mission. " Could have just sent in some couriers or guards " she thought to herself as she walked the corridors. More guards stationed inside greeted her as their superior as she walked passed them. Down one hallway a young girl's voice could be heard screaming at someone.

Heels clicked down the hallway and came to the door where the girl was held. " We have gone through a lot of trouble to get you , you know. " Ms. Mayhew snarled through her teeth at the girl in the cell. It had some lighting . A comfortable bed. Even toys and a television for some entertainment.

The girl stepped back as far as she could until she felt the wall closing in behind her. " I want my family! " she screamed. Than the little girl just clumped to the floor realizing her screams wouldn't help her here anyway. " why did you take me ? " she asked looking Ms Mayhew in the face through the cell wires.

Ms Mayhew stood for a moment thinking . " you are our family now and you belong with us. " multiple guards were milling about in the facility keeping track of everything they were ordered to. " You were taken because you belong with us . You just don't understand it yet . You will learn in time." Long black nails trailed along the cell wires as Ms Mayhew had an aggressive look about her .

" You are all bad people!" The girl stated . " I don't want to be here . Can't you see you have made a bad choice? " the girl kept going on now as if in an odd trace . " If you bring me back now nothing will happen to you. " she plainly said as she began stepping away from the wall . " take me to my mother right this moment and all will be well for you." The girl seemed to almost mature right at that moment with her mannerisms.

Ms. Mayhew was a little amused by this and grinned in a most frightening manner. " I am your mother now. " she said in an almost whisper reaching her hand at the cell wires. Claws now making a horrible screeching noise against the wires as slight sparks flew down to the ground. Now it was time for the little girl to grin back at Ms Mayhew. A sight that would confuse the woman and would stick with her. " Only for a very short time. " the girl matter of factly. " You have made your choice and you took the option that will not benefit you. "

At that moment as if by some horrific miracle an alarm buzzing sounded through the whole facility. Mayhew looked at a few guards standing around. " watch her now! Keep anything from her . I need to see what this is about . " She stormed away rushing down the corridors.

Guards were preparing weapons as a mass contingent stood in the main docking bay. Ms Mayhew grabbed a guard on the shoulder " What is going on " she hissed angrily. " intruder coming through. Someone slammed into the gate and somehow knocked it down with a black van. " Her eyes went blood cold and she froze for a moment. Mr Kain that bastard had sent her to her death . Maybe he had no clue about this , but just the same she did try and steal a kill from him even if it was a meaningless one.

Blood curdling screams were heard along with that big black van slamming into the warehouse doors knocking them into some of the guards. Gunshots echoed around the building as Tank blasted his way through the group of now crimson coated mercenaries. A sub machine in one hand and a giant blood dripping battle axe in the other.
