Chapter Four

Please Lex, do something. You made me get into the cage.

My heart was just beating fast. Suddenly, a child wailing was heard downstairs. Swiftly, she turned and the duvet slipped. I froze, staring at her back. The only thing that crossed my mind was 'what will I do if I transform in her front'.

"Is that Micheal?" She asked. Lex held her by the shoulders.

"Maybe you should go see for yourself". He walked her out of the room and shut the door behind her.

"Phew!" I heaved a sigh of relief.

"That was so close". I mumbled and looked at Lex. He walked to his bed and sat on it.

"You should be thanking me". He said.

I scoffed. "Thank you? I should be thanking that child that was wailing. She could have seen me. All you did was nothing".

"That was my bro–"

"I don't care". I cut him short. "Just let me out of here. I can't stay here anymore".

"So that we get to be your dinner when you are a wolf?"

"Hey. There is no way I will eat you guys. I don't eat humans, but even if I do, you will be the first because you are so annoying".

I could see it in his face that he was a bit scared.

Suddenly, I felt my body expanding, making my clothes to get ripped. My claws came out as my body was getting full with  white fur. My bones began to bend. Ears became longer and my tail grew at my bottom. I became a full wolf.

"Well, that was quick". I thought.

"Oh my freaking gosh". That was the only think that could come out of his mouth. His mouth gaped.

That was the first time he saw me transform. He wouldn't understand me even if I try to talk to him.

Suddenly, glass shattered on the floor. We both faced that direction. It was Micheal. We didn't even notice when he came in. Micheal eyes widened and his legs became wobbly and that was when I realized I was a wolf. He was so scared when he saw me. He ran to Lex and held his shirt— tightly.

"Lex, you need to go. She's gonna eat you".

"There's no way she's going to eat me. Remember, she's my pet. And also I tamed her". He looked at me and winked.

I rolled my eyes.

"It doesn't mean". He turned around. "I'm going to call mom".

Lex grabbed his wrist."Don't do that. I'm telling you, she's my pet. Mom knows that too. Just go to your room."

"Mom knows?" Micheal asked as Lex let go of his wrist.

"Yeah. So go, okay?"

"Okay". He nodded and left the room.

If Lex opens the cage, I'm gonna rip him apart. Tamed? Seriously?

I gritted my teeth and he turned to me.

"What?" He lied on his bed. "Don't give me that look and get to sleep".

     I woke up. It was morning and I was still in the cage. I was already in human form. I took the duvet and covered my body. I looked at the bed and noticed Lex wasn't on the bed.

Don't tell me left for school and left me in this cage? He is a jerk.

The door opened and someone walked in— Lex. He was dressed up and ready for school.

Oh yeah, I'm angry alright. He could have waken me up.

He smirked. "I  see you're so comfortable". He chuckled. "Won't you get ready for school? Oh wait...you're still in the cage".

Ugh...

"Just let me out of this cage, you dumbass". I yelled.

"Just chill and quit yelling. I'm gonna open it now.  Now be a good doggy".

"Do I look like a dog? I'm a wolf. A night wolf. Just let me out of here".

"Fine", he slipped his hand into his pocket and brought out a key.

He unlocked the lock and opened the cage. Without thinking, I bounced on Lex and we both fell on the floor— me on top of him with the duvet covering us.

Damn!

I froze.

My eyes widened.

I stared at his eyes, appalled.

His eyes flickered down  to mine, noticing my persistent stare. His eyes took on a darker shade, he didn't blink. I couldn't hear him breathe. Or maybe I was just too focused on stealing my fast heartbeat, which was so close to him. My body pressed against his hard body slightly. He stared down from my eyes to my lips and my breath stuck. It was like I was almost hypnotized. I was lost.

"Hey, doggy". Lex called and gulped.

"Yeah?" I replied, still in trance from his scent and proximity.

Suddenly, I felt a touch on my thigh. He squirmed because he was so uncomfortable. It then occurred to me I was naked on top of him. His eyes moved downward slowly.

"Hey!" I snapped. "Don't you dare look down". I pulled the duvet and wrapped it round my body. I stood up moving away from him.

"What? It's not like I haven't seen you naked before". He said as he stood up.

Well, that is true but it doesn't mean, right?

I held the duvet tightly so that it wouldn't fall.

"Jerk". I mumbled. My eyes fell on the floor. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at him.

He cleared his throat. "Just go dress up".

I nodded and rushed out of the room. I couldn't think clearly. That was so embarrassing. I was screaming on the inside. I ran into my bedroom which was opposite Michael's. I sat on my bed and closed my eyes. My cheeks flushed of embarrassment.

"Where were you?" A feminine voice asked and I opened my eyes. Michelle.

"Well, I was..." I stood up and my duvet slipped off.

Her eyes widened.

Still naked. Now things are going to get worse.

"You were in a guy's house?" She asked as she moved closer.

"Uh?" I raised an eyebrow.

"And you came back naked?"

I think I know where this is going to.

"I didn't–"

"Are you still..." she whispered. "A virgin?"

"Yes, I am". I snapped as I stood up.

"Are you sure? Do you feel sore?" She asked, twirling me around. It was kinda weird as she stared at me, naked.

" I don't feel sore. I did nothing. I need to go to school".

"Okay, fine...go get dressed and come down for your breakfast". She said as she walked to the door and opened it. She turned to me. "And be fast, okay?" U nodded and she smiled. "Good". She left and shut the door behind.

Lex and I walked into the school. This was my second day in school and there were many people. I was just smiling and Lex faced me.

"And remember..." he said. "I don't know you, okay?"

"Yeah", I nodded. It's best if we acted like strangers in school. I'm even embarrassed of him. He then left to God only knows where.

"Hey, Talia". A masculine voice called.

My heart jumped. I turned to the person and a sigh of relief escaped my lips. It was Theo.

"I thought you were Nathaniel". I smiled.

"So you remember me". Theo said.  He was holding a blue skateboard.

"I love your skateboard".

"Oh this?" He pointed at it and I nodded. "I can teach you if you wanna learn".

"Really?" I grinned. "I wanna learn it right now".

"Okay, if you say so". He placed the skateboard on the floor. "Come". He gestured and I came closer. "So put your right foot here and the other one here", he said and I did it.

"So...how am I going to move it?" I asked, facing Theo.

He didn't say anything and he smiled.

What does he wanna do?

Suddenly, he pushed the skateboard and it began to move so quickly. My heart jumped. I don't know how this thing works. I turned my head to Theo only to find him running towards me with a worried face. It moved faster and straight. There was a wall ahead and was heading straight to that wall. 

I'm about to hit the wall.

I screamed my lungs out and shut my eyes tightly.

"Talia!" Theo yelled. "Turn left".

Turn left? I don't even know how to stop this.

People were just staring and saying stuffs like 'OMG, she's about to hit the wall'. 'Oh if I post this video, I'm gonna have a lot of likes on Instagram'.

What the heck is Instagram?

Suddenly, I felt a hand on my waist. My savior pulled me off the skateboard and we both fell on the floor— me on top of the person. My eyes were still tightly closed.

People gasped suddenly. I opened my eyes to see my savior and I too also gasped.

"Hey", he grinned.

"Wh-wh-what?" I stuttered and stood up. "I thought you said you will hate me today, Nathaniel?" I adjusted my clothes.

"Yes", he stood up. "And please...call me Nate. Nathaniel sounds awful coming from  weirdos' mouths".

"Just–"

"You can't even say a 'thank you', Talia", he stressed and folded his arms.

"Talia!" Theo yelled and ran to me. "Are you okay?" He asked.

I nodded.

"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have allowed to skate".

"Oh...it's my fault, not yours".

He smiled. "Yeah". He looked at my something at my back and his smile dropped. "Oh my...my baby". He ran and I turned to that direction.

Was he referring to his skateboard?

I raised an eyebrow. He picked it and kissed it severally.

Okay, that's weird.

I turned around and sighted Lex. He was with his friends. He just did as if nothing happened.

"And yet, the bitch still can't say a 'thank you'". Nathaniel said to himself as he was looking down the floor.

"Excuse me?" I was so shocked by his words. "Stop calling me a bitch. Do I look like dog to you?"

I ain't a dog. Dog are fearful but wolves...we're strong and fearless.

"I didn't say you are–"

"Don't call me a bitch". I cut him short.

He scoffed, moving closer to me. He was way taller than me which made him to bend slightly. "Oh really? And what will you do if I called you that?" He folded his arms and raised an eyebrow.

Is he daring me?

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth. Everywhere was silent. They were all staring at us. And it seems there is going to be something more interesting to watch. "What are you gonna do, bitch?" A smirk was plastered on his face.

Immediately,  he spat blood out of his mouth. I had already punched him on his face so hard. He placed his hand on his face and stared at me with his eyes widely opened. He couldn't believe what just happened. He then fell on the floor.

That will teach him not to mess with a wolf.

I smirked and moved closer to him. "Sorry, does it hurts?" I scoffed. He couldn't say a word.

He exhaled. "Does it hurts? Not a little". He said and I frowned.

Am I weak?

"How come?" I mumbled.

Nate stood up firmly and wiped the blood at the corner of his lips with his palm. "Don't tell me you are only doing this to get my attention. Admit it, Talia, you are in love with me".

"Say that again and I'm going to hit you one more time.

"Whoa...I'm scared". He said in a scornful way. People then burst into laughter. "Bitch, there's no way you would–". Immediately, he sat blood and fell on the floor.

He never learns.
