An Explanation

Imani stepped out of the bathroom while adjusting the towel she had wrapped around her hair and came to a stop when she saw Lucas standing next to the bookshelf which contained the books Lola had packed for her when she moved to Wolfborn. Her cheeks instantly became hot because she had been thinking of him while she was in the shower and the thoughts were really wild.

He turned around, returning the book in his hand to the shelf, as she swallowed and let her hands fall to her sides. He slowly ran his eyes over her, wondering if she was wearing anything under the robe on her. He wanted her on the bed and under him right now but he wanted to tell her about Karl first.

"Hey," he said and her heart began to pound as she moved forward, stopping a few feet away from him.

"Hi," she replied in a small voice. She didn't know if the little boy and Ella were still downstairs because she hadn't gone downstairs yet so she asked, "Are they still in the living room?"
