I opened my mouth slightly, seeing the fountain of golds that lays in the ground. Other than that, there were other silver and gold things in the side. All sorts of words, trophies, utensils, and accessories.
'Why didnt he use these things to upgrade his company power more?' That leads me to think this. But then, there's a possibility that he might have use this treasuries once he will extend his company to the Wizarding World.
"You're this rich?" I blurted out as I still stare at it in awe. I suddenly had the urge to steal this things and then be set for life.
"I have always been," he nonchalantly said to me, disbelief that I didn't acknowledge his richness before.
"What are you gonna with this?" I asked interested. It might be a key to what will happen to the future that he doesn't know.
"Oh I don't know, I was just flexing it to you," mocked Arch while I just faintly smile sarcastically.
"And now then, what?" I asked not incurious of what will he do with it. Disappointedly, not one chance I will get some of it.
"Well then, let's go,"
As soon as he said that, I've gone out going to the waiting goblin at the cart. While Arch takes some few galons in his pocket then catching up.
We've gone back to the surface with the long ass puking ride we had in the cart. Who ever made that track, I want to say that we like simplicity, thank you.
Now with our money, I guess it's time for shopping.
"We're gonna meet up at the pub aight?" Arch said to me, which he told me he had places to go. He wasn't telling me anything so I made a guess it might be the start of his expansion, but then, not like I'm that interested into it.
I've already made up my mind. I won't work hard, but will work smart. I will try to make some movements in the future, where it can easily get him money.
But that's for later. There's still a year left.
Next one then, is Madam Malkin's Robe for All Occasion. I want to keep my excitement for Flourish and Botts. I would not buy the required robe but rather formal wears.
It would be good as I will stay here now in the Wizarding World, and wearing muggle clothes here, will make me more revealing.
Madam Malkin's shop is just directly one shop beside Gringotts and didn't took time to get there. Outside the shop, I could see the stand of different clothing that you can buy in the shop. I enetered the door and was greeted by the room with three person or so.
There were clothes displayed in the side, but it was useless as I know exactly what would I buy. But I first ignored that fact and explored more. My past life was just really useful for the knowledge I have and knowing future happenings. Because when it comes to experience, I dont really have that much.
I stared at the leather clothings and the obvious luxurious ones where rich families like Malfoys can buy it freely.
They were good hats, and some styles whom I find pretty fitting for me. After that then, I got up to the counter where a jolly Madam Malkin's greets me.
"Buying for your clothes young man? I'm sure we have one for you!" She said to me as I just displayed my poker face uninterested on her.
"Oh well then, I would like to have a pair of self-ironing and self-repairing robes, three of it. And if you can, add some white linings into the outline for the two robes. And also, a hood maybe for the other one. All black. Then two pairs of leather gloves and also lastly, two formal complete suits right there, "
I pointed at one of the stands, where a blue suit and silver suit stand. Both of them have the same design, those fancy things in the its tuxedo jacket, with the white riboon, and then the rest.
I looked back at Madam Malkin's, where she completely understood everything what I said. I nodded satisfied, they do good in their job. Thumbs up to them.
"Then please, go there for the measurement, Mister..?" She asked for my name, possibly for the record of persons who buys on her place.
How troublesome.
Another name I guess.
"Alastair... Brook," it was the fastest name I can make up. Accidentally using Claude's name. But that doesn't really matter.
"Oh, little-Alastair I see, well then.." She said to me going to her storage room of some sort then bringing the measurement tools.
It took some minutes in the measurement room to completely measure my body.
"Your build is exceptional young man, are you perhaps already at your Fourth Year? Most wizards doesn't care about their physical form. Your perfect to be a model for clothing" She asked me, talking about my figure, while she was measuring my arms.
"Oh, not really," I denied, in truth. Tired of her asking me crucial things. Maybe she can notice my fake "shyness" and stop.
It was silence and Madam Malkin's told me my measurement, and also the payment, which will be 89 galleons and 13 Sickles . I only nodded giving her the payment. Lighting my sack weight a bit, and she also informed me that I will get it in a day or two. How fast..
But next was Twilfitt and Tattings.
A more luxurious cloth shop in Diagon Alley. It's where you can buy casual clothing.
And so, I quickly made my way buying 4 sweaters, shirts, shorts, and pants.
Now done with clothing shops, next is.....
Potages Cauldron Shop. This would be an easy buy, they only have limited items to choose from.
It was not far. Well, not like any shop is far. I got into the shop and the front displays four cauldron of different color and metal types. Potion has been the thing I've been wanting to do. In my past life, old me only likes things where im good at, which made me hate Potions. It's like a Physicist learning Chemistry stuff. But then, that took downfall as I, was not good at anything.
But now, after reading thousands of book about Potion, I was angst to try it.
Pewter Cauldron would be the best choice for students, but Arch mostly taught me about the Iron one. Because it's the one he used.
It's more expensive than the rest. How fast money decreases..
I bought one with the price of 25 galleons. Next then would be the most exciting part. The educational stuff.
Apothecary, Flourish and Blotts, and mostly, Knockturn Alley, specifically, Borgin and Burkes.
The Apothecary was on the other side so I took some time to walk around while ordering ice cream from the parlor. Even at this evening time, people are still having their time in here. Time to time while walking , his past life memories would just make him suffer by making him remember the clumsy and idiotic things he did. Like just randomly falling clumsily, being accused as a pervert. Ah, what a life he had.
I finished my Mint Flavored Ice Cream faster than the light while arriving at Apothecary.
Just in the view, I can already see the ingredients. I got a note in my pocket, it was the list of ingredients Arch made for me. It was his "own recipes" potions. The things that I saw in the wizard lab a year ago. Those potions on those shelves.
He said I should try those before doing any other things.
I grunt heavily seeing the prices of them. This is one of the most expensive shops in here I tell ya. Most ingredients are more than 5 galleons. And I only have little left that can sustain me please.
I just gave up on it, going to the store buying the specific ingredients. When the fee was out, I groaned in pain inside as huge part of my money was just gone in a flash. There was still Flourish and Botts, then Knockturn. At this point, his money will already be gone.
I just sighed helpless. The excitement that I had before totally vanished. And going to Flourish and Blotts, I even hesitated.
But stop now I'm here...
The books, A Standard Book Of Spells, A Beginners Guide to Transfiguration, etc, for the first years. I have already read them and perhaps, even memorized them. Not everything but only the important things like every spells in the Standard Book of Spells, and transfiguration spells in the other.
It was pretty easy. But I was sure I didn't have any eidetic or photographic memory. It just stucked onto my mind. Because first off, I already knew them for years, and they're now completely understand by him. What I need only for now maybe are the higher years books. The books I didn't get to learn at the wizard's lab.
It took some time before picking the right ones. I didn't expect it to be really just boring. All books there, mostly I have read. Some where just not helpful at all. So I only managed to buy two. And it's not also that helpful. Just the extra classes higwarts students can attend. Study of Ancient Runes and Divination.
Well, it's now the part that makes me interested quite a bit. In a discreet manner, I made my way to the Griggotts Bank, and now, in the big sack of mine , I put out a vial of potion. I grinned mischievously. It was a potion I stole from his master..
This time, I managed to beat him.
Now, looking around, I quickly gulped the potion down. And as I entered the Knocktrun Alley beside the bank, rather than a handsome young boy, it's a golden haired one with the whitey teeth.
'Dang it.. it's Claude'
Yeah, of course, out of all the people he, Arch, could make the Polyjuice Potion for, its Claude. His one and only friend.. of course.. how stupid of me..
I just accepted my form and quietly tumbled slowly. This was a height I never once achieved in my past life. Meaning, it was a height I've never been. And I'm not used to it at all.
Being a giant all of a sudden, nuh uh.
I stand tall than most of the scattered dark men around here. Most of them looks eerie looking. But it's a thing I should adapt too.
I looked around and sees the certain exact shop I was looking for. I got around just staring and all, then I observe first the outer exterior of the shop. And all I can say is dark auras are totally spilling out from this shop.
The very own shop, Tom Marvolo Riddle, worked for after leaving Hogwarts.
A shop specializing in dark things, Borgin and Burkes. I got in seeing a grumpy looking adult man who seems tired in his chair.
I raised an eyebrow. He ignored me, so I ignored him too. After this shop, I will straightly go to the inn, and probably, will stay here for the rest of the year. So I should minimize my time now. It's evening now, and only hours are remaining before night comes, where Arch is going to part off.
I looked around here and there, saw some interesting things that I will ask for later. I don't need to really rush buy, I literally will live just here in Diagon Alley or just anywhere close.
But books are needed. It was a thing I didn't able to buy that much. And thus, in the stock of tottering piles of books in a dirty box, I observe some and picked a really dusty one. Yet, I felt something from it. I don't usually let my gut decides things but just for this once.
Then another where the title is obvious, some advance harmful charms, that are a not confirmed yet if it's working properly. According to what the introduction says in the first page.
I still got it and for the last thing, I looked for more and saw a certain black device, where it's aura is not spilling, but only surround it.
It was one of the rare items here I say, so I got total of three things. Buying it in the cost of 93 galleon, 16 Sickles, and 45 knuts.
Calculating all of what he spent, which is 543 galleon and 10 Sickles. Resulting to what's left, 561 galleons. But later, he will convert
half of his knuts, which converting 2k+ equals 84 galleons. Half of sickles resulting to 15 galleons. All together, what's left is 660 galleons, 255 sickles, and 2450 knuts.
It was a large amount that's just fades like a dust, but it was worth it I say. I came out of the Knockturn Alley exactly as the potion worn out. I grabbed all my things as I proceed all the way to the other side. Back to the inn.
pretty long chapter so I had hard time editing wrong things out. so might see some mistakes. also, aint anyone brave enough to comment? lmao, diss me all you want,
