Oh, Joy. No, Really.

It always feels like time is dragging when you eagerly await something. In my case its Tanya's visit.

I don't know which is better, me visiting her place, of her mine. We're guaranteed a clean area to be in at my place, along with food. We don't get privacy though. Cause of Emily.

Her place, we can do whatever we feel like for the most part. Which is curse, take walks anytime, and veg out in her room. The only time we're bugged by her family is to demand she clean and occasionally cook. If we ignore them long enough they shut up though. Well, most the time.

There are those times we just do it so her 'mother' will shut the fuck up. She looks like a bull frog that got slapped with an ugly forest. In Tanya's case, she is blessed she looks like a vetter version of her dad.

I want to murder them all. Cruelly. For loving Tanya's brother and mistreating Tanya. I'll never forgive them for how they treat Tanya. If not for those stupid laws...

Haah. Anyways. We get left alone for tge most part at Tanya's. Food is not guaranteed and everywhere but Tanya's room is disgusting. Sometimes there are clothes all over Tanya's room, but that's it. No mold or unidentifiable goop....

Worse, if she defends herself from her brother's attacks SHE is yelled at and punished. But not him. He gets babied. My revenge is to call him bastard to his face, he gets hysterical over that. Or I miscall his name. Instead of Jimmy, I say Jaynie.

Stupid balding prick.

This time, Tanya is coming to my place. Funny story, I am blamed for Tanya 'misbehaving' by her family. And Tanya is blamed for me 'misbehaving' by mine. Meanwhile we just act normally and it just seems worse cause there are two of us.

So, I am waiting for her arrival. Her mother has called a few times changing the ETA. She's gotta feed her addiction to scratch offs, I'm sure.

I've already cleaned. I made everybody food, so they've ate. I spent time outside. Now I am just slouching in the couch. Pouting and staring at the wall ahead of me rather than whatever rerun my Dad is watching.

I look out the window several times as well. I hate waiting. Get here faster!

Finally, close to dinner time, they arrive. I run out the door and glomp Tanya. Sure we spent last Night together, but this is Day. We politely wait to leave the adults presence for the almost hour that her parents and mine converse during.

As soon as they pull out the drive, we head to my room. Emily doesn't really like Tanya. I don't care. But as we go into our room, she goes out. Meh.

We chat about what actually took so long, more scams, and we chat about what we wanna do. Then we start talking bout ghosts and Night life along with the spirit world.

Slighlty late I realize the time and go out to cook. Tanya helps me, she's the only one who would. I always insist she doesnt need to, but she does anyways. We're like that with eachother.

Sometimes I feel annoyed while she's helping cause my brain doesn't register that she's not a deterrent to getting my task done. It's a confusing feeling and I usually just stew mentally about it. Not that I can keep emotions off my face.

When she notices, she backs off and waits to be asked to do something or just talks to me. I can't say I noticed during those times that I've done this, and I can't say I've apologized either.

Isn't that how best friends are? No matter how much we love each other, we annoy each other as much.

I mean, there was a point we got into a fight. We actually quit being friends for 6 months because of it. I can't even remember why we fought. Eventually we patched up. Even though we'd both moved and numbers had changed during that time.

We made up over email and MySpace.

Anyways. Once dinner is done we serve everyone before going to my room to hide out and chat.

We go outside after we eat. I always get her to go outside, even though with her ultra white vamp skin she always burns to the point of blisters. We still go, cause we can get a bit of privacy that way.

Our conversation eventually leads to the corruption of the Spirit and Demon worlds. It's getting on our nerves how much like Day life its getting. We start devising plans to execute something, anything, to have a place seperate from these chaotic and hurtful worlds.

Our conversation is cut short when Emily joins us. We change the subject and include her. I feel bad that my friends are the only ones who come over and hers never really do. She tags along with us basically all the time. We don't really like it, but what can we do?

Emily will snitch on us about just about anything Night related we say. We've learned our lesson bout that long ago.

We talk about the silly things that Emily wants to chat about. Play games she wants to do, though we've outgrown a lot of outdoor games that don't involve spending money.

She eventually invites us to watch a movie with her. Which we decline. She'll likely play some games on playstation or the nintendo. Or she'll just watch Mary Poppins.

We pick up where we left off. At some point we get bored of being outside and head back to my room. Emily is coloring when we go in. A Disney movie playing.

We go to the old computer that doesnt have internet access and chat through taking turns typing and occasionally talking to Emily. We chose to not color with her. She'd pick the picture anyways.

This is how our visits with each other go, pretty much. Except at this house its more boring because there is less to do. No trees to climb. No hidey holes. Just a small yard shared with the landlady. Who is a mean hag by all rights.

She used to babysit lil Dill. Uncle Dill convinced her to rent to my parents. Its a long story...
