'Just how many are there? I can't take anymore than this. My body's on the brink of exhaustion.'

She stood at the middle of the road with blood dripping down her sword.

It was nightfall, the time where unrecognizable monsters roam.

'Whatever, i'll kill that shitty old man once I see him!' Her blood boiled in anger remembering her boss who gave her that mission.

A few second later, another wave of monsters charged at her.

'FUCK!' She shouted grabbing her hair.

The fight continued, due to fatigue a few monsters successfully wounded her.

'This months payment gotta be high, if not i'll quit!'

A few hours later...

'I can't lift a finger.' Her body layed down the cold ground. Surrounded by dead monsters.

The sun began to rise.

'Finally, I'll sleep for a little while.' She mumbled shutting her eyes off.

'Adalia.' She heared a distant voice calling her name, but she didn't bother to look.

She spend her whole day sleeping, because of fatigue and heavy injuries.

Her eyes finally opened spending another hour laying down.

'That was a good nap!' Stretching her arms.

'Ow!' The wound at her shoulder opened.

'Finally awake?' A man sitting beside her asked. Her eyes widened.

'HEY BOSS!' She shouted.

Adalia suddenly stood at the top of the hospital bed pointing at him. He crossed his arms looking at her intensely.

'Sit down.' He said.

She stopped, immediately sitting down.

'What happened out there? Why where you so far from the border? Didn't I tell you to bring your men with you?' He asked, but she didn't processed all of it.

She scratched her head thinking for a reason to escape his questions.

'Don't even think about it.' He added.

'Heh!' She smiled.

'WAIT!' She shouted.

'YOUR THE ONE WHO ORDERED ME TO GO OUT THERE!' Her loud voice echoed across the hallways.

A nurse burst inside the room. The door slammed at the wall.

'What happened!?' She worryingly asked.

They both turned looking at the nurse.

'Damn she's strong' Adalia mumbled.

The nurse saw Adalia's shoulder bleeding, she marched towards her grabbing her arm.

'Ow! gently please~' She teasingly said.

Her boss shaked his head with diss appointment. He stood up scratching his head.

'Go to my office later, I'll ask what happened.' He said, walking out of the room.

'BOSS WAIT FOR ME!' She shouted attempting to escape the nurse.

The nurse forcibly grabbed her other arm.

'Stay here young lady.' The nurse smiled.

Adalia felt shivers.

'That damned boss left me!' She thought.

After her treatment, she went inside the headquarters. The other hounds greeted her with respect welcoming her back.

'How are you lady?' A worker asked.

'I'm fine! Thanks for asking!' She replied with a smile.

Another hound gave her a cup of her favorite coffee.

'Thanks' She said.

The hound blushed.

She then knocked at her boss door.

'Enter.' He answered.

As she opened the door, a dart flew directly at her. She swiftly avoided it, the dart peirce into the wall causing it to crack.

'Boss! What the hell!!' She shouted in anger.

The workers outside heard her shouting.

'They're fighting again.' A worker said.

Her boss laughed looking at her.

'Your reflexes are still good, looks like you need another mission tomorrow.' He said teasing her.

'Father! I mean- Boss!!' She replied walking towards him.

'I'll quit!' She added sitting infront of him with crossed arms.

He laughed placing the paper his reading down.

'Child, you can't quit, you do know your the heir right?' He answered.

'Whatever, I really don't care about being a heir.' She replied.

He sighed, looking at her.

'Child, I know you don't want this type of job. But this is the option for a hound like you. It's safe, if people know your hound they might kill you.' He explained.

'I know that, but I still wanna live a peaceful life.' She sadly said, she looked down fidgeting her finger.

'I'm fully aware that your fond of humans Adalia. But, they aren't as kind as you think' He replied.

'About yesterday, what were you saying?' She asked, changing the topic.

'I didn't order you to go outside the border.' He said with a serious expression.

'But I clearly saw the message you wrote. That's why I went outside, I saw a few m

humans roaming around. They almost died, but I managed to kill the monsters.' She explained.

The boss eyes widened.

'Humans?' He asked.

'Yeah, I saw a few outside the border.' She added.

'SHIT! CALL EVERYONE!' He shouted.
