Chapter 20: The Raid Continues

The group got back to the garage a couple hours after leveling up. Each member was able to level up 3 times. Lazy still remaining behind.

"Man that was easier then I thought it would be" Power said. "We can at least take out two of the adult DinoGators without much problem."

"Guys you do realized I had to heal the fuck out of you all right" Grimm questioned. "It wasn't luck." He turned to Nitro "and you! You just had to rampage in and almost get stepped on by that thing!"

"Hey I said I was sorry. I wanted to see what would happen if I explode punched it."

The group laughed and started to get onto the bus.

Power reached into his inventory pulling out some meat and wild vegetables he found.

"Hey Lazy. I also got this for you" he handed him a small mountain of hide. "We collected it from the DinoGators. Hopefully this will help with something"

His eyes lit up with ideas on how to use it. He took it and started working. Swift and the rest started to slightly rest while Power cooked the meat and veggies. Lazy worked with the hide outside the bus.

The smell from the food excited the group. The stew he made lasted a couple days but these new foods were all amazing. After an hour of prep work and actual cooking it was already for the guys to dig in. Power brought a plate they stole form a house to each person. Grimm, Nitro and Swift all got a plate and started to chow down. Tantrum was at the back of the bus eating some raw NurealRat meat. Power left the bus carrying two plates with him. He sat on the bench behind Lazy watching him work with the hide.

With a mouth full of food Power asked. "Watcha Doin Lazy?"

"Trying to decide if I should make a satchel for this idea I have. Or if I should make armor with it." Lazy leaned back slightly turning around grabbing his plate and dropping two empty glass vials next to him.

"Can you do me a favor? Can you fill those two vials with your ice power? And thanks for the food" he sat on the work bench eating while facing Power.

"I'm not sure if I can do that. I mean ya I can turn my Psionic power into ice for the skills, but I never tried"

Lazy munched on his food as he watched Power grab the vail. He held it in both hands with his eyes closed. He focused his Psionic power to flow through his body and into the vial. He could feel the vial get colder and colder. Opening his eyes he could see the vial with a swirling ice storm inside the vial.

Crack

The ice started to crack the glass breaking it. The ice storm disappeared as the vial shattered to the ground.

"Aw man. Oh well. There goes that idea" Lazy said while eating not really paying attention.

"Let me try again!"

Power grabbed the other vial. Closing his eyes again and focusing his power into the vial. He could feel the vial get colder and colder. He focused on containing the storm inside the vial. He opened his eyes seeing the ice swirling around contained in the vial.

Lazy jumped up snagging the vial out his hand replacing it with his empty plate.

"Thanks man!" He ran over to the workbench.

"I want to try something as a surprise. Also I think I'm going to use the hide as a backpack. Know we have the inventory system but more going for style" he chuckled as he started working.

Power shook his head and walked back into the bus. The bus was lively. The group was talking about their level up and what skills they are getting.

Swift spend 5 points on a new skill, Wind Cloak, and 1 for bus intelligence stat.

Wind Cloak- able to create a cloak of wind around you. Ranged attacks have a chance, based off of you dexterity stat, to get caught into the cloak and fly away. Melee attacks are also slightly faster. Costs 2 mana a second.

He spent his points on a new skill, Suppressing Fire, and his Constitution stat.

Suppressing Fire- a passive skill. While shooting at targets behind cover or missing a target, there is a slight chance to cause the target to ignore what they were doing and hide in fear.

"Finally. Able to have enemies run in fear of me! Hahahahaha" he laughed with a maniacal laughter while holding his gun.

Power thought the wind cloak was a good skill and what he recently did with the vial also helped him pick his new skill. He also spent his last point into his strength stat.

Psionic Element: Ice Aura- able to harness tour Psionic power to form an aura of sheer cold around you. While enemies are within 5ft of you able to deal damage to them. The lower a targets level is to yours the higher the chance you are able to freeze them.

Lazy got onto the bus and chatted with group for another hour before they all decided to go to sleep. The group each got into a bed and relaxed. The group just sat in silence thinking about their new lives. It was good for the group. They were all slightly coming to terms with the situation they were in. Everyone missed their family and loved ones. It would be a long 20 years for them but if they transfer back to the exact moment they logged in they should be fine.

After a couple of moments the group was sound asleep and resting.
