Chapter 50

Dustin cocked an eyebrow as Jewel blushed a dozen shades of red. He tilted his head at his best friend and Jewel shrugged.

“Dustin,” Nicolae whispered, dragging Dustin’s attention away. Nicolae laid his lips against Dustin’s ears, speaking only to him. “You should know that I would have done the same.” Dustin frowned and shook his head, not understanding. He felt Nicolae’s smile against his face and it was almost as sweet as the kiss that was pressed on to Dustin’s cheek. “I would not have rested if you were harmed either. Thank you.”

Their hands found each other’s. Their fingers laced together. “Dustin?” Nicolae asked, his voice lightening with amusement.

Dustin smiled. “What?”

“Are we all done with our visiting now?”

Dustin laughed and leaned in to kiss Nicolae’s mouth quickly. “I’d say we’ve done enough visiting for the day, yes.”
