Chapter 20 : Lazy Raven Summoner

Cain left and headed towards the Zrervin Central Library , there he first checked books about energy manipulation ability and Summoning . The Energy Manipulation ability didn't have any books on it and all the information about it was things which could be deduced such as able to convert energy from one form to another , able to control all forms of energy unless the opponent has very high affinity to the type of energy the person is trying to effect or control . Except this there wasn't much Cain could find about the ability.

As for summoning there were many books , it also said in this all beings can summon creatures using their mana and with a specific set of runes carved on the floor . But most of the times the creatures summoned would be weak or very dumb which makes them very difficult to control so most people wouldn't use their summons . It was possible to summon very strong creatures if the user of the magic had high affinities to mana or some attributes of mana.

Cain then noted down information as he didn't want to go to the one known as the Lazy Raven summoner unprepared .

It was noon now , Cain went out of the library and inquired where to meet this Lazy raven summoner . After some time he reached a dull book store which had a board on it which said Raven Book store . He went inside , the atmosphere here was gloomy . At the end of the shop Cain saw a Middle aged man with Long brown hair tied to the back of his head and a small beard and mustache . He wore black robes and had a black walking stick to his side where a raven rested on it , he gazed at Cain few times and returned to reading his book.

Cain approached the man and asked

"Sander Firetooth sent me here , he told you could teach me Summoning Magic ." To this the Middle aged man in a irritated gaze told

"I can teach you for 3 Gold Welks , but since Sander recommended you i'll take only 60 Silver Welks and throw in some books about summoning based on your attributes " Cain was taken aback since 60 Silver was a lot by common folk standard , with this money a average man could stay in a Tavern for a week and have good food with still some money remaining. But looking at the man's face Cain agreed and paid him 60 silver Welks , that man's face showed a wide smile and said

"Great now follow me , by the way my name is Wilson Blackwing " Cain then followed the man as the went out to a large garden with few flowers and lot of runes and magic circles written on the floor .

Wilson tossed a pearl to Cain , as Cain caught the pearl it started to burn , as it reduced to nothing .Cain was shocked , Wilson stared at Cain a little spoke

"You have a high affinity to flame magic , but it may be specific part in flame magic i don't know as the attribute pearl didn't burn to nothing before . I'll teach you all necessary things and you can customize the runes and spells to suit your needs". After that Wilson stepped back creating some distance between him and Cain.

Wilson closed his eyes for some time and appeared as if chanting something , then when he opened his eyes they were glowing violet . Magic circles a started to appear above his palm through which a Black Raven came out covered in dark violet smoke . It flew high then came down and landed next to Wilson . Now Wilson spoke

"If you reach a certain mastery you'll be able to summon beasts like as just as you saw now , The runes and magic circles on the ground are for beginners and new summoning spells for my practice , It will take atleast 2 days to completely give you an Idea about summoning and prepare you to summon . So when do you want to start ?" Wilson looked at Cain as , Cain was looking at the large bird.

Cain didn't miss a single thing what Wilson did , he observed all his moments , mana flow and the vibrations of Wilson's throat as he was chanting silently . From all this observing Cain could tell Wilson was a expert in summoning , he then observed the bird which had an aura of a C rank and asked

"Wilson , what's this beast called ?"

"This here is called Mist Raven , it mostly can do all types of infiltration and scouting due to its ability to convert it's whole body into mist . Though it's weak but none beat it in info gathering And you haven't answered me yet , When will you start ?"

"I'll come day after tomorrow if you're fine with it . I still have some work which needs to be finished ."

Wilson listening to these went away and brought some books and tossed it to Cain telling

"One book is about the basics of summoning , it goes in detail to explain how magic circles should be made what are those runes so read it well and come , The others are about beasts which are summoned to high flame affinity users" Cain looked at the books he was pleased and he started to speak as

"Thank y-" Wilson interrupted him saying

"Nothing is free pay up 5 Gold Welks"Hearing this Cain looked at Wilson with complete disappointment , seeing this Wilson turned away and told

"I'm not Giving away those , it's for renting them " Cain's brows started to twitch but , he wasn't that angry but irritated as Cain went towards the door he kept 5 gold Welks on the table as he was going out and spoke

"If the lessons i get aren't useful this gloomy shop , well it'll become a piece of history" Wilson smiled at Cain as he moved out and after some time spoke to himself

"Well Sander now you've sent me a golden egg laying goose , lets squeeze it while we can until this goose matures to a monster. Man! that mana around that guy is no joke"

"Well who would've thought a person with that much control on mana stays in such a shabby place , well no need to worry i'l squeeze my money's worth from him . Lets go and sell some material in the guild" Cain spoke he went to the adventurer's guild.

As Cain entered the guild he felt surprised even now as he thought 'Some fantasy guild nothing like what i expected' . He moved to the Raw materials selling counter and asked for the receptionist so that he could sell goblins and white goblin bodies . The receptionist asked him to follow her as she showed him a large desk and signaled him to put them there.

Cain took out 3 bodies of White goblins and 10 pairs of normal goblin ears . The receptionist saw them for a little time and called a worker to collect them . Cain sold only this much as he didn't want unnecessary attention and become the super rookie having a target on his back , but he needed some to have to do this as per the guild rules .

Cain then collected 100 Silver Welks and as he was going out he felt someone grab his shoulder.

Cain was aware of this as after sometime he entered the guild , he felt someone observing from the start but he chose to ignore it as it was by a tall young man who came with Olivia to the meet that day with Martin .

Cain now looked at the young man as he stared back at him
