New world order: Global transmigration

What would you do if you were dumped into a new world with no plan, no friends, and no idea how you were going to complete your objective? What is the objective, you may ask? World domination, obviously. Join Alex as he navigates his way through twists and turns to complete his hopeless objective. He was not special, but he had one advantage; he was hard-working. But was that enough in this world of ungodly lucky protagonists and murderous villains? I'll guess you will find out, if you read the web novel. :) (The art is not made by me and if you are the original creator you can ask me take it down by commenting so on any of the chapters)

Immediately my vision blurred, and, in the next moment, I arrived at my starting location.

2 stars, if I was being honest, I wanted a 1 star, but I also knew that I was more than likely to get a 3 or 4. The idea of a 5 was like hell and I was certain 5 star start locations consisted of deserts and stranded island locations or maybe in a frozen mountain range and I really did not want to end up there.

I was lucky. 2 stars gave me a great head start and even better, I would not relax and become arrogant by the middle stages and die to someone who worked hard to shorten the gap between us.

2 stars seemed the perfect balance between having a good start and having a motivation to catch up.

And I was going to catch up. I was ready to work hard at whatever these gods threw at me, no matter the task.

My starting location was, wait no, this can't be right.

The snow.

The mountains.

I'm in a snowy mountain range.

HOW? Did I not have a 2 start rating? I was meant to be in the Bahamas with tropical beaches and lush forest, not this.

Luckily, I myself, as a demon, was not affected much by the cold, so I was not going to freeze to death. I still had the clothes I was wearing when I died, which because I wanted to dress-up, consisted of my sharpest black suit with a red tie as I thought it would fit with my death.

You know blood, death. How ironic is that now, but damn I must say, me and this tie should marry or something, our chemistry is perfect.

Anyway, enough of that, yes, I'm in a snowy mountain range or more particularly, I'm on a carved mountain path with a view overlooking tens of mountains that are as white as the box I was in a minute ago.

The path I'm on is around a metre wide and the single deadliest and most frightening footpath I have ever seen.

The drop on the edge of the path could give even the most fanatical height enthusiasts a pit in their stomach. Needless to say, I was scared. At first I cling to the side, arms wide, grasping at the edge like I would trip and moment and fall, but after a while I came to my senses and started to move on the path in the opposite direction of the sun.

Was this sensible, maybe, but I didn't want the sun in my eyes, and I only had left or right to choose from so I chose the easier option, okay?

After a while of walking the furthest from the edge I could, I made it to a cave.

Surprisingly, the cave looked massive and looked to be embedded in the entire mountain.

The cave was circular in form and had 3 levels of elevation. At the bottom was the widest area, which made up the majority of the cave. Little offshoots could be seen coming from the layer and led to what I assumed either to be different exits/entrances or a mine of sorts.

The first layer was above the previous and was of much smaller size. Apart from that, no exits or of shoots could be seen as no wall was connected to it.

The next layer was the same, but had a smaller area and higher elevation.

Overall, it was like a stacked cake, but with a pillar shooting through it all and it being a cave and all. It looked unnaturally smooth the entire way round, but with this whole thing being like a dream, I was not that shocked at all.

I could already imagine a underground city and I would be the king who would have it all.

"Mwa ha ha hah" I laughed maniacally, strangely the acoustics did not make my voice echo.

I loved it all, ignoring the lack of food and wood and the basics. It had the potential for remarkable things and I wanted to fulfil it all.

I wanted to build a cool underground city.

I wanted to be a king.

I wanted to dominate the surroundings and become an emperor.

But for that, I needed to take action, so to start, I needed to place my civilisation pole.

What is a civilisation pole? Well, it's the foundation of a kingdom and is the place where my citizens will come from. It will also set the area as mine such to make it easier to monitor from wherever the organisers of this thing are.

My guess is for it to simplify the creation progress of kingdoms, so we fight each other quicker. Just a guess, but I think I'm right.

I grab out my civilisation pole and looked for a suitable area to place it. The pole itself was around 2 metres tall and had the image of a pitchfork in red at the top. It was clear this was for demons, so I wondered what would happen if I stole other races poles. Would a get a reward or something similar?

Walking around the cave, I climbed my way at the top of the cake to get a good view of the cave to see if there are any suitable spots and when I climb up to the top layer, I found a perfect spot.

Seemingly custom made for the pole, a little dug out of the pillar revealed a little hideaway perfect for the placing of the pole. Question was, was this unique for me or when I raid others would they also have a convenient place for their pole? If they did, perhaps this isn't the best place for it.

Sure it's convenient but it's almost too convenient. People will immediately recognise this as the pole location and easily take it. Okay, I'm going to put a fake here and place mine in another spot. Now where shall I put the real one?

I took a wide view of the entire cave and I find a great spot for it.

Not on the highest area but on the awkward 2nd layer was perfect. So, I found a little hidey-hole in a gap between rocks in the second layer and stuck it there.

[Congratulations on claiming your own area. This place shall become the capital of your kingdom and will be a key area for how much you can expand and grow as a kingdom.

For claiming your area successfully and on the first day, you shall receive some extra rewards on top of the basic rewards.

Rewards are as follows:

1 basic map of the area.

1 introduction to the power system of your race.

Skills: Inspect LVL 1, Interface LVL MAX and Missions.

3 regular demons extra.

10 demons every week starting now.]

[We wish you luck and recommend the candidate use the missions as soon as possible.]

As I placed the poll, a light blue transparent barrier flew outwards and scanned the area in all directions.

After a few moments of reverie, I came back to my senses and found that I had gained some rewards.

An interface being the most interesting one. Was it not just a status?

Oh well." Interface."

[Name: Alex] [Age: 28]

[Species: High Demon]

[Agility: 4. Before 1]

[Strength: 4. Before 2]

[Intelligence: 3. Before 3]

[Mana: 1. Before 0]

[Bloodline techniques: None]

[Overall rank: F-]

[Average stat across the 6 species is 1 in each stat.]

Ah, a good old status screen. Feels like home now.

Before, probably refers to my transformation, when I grew these horns. It seems I'm also a high demon, I figured so but I could have been a Baron Demon without any additional mutations. Ah, I probably have red eyes as well. I wonder what that looks like. I need to find a mirror.

Mana means magic definitely exists and bloodline techniques refer to the main weapon of the Demonic species. They invigorate their blood to release bursts of brute power. At the higher levels, a bloodline technique can create a flood of blood or even an army of blood warriors to attack the enemy. I wonder what that looks like. I really want to do that.

Would I not bleed out if I drained a whole flood of my own blood though?

Surely not, right? Right?

I look around in stress, but seeing no one and thinking of how weird I look, I move on.

Okay, next is my pitiful rank. F-, like I get it system, I'm weak, but am I not above average? It says the average is one, so am I not at-least a B? Guess not.

Seems I now need to do open my missions as that's what they recommended.

As I was about to do that, I hear a rumble under the pole and worried I was being attacked. I quickly put up my hands, ready to fight against the intruder. I can't lose my precious pole, the system described before how precious it was and that I needed to do anything to protect it.

`Rumble, rumble`

As the ground collapses, I steeled my nerves remembering the times I fought on the front-lines in LordsVsLords online and got ready for battle.

I finally get to see what's coming out and as I'm about to swing for its skull, it says something in Demon language.

Have a nice day,

Author.
