35. Too much energy

The next day we departed to The World Awakened Academy along with Inhyuk and Seongha. The seven of us stood straight in front of the academy's principal as he spoke formally addressing the match against their students.

After the awkward greeting, Inhyuk warned us not to get into unnecessary trouble and be alert.

"I don't know if we can stay out of trouble considering the atmosphere we walked in was so hostile", explained Subin.

She's not wrong. We got nasty glares from students here as soon as we entered. "It's probably because they heard about our sparring with their students", I spoke.

After that Sucheon left to his room grumpily and Subin suggested we tour the place.

We roamed around for the whole day enjoying the sight. The architecture of the buildings here is much different from our academy they look very old-fashioned but have some uniqueness of their own.

"Finally!", a cheerful voice was heard. We turned in and were met by Arthur. He continued, "I'm glad to see you guys here! I honestly didn't expect you to come Jiwoo Seo."

"Really?"

"What's up with you pretending to be buddy-buddy, huh?", Jisuk nearly growled while blocking Jiwoo.

"I wasn't talking to you so stay out of it", Arthur sneered back. He then peeked at me and was back to his cheerful self. "Eunwoo! I was sure you wouldn't come when we found out that you beat Dale in your first spar!"

I grinned at him saying, "How could I possibly miss-"

"Back off. I'll bust your ass black and blue when I see you next time", Jisuk cut me off.

Arthur gave us a warning to be careful against the other students before leaving which I truly appreciate.

I returned to Jiwoo and my shared dorm while the other kids continued to explore the place. During my training, I found out that I was more of a long-distance fighter now but could still do significantly well in a short-distance fight because I did MMA. Kartein and Kayden were out to find a good place for a nap so I decided to get my feelings and fight style together.

I started so by practicing force control and manipulating its flow according to which suited me the best. Keeping my breathing steady I recalled the fight between Jiwoo and Duke. Their movements were smooth yet impactful and unbelievingly fast which I could barely keep up with. Without me knowing my force control was increasing so much that it was beyond my control. Unaware of what was happening I continued. My whole body was soon drenched in sweat and my eyebrows were frowned. The window of the room opened and two panicked cats rushed in.

BANG!

Startled by the loud noise of the window I stopped and glanced from where the sound came from. Kartein tsked at my surprised expression.

"What are you acting surprised for?! I am the one who was nearly scared to death!", shouted the white cat.

"Why would you be scared...?", I asked wiping my face with a hand towel.

Kayden sighed before explaining in Kartein's stead because it looked like he would pass out any moment from stress. "In short, your energy is starting to harm your body. You need to strengthen your body to be able to control much stronger energy."

"Which means your extreme training starts now! And it cannot be delayed." Kartein said pointing his paw at me. "I'm gonna seal your energy to a certain limit so that it won't go out of control when we're not training. Let's begin with a thousand push-ups!"

"But that's-"

"Start right now or else it will be two thousand", he warned glaring at me.

I'm freaking exhausted after that hellish training. Not to mention the torture! I sparred with Kayden and got beaten up badly only for Kartein to heal me and repeat the same. It was nearly evening, and I lay on the couch debating whether to join the rest or not. Just the door opened and cheers were heard.

"Just wait and see how I'll kick her ass."

"Yeah, right. I clearly saw how you 'kicked' Duke's ass. Hehe..."

"It was a-"

"Oh my, our sleeping beauty is here. You know Subin is scheduled for a spar with one of the students tomorrow", Jisuk explained before sitting on the other couch.

"Really? That's fast. But since it's Subin we're talking about, I'm not worried because she won't get hurt", I said sitting up so that there was enough space for everyone.

"You're the only one who believes in me, Eunwoo!", She said side hugging me and I chuckled.

"But it still worries me a bit", Jiwoo expressed his concern.

Jisuk decided to destroy the peaceful atmosphere saying, "Yeah, how about you just drop out?"

"WHY YOU @&#$*%!!!"
