4 Picked Up A Wallet

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

At noon, Wesley ordered some fast food and settled his stomach problems in his office. Right now, he did not dare eat too much. Although Apple wanted him to eat more high-calorie food, his wallet did not allow it. He would wait until he had money.

Now that his work was done, he had nothing to do. He might as well log into the Internet and see if the ace of the Assassin Alliance had died.

He searched for news, keywords, death, gangs, and so on. Sure enough, a bunch of information appeared. This is America. These things happen too much every day. Finally, he added a rooftop.

It was good this time, but there were several messages as well, which surprised Wesley. He had not expected there to be several more messages under so many conditions, but what he needed to see had already appeared.

There were a few people lying on the rooftop, all dead. A guy in a black trench coat was particularly conspicuous, but his head had been pixelated, and he was probably dead. This was good news. His father, the top assassin codenamed Cross, had already started to move, so could the fools who sent him money be far away?

"Apple, what do you think I should do?" Wesley asked.

"I can't offer an opinion." Apple's answer made Wesley speechless again. It was true that Apple was very powerful today, but Wesley had forgotten that it was an immature system.

"Okay, then let me tell you what I think. It's impossible to escape. The other party won't let me go. So why don't I join in and train my skills. Then I'll work with my father to kill them all. What do you think?"

Apple responded graciously, "You can also get a large sum of money." Well, Wesley himself admits that this is the main problem. He didn't notice it when he was watching the movie, but it should have been a large sum of money, but then it was gone. It was easy to deposit it, but how did the big boss Sloan transfer the huge sum of money in the end?

"So how do I keep the money?" Wesley asked.

"Spend it after cash withdrawals." The answer Apple gave made Wesley's breath stop.

"Of course I know that. You're an intelligent system after all. Can't you give me some level answers?" Wesley had some hope for this.

"I can't break through the bank's firewall. I don't know how the other party did it. There are too few letters in the movie."

"Yes, after all, this is a movie, and this is reality. It seems that in case I really withdraw cash, where should I put such a large amount of cash?" Having been struggling with this question until it was time to get off work, Wesley took his business bag and walked home. When he passed an ATM, he took out his bank card to check.

The ATM clearly showed, "Bastard, you don't have any money." Wesley was in a bad mood. He took out his wallet and looked at it. There was still more than 100 dollars left. His salary would not be paid until next week, and he still had to pay utilities and rent.

He took a deep breath. "What a tragedy. Such a handsome man wants to ask a beautiful woman out, but I don't have the money to get a room. What do you think, Apple?"

"It's much better than your past. In the past, you were always at the forefront of the times. Many popular nouns can be used to describe you as a loser, a bachelor, and a homebody. These popular nouns are all yours." Apple's answer made Wesley's brain crash.

"How can you know my past? Although it's all real."

"I'm in your head. I know all your memories."

"Remember, no leaks, or you will be formatted." Wesley said an IT name.

"Formatting me means that you need to become an idiot yourself, and there is no possibility of a cure." Apple's response made Wesley instantly lose his momentum. Now he and the system were 'bound'.

A listless Wesley walked into the convenience store near his house. This time, he wasn't here to buy medicine. He took a can of energy drink. He wanted to taste it or feel if some energy drink would work. He also wanted to see if anyone had come to his door. But he was disappointed. The other party hadn't come yet. They needed to suffer heavy losses before they remembered him.

He drank it in one gulp and burped, then stood there and felt it. "Advertisements are all lies." Leaving this sentence echoing in the air, he walked into the house.

"You're back? It's so early today. Didn't your boss ask you to work overtime?" Casey was cooking. Wesley thought this woman was not bad, but he didn't need her. He would leave her to Barry.

"Yes, no one provoked her today, so she got off work normally." Wesley glanced at the dining table. He really didn't want to eat on it. Then he looked around the room. Oh great, there was a small coffee table. He pulled it directly to the bed and turned on the TV. "Eat here today. I want to watch TV." Then he threw down his briefcase and went into the bathroom.

"Meow" Annabelle stayed in the bathroom. When she saw Wesley, she ran over and rubbed his leg affectionately. "Oh, little girl, are you hungry again?" Wesley squatted down and wanted to hug her, but just as he squatted down, he saw Annabelle moving a wallet with her claws. Wesley picked it up and looked at it. Barry's wallet should have fallen outside. Annabelle put it in her mouth. "Good girl, dinner is ready."

Wesley looked at the wallet. There was a lot of money in it, another thousand or so. Barry worked the same job as he did, but his parents often gave him money, and Wesley knew it. He put the wallet in his pants pocket. He had no intention of returning it.

Placing cat food in Annabelle's cat food bowl, the little girl ate it happily. If she left this place in the future, Annabelle would need to take it with her.

Dinner was just some traditional American food. No matter what they did, it was just that. Wesley ate while watching TV. Casey was also unusually quiet because she had met Barry today. She would be quiet for a day after every date they had.

At night, the two of them lay under the same blanket, but there was no passion on either side. Casey was probably tired after eating. Although Wesley was single in his previous life, he really didn't have any thoughts about this woman. It was better to wait and maybe go on a date with Nicole. He picked up a wallet today, right?
