"Can I utilize all the cultivation methods?!" I inquired curiously.
Of all the things he talked about, I was more intrigued by the fact that he explained these three methods of cultivation to me genuinely.
Moving to and fro at the end of the room. He stopped to look at me slightly, before continuing his motion.
"You'll have to learn all these three methods," he said solemnly.
'Ehh! Did I just call suffering upon myself!' I couldn't help but think on that line.
"W-wait, I ain't…"
"You don't have a say in this…" he said, glaring at me.
Hmmm? Why am I worried? I can use this to become overpowered.
"Hehehehehe."
Lost in thought, I giggled out loud. It wasn't easy to come up with such a great plan.
Clearing my thoughts, I looked forward, meeting the weird expression on my trainer's face; did I do something wrong?
"Why the weird giggle?" He asked, his expression taking a dark turn. "Don't tell me you're mentally ill!"
His eyes widened in horror, as he walked to me. I could tell he was scared of something.
Touching my head, he shut his eyes, chanting some strange words I couldn't understand. "Haa, you got me for a second there," he said, breathing a sigh of relief.
"What's wrong?" I inquired curiously.
"Nothing, just… prepare," he said, moving further away. "I'll start with 'Body tempering'."
I don't have anything to prepare though. Won't hurt to do some exercise, since I'm going to be tempering my body. Now, I'm going to start my rise to power.
"Hehehehehe."
His step faltered as he turned to take one last glance at me. Shaking his head, he continued his motion to a shelf by the left side of the room.
I wasn't really into sports back on Earth, though I watched football, basketball, tennis, and many other sports, I didn't bother to check their method of training. But don't fret… Raymond taught me a lot.
Standing straight, I punched the air with the maximum force and speed I could handle, trying my best to break through my limits.
Raymond had taught me a lot of things… including female stuff. I can't wait to test them out.
Twitch
I wish I could read minds, the way that old man's muscles twitch… seems bad to me.
Changing forms, I started doing push-ups, frog jump, jogging, jumping, flying kick, drop kick, and other techniques of training I could perform.
"What are you doing?" Said the old man, dropping the book in his hand.
Hmm? Isn't that obvious, I'm training.
Ahem, I can't sound rude. "Training!"
"Who taught you that?" He asked in exasperation.
"Mmh? Ray… ahem, master Raymond," I replied, clearing my throat.
Twitch
"The way you're doing it… seems so wrong," he said, walking to me.
"Ehh!"
"Don't bother, just take off your clothing," he gestured.
Twitch
I always knew he was a pervert. Does he not have any shame; in asking me to take off my clothes?
Looking at me. "I'm not interested in your little PP, so corporate."
Twitch
Following his movements. I saw as he walked toward the right, picking up a book from the shelf.
Moving to an open space, he sat crossed-legged, looking at the ring on his finger.
If I'm not wrong, this should be a similar artifact to the one Igor had; a space ring as they call it.
*Fushhh*
Something came out from the ring, it had the appearance of a pot; wait! Is he planning to… cook me?!
"What's that?" I asked curiously, shifting those eerie thoughts to the back of my mind.
"A 'cauldron'," he said, gently rubbing its surface. "Used to make concoctions, though I'm not adverse in that part, so, don't take my definition seriously."
"Ohh!"
"Yup, you'll need to get in… so prepare," he said, his frail voice taking an eerie turn.
I was right all along… I'm going to get cooked

Authors POV
Standing in front of the cauldron was Liam, staring frantically at the boiling liquid.
"You can enter now," the old man said, smiling at Liam.
'That smile… he's finally showing his true colors,' Liam thought, his eyes twitching.
He was currently naked, the cauldron blocking his… size from my eyesight; I would have loved to witness it though.
"Don't fret, kid, it's not that harmful… that's one of the reasons you were taught endurance by Raymond," he said, his smile widening.
"So it was all a set up… for this day?" Liam inquired, glaring at the old man.
"Yup. Fate is such a delicate concept, right?"
*Twitch*
"But don't fret, everything will be fine," he added, gesturing that I enter the cauldron.
'I have come this far, can't retreat now,' Liam thought, as he placed one leg into the cauldron.
Opening his eyes, he peeped to confirm if his leg entered the cauldron aka boiling liquid; because right now, all he felt was a cooling sensation, which betrayed the liquid appearance.
"Surprised! I told you right, it won't hurt," he shrugged, giving Liam the; I told you, look.
Shutting his eyes, Liam completed his motion; sitting comfortably inside the cauldron, that seemed to be tailored-made for him.
"Haa," he sighed ecstatically, relishing the cooling sensation the liquid produced.
'I can stay here… forever,' he thought, his brain shutting down.
The old man smirked as he watched Liam closely, intrigued by the little boy's naivety.
Feeling a prickling sensation on his skin, Liam opened his eyes slightly, his eyebrows arching in wonder.
"Hey, old man… ahhh!" He tried to say something but was enveloped by a painful sensation.
Screaming, he struggled to escape the cauldron captivity but failed miserably.
Trashing at the sidings of the cauldron, he yelled. "Ahhhh!"
"As I said… endurance is a key factor here. If you can endure this… you'll gain a lot," said the old man, his frail voice serene in nature.
As Liam trashed frantically, he watched him closely, observing as the liquid sipped into Liam's skin, orifices, and all openings in the body.
It was a dreadful sight, which could leave the weak-hearted wounded; but the old man watched, only showing expressions of surprise and interest.
"Ahhh!" Liam yelled out in pain. "Please! I can't!"
Tears rolled off his eyes, consumed by the liquid that drove ferociously, entering through any openings it could find; including his fragile eyes.
"Hold on…! Just a little more!" said the old man, a gleam of pity displaying on his eyes for a brief moment.
Liam tried to follow the old man's advice but failed woefully; as the agonizing pain took all his senses of rationality.
As the liquid of many colors dwindled, black goo oozed off Liam's body; using the pathways created by the mysterious liquid.
As the liquid, both exiting and entering Liam's body dwindled, the cauldron fell sideways; allowing him to roll out, his ragged breathing echoing through the room.
"Good! Good!" Said the old man, clapping.
"Seems Raymond taught you something," he said, smiling down at Liam.
"I must say… your body is messy." He said squatting. "It's time you take a cool shower."
Picking up the weak Liam, he moved toward a shelf. Touching a book on the shelf; it shifted away, leaving a door-like structure.
Walking in, he smiled widely; his eyes gleaming slightly.
