Chat With A Druid

Monday morning started off very interestingly. I sent out a message to my favorite mercenary and tell her that I was moving out to Beacon Hills so if she wanted to meet up for more jobs she knew where to find me. Yet alas as busy as I was to be today the twins were downstairs making such a ruckus that I couldn't help but get out of bed.

Texting Erica a quick message that we'll meet at the park later for a tour of the town, I put on some jeans and head to kitchen downstairs. As I got closer the sound of the twins fighting in the kitchen became clearer as I heard "Aiden you will not disrespect these waffles with whipped cream!" followed by "Thats ridiculous Ethan and you know it!"

I hide my amusement as I walk into the kitchen and see them arguing over a stack of waffles as they stopped and turned to me as Ethan withheld the cannister in his hand. "Oh don't mind me, carry on boys." Reaching for a waffle on my way out, I grab a jacket sitting on the chair, I'm sure whichever twin won't mind as I head into the garage door.

Turning on the lights I notice the bikes....what the hell did these two guys do? "TWINS!" I turn around and see the twins already standing by the door.

"IT WAS AIDEN/ETHAN'S FAULT!"

"Ethan speak."

"Well didn't you say we were building a pack anyways? And we thought since the mansion is big and you have a lot of money especially after draining your Uncles accounts....well AIDEN said let's just buy the whole store. So...I..

agreed..."

I was dumbfounded looking at over 60 motorcycles layered around my 4 story garage but still. "Why are they all MV Augusta F3's?"

"Its the best looking bike in this town. As a pack with three alphas how can we not drive the best."

Since I couldn't refute them I just hopped on a red and silver bike grabbed the helmet on it and turned on the keys already in the ignition. Aiden pushed the button opening the door as I saw Ethan sneak back into to the kitchen. Anyways I wasn't going to keep paying them any attention I drove off heading out of the mansion gates at 70 mph I was about to kick up the throttle but then I had a ...feeling? I started slowing down before looking around and heading in another direction than my original plan.

One thing about Beacon County is that it's the home of a Nemeton, not a full tree mind you but it's still a Nemeton it will occasionally influence supernatural creatures towards each other in order to balance things out. You see as an Alpha who became an Alpha on my own born from two Alpha parents I'm much more attuned to the Nemetons around the world. I could find it if I want to but there's no need right now.

For example I needed a pack and what does the Nemeton do it arranged me to meet Erica a girl who readily and easily accepts the bite. And I'm not Derek trying to control three betas by myself on their first full moon. I got the twins as backup and i know how to use my spark to override theirs. So wherever I'm headed now must be important in some way.

I kept riding for about four minutes uptown until I was outside of this white picket fence house. My feeling told my I was here so I stopped the bike ride outside the driveway and got off, left my helmet but took the keys naturally, uptown area or not you don't need to be supernatural to be wary of thieves. Walking up to the fence I notice the whole garden looks nice, yet as i reached out for the little white gate that was locked from the inside I was blocked.

I pushed my hand forward for a few seconds and I really couldn't move forward, it took a second before realizing

"Seems like you recognize it?" The voice broke me out of my thoughts and I didn't know when the door to the house was opened but even more importantly this woman managed to walk all the way down the driveway and next to me without me noticing "Its called mountain ash and it's a great way to make sure 'guests' stay polite."

I look at the woman who was a bit shorter than me with long brown hair currently tied up in a bun, wearing a navy blue top and grey leggings. "Im sure you have questions, so let's talk inside."

Again the woman took the lead in the conversation yet I couldn't complain as she opened the fence and started walking back to her house, much slower than she had arrived. I don't hesitate to walk in behind her locking the gate back and suddenly felt i couldn't leave even if I wanted. So I followed her into the house and repeated the process to be relieved the house itself wasn't another barrier.

I head into the living room where I smelled her and wasn't too surprised to see a tea set for two sitting in place. "Oliver Grey, I believe its my turn to speak now, yea?" I sat across from the woman and made myself comfortable helping myself to tea and I asked "Nemeton brought me here, seeing you had tea set up that should be your handiwork right? So question now is?"

"What do I want?" The Woman picked up the conversation "Maybe just to chat. After all it's not everyday a pack of three Alphas move into town. Seeing as to how you had that nice mansion built in the past few months you should be planning to make this area a more permanent residence."

"I am indeed planning on sticking around. Will that be an issue Miss?"

"Marin Morrell, and issue? Probably not. You see this town already has quite the number of packs diving it Downtown is home to Satomi and her pack, Midtown belongs to the Hales and while they aren't currently gathered they are still very much alive, and that only leaves."

"Uptown where the two of us currently live Ms. Morrell. I've done my research on the neighborhood and I'm planning to get in touch with Satomi later today actually. The only concern I have now is finding out which of the Hales is the Alpha now" I casually answer her unasked question while letting her know what I currently need and talking to smart people is generally easy.

"If it's getting in contact with the Alpha of this generation I can probably help you there. I'm also a teacher at Beacon High, I can get you and the twins you want enrolled there. That blonde you were approaching goes there and it should easier for you to build a pack as well. The strength of the wolf is the pack after all. Even more so for a True Alpha."

I look Marin in the eye and neither of us broke eye contact and like I said talking with smart people is easy, she acknowledged she brought me here, showed off her talents and knowledge, standard interview because Druids need to have a pack. Not technically but wolves are easier to work with for druids than other supernatural, especially a young natural true alpha.

"Impressive. Very will Ms. Morrell, sign me up for this school of yours I'll start in January for the second term."

"Not August?"

"Too short of time. Now that we're in a partnership theres much to be done. I still have to contact Satomi and the Hale Alpha and set territory lines, build and train my pack, not to mention refitting my house."

"Well it's your choice, you're the Alpha. Pleasure to work with you Mr. Grey."

"Likewise Ms. Druid."
