(AN: Here's Bonus Chapter 2 Guys, seriously though. If we get to 50 power stones by Tuesday I'll write 2 normal chapters and an extra long Bonus Chapter, probably around 3000 words since anymore and I'd probably put it off and cry when I realize it's the day to upload it.
Time Rewind - 2 Months Ago
The developers of Yggdrasil just released a new area, a Beach more precisely, where fighting is restricted amongst players. Of course, that doesn't stop PKers from camping out outside the area and, as their name suggested, killing players. Then again, it's not Yggdrasil if there's not a monetary solution, entering PRIVATE REAL ESTATE! Which I bought with my own money.
Yeah, at first Momon-san didn't want to waste any of the guild's money until we settled our Guild Base, but no one could fight against me using my own money to purchase it on behalf of the guild. Today we were all going to go to the area I bought, and I have to say, I bought the most beautiful place, UNLIMITED MONEY FOR THE WIN, then again said money only lasts until the New World so… *nervously chuckles*. Sadly we can't use the Beach Estate as a Guild Base due to the restrictions the developers placed on Guild Bases.
Has to be in an area thats naturally accessible to players outside of your guild for raids.
This has the loophole of making the base inaccessible through traps and player made objects.
Has to be in a PvP area.
Then again the only real PvE locations are the Starting Zones for each world and now the Beaches.
So players can take, or make, pretty much whatever they want as their Guild Base. Some guilds take High Level Dungeons like we were planning too, others take small towns and villages. Both have their own Pros and Cons.
Dungeon Guild Bases are easier to protect due to the mobs that naturally spawn helping protect it, they don't attack anyone apart from the Guild that owns the Dungeon, allowing for lots of Low-Mid Level Canon Fodder as the Higher Level Mobs take longer to spawn. The levels of the mobs scale up with the difficulty of the dungeon, Nazarick being one of the most difficult dungeons. This comes with the Con of not having any "Resource" or "Work" Areas not already set up.
Village Guild Bases do, however, have "Resource" and "Work" Areas already set up, leading to faster production of items at the cost of being harder to defend. Sure Village Guards will help against raids but they are only around Level 25 - Level 50, which is one of the reasons why Higher Level PKers can get away with PKing so easily in towns.
Guilds can also make their own base leading it to be a completely fresh slate. The only benefit this has is an increased number of NPC Creation Tickets.
But, anyway, we were heading to the beach tomorrow. I was browsing through the stores looking for some cosmetics that would let me turn my armor into a bikini. Of course, there are bikini armors, but Yggdrasil relies on slight reality for the base armors. If it doesn't cover something, you take increased damage in that area. That doesn't extend to armor cosmetics though. Allowing someone to have a high level armor looks like anything they want. After scrolling through for a few more minutes I finally found one, it was expensive as fuck, but that's more than likely due to the update.
I instantly buy one as well as a few other items that catch my eye. By the end of it my total list equates to nearly a thousand. The system tells me that everything has been sent to my player inventory so I login. Arriving right inside my house of our temporary Guild Base, a village inside Niflheim hidden deep within the dead forest and cold mountains. I check my inventory and automatically equip the Bikini Cosmetic onto one of my 5 cosmetic slots. I only have 2 other cosmetic slots used.
The first one was a custom one that makes my Unholy Reverend look like it used to, this one is my active one since I preferred the look of the metal gauntlets then the bone gauntlets. It paired better with my weapons anyway. It also turned my Code Vein shirt into a crop top, I've always had a love for them, doesn't help that I look hot as fuck in them anyways. Adds bandoliers and turns my old pants into a black combat skirt with purple accents and thigh highs. Also have my book belt.
My next one looks like a generic school girl outfit. It has a customize function so I can change how it looks, with the base being the school girl outfit. I've broken Pero-san so many times with this outfit, and it never gets old.
Now is the time for me to customize my bikini. It's a bikini similar to the one that Astolfo from Fate wears, but obviously it's black and purple. As soon as it's set I switch to my main outfit, gonna leave my swimsuit as a surprise, and head out where everyone is gathering to the teleport location where I'll take everyone to my Beach Estate.
I arrive there and see about 20 of the members waiting for me in their swimming cosmetics. As soon as they see me, Buku-chan rushes out and scoops me up in a giant hug while Momon-san and Pero-san follow after her, snickering at her antics. I look around and notice that Touch-san isn't here.
"So this is the amount of people who are coming? Where's Touch-san? I thought he was coming with me?"
Momon-san: "He was but he got called into work today so he can't come."
Pero-san: "Yeah, he seemed really bummed out. He logged on quick to tell us that he couldn't come before instantly logging out."
"Huh, alright, let's go everyone!"
*Cheers from the members of Ainz Ooal Gown*
I instantly activate the group teleport, taking all the members who were with me to the Beach House, wel, House is putting it mildly. It's a castle on a cliffside overlooking a beautiful lake with a trail going down to the beach. I send Momon-san, Pero-san, and Buku-san a key so they can access the house whenever they want. I was going to send Touch-san a key but decided I'd give it to him when he next gets online.
Everyone switches their cosmetics and soon enough, there's ~20 Heteromorphic Players in various swimsuits. Pero-san, and Momon-san are wearing casual swimsuits that have matching colors to their Player Model. Buku-chan put on her Doppelring, looking like an adult version of Mare and Aura, while wearing a Brown Bikini with Forest Green highlights. The three of them look to me and Buku-chan instantly hugs me again, rubbing her players cheek on mine while Pero-san is smashing his head against the wall with the message [0 DMG] appearing for every hit and Momon-san is laughing at him.
We all walk down the path to the beach and most run into the lake. There's a splashes of water as people send waves towards those who decided to stay on the beach and play with the sand. I'm sitting under the water with my eyes open, looking for where Buku-chan is. One benefit about being a partial undead is that I don't need to breathe, so I can stay under the water for an indefinite amount of time.
After a few minutes I spot her in the deep end, kicking her legs so she stays afloat, I look and see she's talking to Momon-san who's on the pier. He hasn't gotten in because of the Skeleton Race Debuffs which makes it so he can't swim without a floatie. I swim down underneath Buku-chan since she's in an area almost 20 ft deep and touch the lake bed. I push my legs with enough strength to get to her, grabbing her legs as I hear her muffled screams before activating a skill that makes me heavier, causing me to sink while still holding on to her. Since her true race is some sort of slime she can breathe in the water. She looks down at me and sees my smiling face as a light blush covers her own as I let her go.
She kicks back up to the surface as I arrive next to her and starts playfully hitting my shoulder. Well, when I say playfully, she's hitting me hard enough that a Level 10 would die in 2 hits…
The entire guild continues to enjoy the beach, the Dive Equipment providing the experiences of touch and other senses making it seem more realistic. Before we know it, it's around 8, the sun is setting in Niflheim and most of the players have to get off for work tomorrow. Around 9 the only ones left are Momon-san, Buku-chan, and Pero-san as we all sit on a beach around a bonfire singing songs. I know it's all virtual, but… it makes me feel happy… knowing that I have friends.
At 10 Momon-san had to get off, leaving just Pero-san, Buku-chan and me. At 11 Pero-san had to get off. I asked Buku-chan why she didn't have to get off, and she told me that she worked from home. I get up and bring out my companion [Ghost] Sheath, as well as my [Nightmares]. Barak, Bezalel, and Helem. I ask Sheath to play some slow music while mentally telling Bezalel to get into a position that we had predetermined yesterday after I bought the place.
I offer my hand to Buku-chan as the music starts playing. My armor switches to the main form as Buku-chan's own armor switches to a white summer dress. She grabs my arms as we start to dance slowly to the music. After 10 minutes of dancing, we get interrupted by the sound of fireworks going off across the lake. I send a mental thank you to Bezalel and get a nod of acknowledgment as he returns to my shadow. Helem lifts both of us up in his hand and sits us on his left shoulder so we have a better view, being over 7 feet off the ground. Bezalel reappears under us, sitting on the ground as Barak lands on Helem's other shoulder. Sheath is still playing slow music but I can tell he's also watching the fireworks.
Me and Buku-chan sway to the music as we watch the fireworks as a light rain starts, putting out the fire and as the last firework launches, Buku-chan mutters a silent thank you, as a tear rolls down her avatar's face before logging out. Sometimes I forget how this world isn't real.
I lay back and relax, laying on one of Hemel's legs while Bezalel lays down next to me. I stare up at the moon, before passing out.
