Seduced by danger

Oh so she was going to just come out and say it, then? Vice shot Davi a wide-eyed look, unsure of what to say next.

Davi on the other hand, had it all figured out, "Let me get your medication for you, ma'am."

He breezed through Melissa's comment and went straight to her bedside table. She threw her head back in a throaty laugh, the tray over her legs shook.

Vice knelt by her side and held one of the handles. If it all ended up spilled on the floor they were the ones who'd have to clean it.

He smiled helpfully up at her, and it only made her laugh harder.

When Davi brought her the pills and a glass of water, she took both without protest, but the laughter didn't subside.

There was something uncanny and disturbing about the sound, it made Vice's hair stand on end.

"You don't believe me, of course you don't believe me. Who would think a father could kill his own son?"
