Party Part 1 Power and Prepartions

The next day Max was in the kitchen still in his pj's. It was about 8 in the morning. Poor start for most but not him. Sundays were the day to do whatever he wanted. The beginning of the week should always start that way.

*Whistle!* The tea kettle screamed on the stove. The steam drifted out of the window.

"Ahhh, morning." Mana came in. Not really awake it seems. For she was dressed in a teddy and panties. "Is.. there any coffee?"

"Oh yeah. Already on the table." Max said staring appreciatively. Human Demon Hybrids always had a certain charm to them. She was no different in that regard. "How long are you planning on staying disguised as a student in Mahora anyway?"

"As long as I want. Even more so now that I have a sugar daddy like you." Mana cocked an eyebrow and looked Max over. She moved over slowly for him to move his hands. "Like what you see teach?" She sat down facing him. His hands went behind stirring his tea.

To any observer, it looked like lovers embracing. Observers such as Kaede and Evangeline thought so. They stood out in the living room not moving.

"If I am your sugar daddy, that means I can do whatever I want to you. Is that the case?" Max didn't break eye contact. He wanted to see how far she would go with this little teasing. He knew the others were watching and didn't care in the least. "Is everything on the menu perhaps?"

*Lick!* Max's tongue licked against her collarbone.

"Umm, you think you have the balls?" Mana shuddered and moaned. She just wanted to mess with Max just a little. Never thinking he would do anything. 'I can feel it under me. This might have been a bad idea.' Sweat dripped down her forehead as she started to squirm a little. "I.. teachers shouldn't play with students like this!"

"Who is playing?" Max gave her an innocent smile. His left hand cupped her face while his right continued to stir his tea. "You are an adult so adult things can happen between us. In fact.." He gave her a few kisses up her neck. Stopping right at her lips. ".. I look forward to it."

*Knock Knock!* Someone was at the main door to the house. That startled Kaede and Evangeline from the dazzling scene. But couldn't pry their eyes away from those in the kitchen, however.

Evangeline even had a bit of a nosebleed.

"The.. door.. I should.." Mana stammered feeling her blood boil. Her demon magic striving makes her feel restless. "yeah... I should..."

"You should do what makes you feel good. It is what I do." Max had moved to whisper in her ear. He made eye contact with Evageline and Kaede. Giving them both a wink. "Such beautiful ears you have."

*Nibble.* A small little bite to the bottom was too much for Mana. She got up and bolted upstairs in a flash.

"And just like that.. the magic is gone." He gestured for Kaede to answer the door. She moved over slowly. Quite startled about what she had seen. Eyes wide open for once as well. "Well.. that was fun. She even left my lap wet." Max smirked as he cleaned Mana's wetness off. A simple spell as he went to drink his tea and eat breakfast. "Such a good morning."

"Haa, how long have you known she was older than she appeared?" Evangeline asked.

"About the same time, I knew you were who you were. Demon blood has the habit of slowing down aging among other things." Max sipped his tea. Evangeline took a seat across from him. She took note of the different spots that had plates down already. To Max's right and his left. Two more at the far left and the spot where she took. "What is it?"

"Usually the head of the table would set at the short ends. But.. you are in the middle of the long end. Why?"

"Something for you to think about. Let me know when you have a good guess for why." Max looked at the two guests that knocked. Kaede moves to sit on his left. "Asuna, Setsuna, and Konoka what could you possibly want this fine morning?"

"Morning Mr.Max," Konoka said politely. "A bunch of us want to throw you a party at the school. A welcoming party even though you may only be here for a little while. We just want to show our warmest welcome."

"I see. What time?" Max looked at her with a little interest.

"Around 6. Perfect time for a late lunch or early dinner." Asuna said quickly. "A lot of food will be there, and with you just eating breakfast it should be perfect for you."

"Hmmm, on one condition." Max turned to Setsuna "Show your wings or show your feelings. Either one will suffice."

"What!?" The group they said togethor.

"Hiding.. it will bring nothing but endless pain to you and those you care about. Be a little honest, it goes a long way." Max sipped his tea as he waited. Setsuna started to tremble on the spot. 'Haa, nothing like young romance. Such turmoil stirred up. I can see the mana flowing around into the formations in my house correctly.'

"I.." Setsuna stammered. More embarrassed than her usual stoic self. She came just as a defense in case something bad happened. Not to have this happen. 'I cannot tell her! What if she says no?! What if she thinks I am disgusting?!'

"Max, what kind of teacher does things like this to his students?!" Asuna asked angrily. Mana had made it back downstairs more appropriately dressed. She sat next to Max's right drinking her coffee she left. "Why not just agree to come and not cause trouble?"

"Asuna quiet down. You can all just leave. Not a big deal for me to come is it? You can make an excuse of your own choosing. The best thing to say is, I was too busy." Max waved the little hot head down. The swirling emotions produce more Mana for him. Mana's eyes dilated as she felt it come from sitting next to him.

"Is there anything else we can do?" Konoka asked somewhat disappointed. From what, even she didn't know. 'I feel so uneasy. Am I that bothered by this? I do not like seeing Setsuna so upset. But I would like to see her wings again. I will know it was not a dream that one time I saw them.'

"No. Not at this time." Max finished his tea and switched to water. "Oh, before I forget. Here for you Konoka. It is a.. well you will figure it out."

*Boop!* A white book appeared. On the cover was a swan and a woman below. The swan's scattered feathers were all over the place. On the back side was a reverse of the picture. The woman was up top, tears falling down to the swan that lay limply.

"What is this?" Konoka asked. Her fingers moved across the lifted engravings. "Ave Ave Amor et amantes."

"That is a very weird name for a spell book. Are you sure it is appropriate for her to read?" Evangeline knew what the words meant. The light magic that eased off from the coverings was something that made her feel sad for some reason. "She is a minor after all."

"Of course. The focus of the story was for someone younger than her." Max went to eat his food before it got too cold. He said nothing else as the trio left. Asuna grumbled slightly.

"Max, do you really think they like each other like that?" Kaede asked after the door closed. She couldn't wait till he finished eating. "So young and having their sexuality bared out, might not be a good thing."

"They do. Konoka is weighed down by tradition so she is more than confused about it. Which is fine. The teenage years are the best time to figure shit out. Best time to be selfish. As for Setsuna.. she is head over heels for her. Just lacks confidence." Max fixed his food and floated the dishes into the sink. "Blame her shitty clan for not understanding the representation of her wings' meaning."

"So she is not a curse?" Kaede asked. Max just shook his head no. He pulled out a book and started reading from it. The title is intelligible even to him. "Then why not tell her that?"

"It would do no good. Max has no standing with them or much of the school for that matter. His words carry no weight. I know a way to change that." Mana said slyly at the end. "How about it?"

"I did not plan on doing anything till next Sunday. After you two trained a little more. A little bounty hunting for resources is the aim." He looked Kaede over and Mana once more. They could hold their own but that did not mean safety. Just meant in a normal situation they could stay alive. 95% of the time that was not enough. "No, we will go next week. Go do stuff on your own if you want. Do not expect me to bail you out."

"I am not going anywhere. That monster book you showed me was proof enough of how much of ways I have to go. I am going to train a little more instead of risking it. I almost have my mana at a high enough level to move a mountain." Kaede said lowly. The idea she was not strong enough was a reminder of how far she had to go. "It is just a millimeter but it is something."

"Better than I was when I first tried it. Took me a year to get that far." Max said. His fingers moved to fill his water back up. "A lot better actually. Remember to contemplate on what you learn. The only way to really understand where you went wrong. Or have a master look it over with you."

"So.. you." Kaede grabbed his hand and sped them away. "Bye!"

*Scatter!* Leaves fell where Max and she recently sat.

*Wobble!* The glass of water lifted up and floated towards the training area. It was a spell Max had placed on it for when he studied. He had the habit of leaving drinks everywhere not paying attention.

"Haaa, that girl is really excited," Evangeline commented. She looked over towards Mana. "So.. how did it feel having him touch you like that?"

"Pffft!" Mana spat her coffee across the table embarrassed. "You saw that huh?" She looked away not making eye contact. "It.. was.. just a joke.."

"I do not think he was joking." Evangeline sipped her tea and was grateful she sat across from Max instead of sitting in the other spot. Getting drenched by Mana was not the most pleasant of things in the morning. "Wait.. he said you left him wet. Did you.."

*Fwoosh!* Mana shot across the table covering her mouth.

"Evangeline, how about we keep this to ourselves ok?" Mana had a very nervous look on her face. "No reason we two women can not look out for each other." She nodded at her. Slowly moving back, Mana sat back down.

"But what about Kaede? She saw everything to." Mana sulked a little. "Haa, it will remain a secret. Just help get him to the party later today."

"Alright, I know of a way. But it is risky." Mana agreed with the request of the little vampire devil. "Wait you are a good bit taller. How much longer before you stop?"

"If you must know, about two weeks. I will grow a total of 3 inches till I understand the next part of the spell." Evangeline grumbled slightly. "That brat.. no that stingy Max is not very forthcoming unless he is getting something out of it."

Konoka and Asuna just made it to were the party would take place. Setsuna had excused herself to go home for something. Before Asuna could say anything to the others she was stopped.

"Wait Asuna!" Nodoka grabbed her and showed the text mail on her phone. "Evangeline said she has it covered. So Max will be here at 6 or so."

"How did she manage it?" Asuna didn't think her mean old cousin would change his mind.

"I have know idea." Konoka shrugged. "She didn't really say. But at least this won't be a waste." She put the phone away and clutched the book tightly. She wanted to read it as soon as possible for some reason. "I am going to go relax for a little. Then come back and help."

Konoka shot off before Asuna could say anything. Leaving several of them blinking in wonder. They never saw her move so quickly before.

"Is everything ok?" Ayaka came over slightly worried. Leave it to the class rep to catch every problem. Asuna gave her a small nod. "Well, if you are on top of it, no need for us to worry. What did he say?'

"Eh, he didn't agree at first. Made an excuse kind of." Asuna did not want to say what happened. Out of respect for Konoka's feelings. So she just said what came to mind instead. "But Evangeline said he will be here. So do not worry."

"Right. How are you doing though? Did you ask him more about your family?"

"No. I... am going to wait a little more. Right now, I am going to enjoy school and try to get my grades up." Asuna gave a forceful smile. She was not fooling any of them. "What is it?"

"Nothing." Ayaka smiled and turned away. "Nodoka is not your only friend you know." She walked off busing herself with the party. Most of the others followed suit.
