"My family used to celebrate it when I was a little kid, but when my parents died, no one else did afterwards...Despite how busy they were, my parents made time to gather us around the same table...New years was our favorite holiday.

As for Thanksgiving, I have not celebrated it or any other holiday again since I was seven...my sister and I do not do anything much together anymore, I barely get to see Mallory around." Muriel Said while twirling his Noddles.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Thorn replied, "You have no reason to say that but thank you Sugar, I am happy just knowing Mallory is alive, I cannot afford to lose anyone else."

"I'm sorry to say something like this, but I envy you a little, My family never ever gathered around the same table, like I said before...my parents used to visit on my birthday and they haven't done that in years.

As for Thanksgiving, it's not in My traditions to celebrate it either...I Don't like thanksgiving as holiday, it's historically a bad day for lotta people." Thorn replied taking another bite of his chicken.

He made them Peanut chicken with noddles for brunch, after he ended-up sleeping until 1pm, and now it was sometime after 2pm.

"Neddie does not celebrate much either according to him, but he is not against his kids doing so." Muriel said, "I don't trust that guy a lot, I mean Ned.

But I have to admit, I get jealous of how loved he is... he's immortal and crazy rich, but his kids never move out of the house." Thorn replied.

"I understand why Jasper sticks around, he is tied-up with work, but Jade appears to me more of the free kind, she is a lot like my sister."

"I almost forgot to ask you, you said Soco came here when I was still asleep, what was that about?" Thorn asked.

"Coco? she came Around 11am, right when I tried to wake you up the first time.

She gave me one of her infamous 'Resignation letter' threats and drank lemonade with me...Then we talked about work and my health." Muriel replied.

"Right, we have a problem with the main roles...seems like nobody is up to do the job."

"We have a possible solution, Norma Kelly."

"Oh? she would be perfect for the night owl character!"

Sighting as he finished his plate, Thorn leaned back on his chair "You know babe, I'm so tired of work."

"When did you ever work to get tired of it?" Muriel replied teasing him, "Baaaaabe C'mon! I seriously hate working! just like I hated school and homework back in the days! the only thing fun at that time was the music class and playing a nice football game with my classmates." Thorn Said.

"Football as in American football?" Muriel asked, "No not that babe, real football! the sport some people here call soccer!"

"You play soccer! me too!" Muriel's eyes sparkled as he said that.

"Wait, you don't say? why you never told me about that?!" Thorn Asked.

"It's my sister's thing actually! it has been a long while since I played a game, I used to play with Mallory but she is not interested anymore."

"I wish we can play today! if it wasn't dangerous for you to play in your condition." Thorn said filled with sadness.

His disappointment was cut short when his phone buzzed, signaling he received a notification.

"Yurei?!" he said as soon as he saw the message that was sent to him, a picture of Yurei balancing a soccer ball on his head "When did HE get my number?"

Muriel nervously chuckled causing Thorn to raise an eyebrow at him, "I gave him and Tacito, our numbers...Sorry sugar."

"Babe...ugh, I guess I can't get mad at you." Thorn said checking the caption on the image Yurei sent, "Wanna play, Father-in-law." Thorn read the caption.

"Huh? father-in-law?" Muriel said tilting his head in confusion.

"A creepy title Yurei kept addressing me with, THE FUCK he means by playing a game? did he read my thoughts or something? how come he suggested a football game when we just talked about the subject?"

"This is strange indeed, maybe we should see him."

"I wish I can go to another party like yesterday's!"

"Jade? did you hear what I said?"

"What Garrick?"

"Is everything alright? you've been out of it ever since you said your brother wouldn't text you." Garrick asked her, Jade the loudest girl in the room was silent and withdrawn during training, and it worried him.

"I'm just thinking." she replied, "About what Jade?"

"Let me ask you a question Rickie, if it's okay?" Nodding at her, " Yeah! go ahead!" Garrick said.

"Do you believe like in... I don't know? past lives?" Jade Asked, "That reincarnation or resurrection thing that lotta people talked about?" he Said to which Jaded nodded to.

"I guess, kind of! one of the people who took care of me in the orphanage, was actually a Buddhist lady...she was a very kind but very strange lady, and she always talked about this past lives stuff, like non-stop!

she once said something about those who die unfortunate deaths or don't live a happy fulfilling lives, will get another shot at life after their deaths...It's like pressing 'Replay' or something, which kinda sounds like something out of a video game system." Garrick replied.

"You seem a little skeptical." Jade Said, "I'm kinda put-off by you suddenly asking me if I believe in past lives." he replied.

"Ok, let's sort things out!

Rickie, I'll give you a scenario, and imagine yourself being the protagonist of it, I want to know how you would react to it."

"Oh A little game? go for it! although I should remind you Jade, people often tend to say that they gonna react a certain way, but in reality, if they were placed in those situations, there's a big chance they aren't gonna react exactly as they said they would."

She continued, "There's many reasons...Anyways, You see this 'Father' almost every day, he made his way into your life so suddenly without him realizing he did so."

"How is this scenario even possible? is this related to the past lives question?"

"Let me finish...you're not sure whether you should approach your supposed father and tell him the truth about him being your father."

"This scenario is a little specific, have You found your father Jade?" Garrick Asked her with a serious expression, "It's obvious you're the real protagonist of the scenario, not me." he added.

"Playing games with you is pointless...yeah, I did find him, I'm sure it's him, my mom kinda confirmed it to us." Jade replied.

Feeling a little jealous, "Ned did so? then what seems to be the problem? is Ned against you talking to him?" Garrick asked.

"That's only half of the problem, Mom wants to be the person who breaks the news to our father about me and Jasper... but at the same time it's fucking hard you know? mom's taking his time while my mind is being grilled, I mean how am I supposed to keep my mouth shut when I see this person almost everyday?" she said.

Giving her an encouraging smile despite his confusion, "Ned hasn't told me about this and I can't really blame him for it, we're pretty new together and it's kind of a personal matter to talk with your new thing about your ex...I'm not part of your family yet to give you an opinion on it... but-" Garrick said before he got cut off by Jade, "But what Rickie?"

"Jade... I told you this before that I've lived in an orphanage, I never knew who my parents were But if there was a chance for me to meet them or talk to them, I wouldn't wait no matter what.

This is my life, I'm not sure when it's gonna end, I mean I could die tomorrow and regret not doing it, so fuck it!...I'll do what I gotta do! and in your case, go talk to your dad! even if he doesn't believe, you'll have some of the burden you're carrying off your shoulders." Garrick Said.

"It's a big risk, and I don't dream of him believing me.

But I want to be ready, if my father doesn't believe me, what am I gonna do?" Jade Asled.

Smiling at her "Jade dear listen, does it fucking matter if he believes you?

I don't know what happened that your dad isn't in your life, but it takes fucking courage to walk-up to someone and tell them what you're about to say...it doesn't matter if he believes you, you have something that's weighting heavy on your shoulders, and you need to get rid of it...do it for you own sake Jade!" Garrick replied.

For a moment, Jade felt like crying, but she composed herself, "You're right! it doesn't fucking matter, it's my life after all."

Feeling Victorious, Garrick gave her a thumbs-up " That's the fucking Spirit girl! fighting!

Once you talk to him, tell me how it went down, okay!" he said, praising himself internally for the pep talk he gave.

Jade remained silent for few seconds just smiling, and Garrick smiled back at her.

But After mentally preparing herself "So...dad, do you think it's weird that I'm older than you?" Jade casually said to him without a warning, causing Garrick's smile to drop.

"I'm sorry, you said what?!" Garrick asked, he wasn't sure he heard things right.

"I'm shooting my shot bro! you're the one who told me to confront my dad!" she replied.

Thinking this was just a prank "I said your dad's not me? you didn't tell me we're training for the big day!" Garrick said, "We're not playing, this is real! you are my fucking dad And I bet if we take a DNA test right now, it would say I'm your fucking daughter in Capital letters!" she replied.

Hearing her words, Garrick paused for a second, he thought if she's being serious, what if what she said was possible?

Angry and bummed at the results of their conversation, "If you don't fucking believe me! try confronting Mom with it, see how he's going to react when he knows That you know the truth." Jade replied stomping away.

"Hey! where you going now? Jade! you can't possibly expect me to believe this without a proper explanation?" he called after her.

"I told you to talk to fucking mom! I'm not the one who gave birth to me, fucking bullshit!" she replied again before continuing on her way.
