Chapter 29: Suits world

Wow, getting my ass handed to me multiple times like it was nothing definitely humble me a little.

So what if I have knowledge, with no combat experience, life saving methods and trump cards I am going to die in the battlefield.

The Professor even said that he held back, and the level he was dueling at was at the level of 5th year students, who have roughly 5 years experience in dueling.

So now, I am definitely more excited for the tournament.

Right now I am buying an expensive suit, to make a good impression. From what I know, Donna and Harvey will first judge me based on what I am wearing. Jessica will judge me probably based on the amount of business I might bring her firm, and Mike, will depending on which timeframe of Mile, I will just be chill with him.

Well, these are all just for first impressions. Anyway, after buying my suit, I made my way to 'Pearson Hardmen' via taxi.

By now, all the top law firms in the world are probably trying to contact me to ask me to let them represent me. I know for a fact Edward Darby will contact me because we are from the same country. I also think Robert Zane, from Rand Kaldor Zane, will contact me. Bratton Gould will also probably contact me, and many others will as well.

It's evening right now, 7pm, so the less hard-working people are leaving the building. I also coincidently spotted one of the main cast going back up after grabbing some coffee. Rachel Zane.

I am prepared this time, more so then with Hermoine, so I didn't freak out.

I have to say, the show doesn't do her beauty justice.

I didn't know the exact floor of the place, and instead of asking around, I just followed her.

(I really don't know what floor, for now I am gonna say 27, If people know it, just mention it in the comments, it's not a big thing anyway.)

I walked in right behind her, having an office bag on my shoulder, with nothing but a laptop, a few books, and details about my plans.

I brought the books, because I know Harvey Spector doesn't like meeting people he didn't schedule with beforehand, so he is probably gonna make me wait.

I just went and stood beside Rachel, and since she did not see me pressing any floors on the elevator, she probably got curious and asked," Which floor to?"

"Same as yours," I just replied.

She looked puzzled, and after pressing on the 27th floor, she asked," You here to meet your parents?" Since I only looked 14, she probably thought her parents asked me to meet them here.

'Seriously? If I was just meeting my parents would I wear a $4000 suit?' I thought and just said," Nope, here for something else."

I looked into her eyes to read her surface thought,' Weird, I don't think I saw anyone in the firm who has such white hair, it even looks natural. Anyway, I still need to leave after packing up, I am excited for the little food testing I have with Mike later. I am going to make sure he selects the best food for the rookie dinner.'

Wow, rookie dinner, it must mean that Harvey is still looking to solve the Mckernon motors mess by replacing Stensland with Dominic. Well, he probably will not be in the mood to talk to me right now, but I don't really give a fuck.

As we reached the 27th floor, I walked up the receptionist and asked," Hi, may I know where Jessica Pearsons office is?"

She typed something on her computer and replied," I am sorry, do you have an appointment with Miss Pearson? She doesn't have any right now."

Now, I don't have one, but I can use magic. The reason I can use magic outside the School grounds is because Dumbledore made it so, Hermoine, Harry and I can use magic to practice spells outside of school grounds. He did warn us about abusing magic, but like that was going to stop me. And I am so happy without the 'trace.' I will find a way to bypass it later.

Plus it is really easy to charm muggles, so I just made direct eye contact with her, and used a little of magic and said," No, but I am just asking for the directions to the office, no need for an appointment right?"

She just nodded and wrote down the directions to her office.

After walking for a while I saw the name,' Jessica Pearson,' and below it, it was 'Managing Partner.'

I knocked on the door and just stood there.

She looked at me and seemed to immediately recognize me, well I am hot topic right now.

"Well well, it seems like the youngest genius of the century Shawn Markus is here himself. Please tell me Mr. Markus to what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you." She said while getting off her seat, and sitting down on the sofa in her office while inviting me to do the same.

I immediately started to respect her, why? She wasn't fazed when I saw her, in fact she seemed to have expected it, and she didn't treat me like a child so far, she treated me like an adult.

I took her offer and sat opposite her while putting my bag down and asked," You don't seemed surprised that I am here in your firm."

"Well, I heard you were looking for firms to represent you, and I thought if you were as smart as they say you would soon come to Pearson Hardmam."

"Well you are right, I did come here looking for someone to represnt me, after all, I going to start a few companies from scratch, and I need someone to do the grunt work, helping me to build the company and taking care of the legal side of things." I looked straight at her, and she didn't seem to be offended that her firm will have to do my companies grunt work.

"Well that is true it can be difficult to start a company from scratch, but the question is the price, what type of Lawyer are you looking for.?" She asked smiling. I wouldn't call her a greedy person, she cares for the firm first no matter what, so that's why everything is on money.

She was probably expecting to reply,' A Junior Partner or Senior Partner,' but nah.

"I am only looking at Harvey Spector, I heard he is the best closer in the city." I said while smiling.

"Well you have done your research well, Harvey is one of the best, but I have to say he is costly, and he was recently promoted to Senior Partner, so his price has gone up." She replied while showing her huge smile.

"Money isn't really an issue, I just want the best you have, and if it's fine I hope to meet him right now." I said while smiling.

"Well, let's see what we can do, I have court to get to, so just go straight down the hall and you should see a lovely blond secretary by the name of Donna, and you can set an appointment with her," she said while smiling.

I was surprised because I didn't think she was the type to let a kid walk around her office without help, so I looked into her thoughts and I wanted to laugh.

'I need to get Harvey down here right now, we cannot lose a big client like this.'

Well, seems like she wants me to go alone so I can go to the office slowly and call Harvey to come back from wherever he was.

But this was nice, I get to talk to Donna.

I quickly made my way down to see one beautiful Donna Paulsen working in front of Harvey's office.

'Yeah, this will be a long but nice night.'
