"The Enigmatic Girl"

"Lily, here is your uniform along with some bags and school supplies. Don't worry," said Balqis.

"Thank you," replied Lily with a warm smile.

Navies returned to school, now with Lily. Lily wanted to go with him, but Navies tried to refuse, saying his bike didn't have a passenger seat. Suddenly, one of the servants said, "Excuse me, Master Navies, here is a bicycle from Mr. Kein, I mean, your father. It's a two-seater bike."

Internally, Navies felt annoyed. "What is that old man up to?" He thought. Finally, Navies agreed to go with Lily, while Balqis felt a bit irritated because she couldn't enjoy going to school with Navies due to Lily's presence.

"Sigh," Navies exhaled. "It's pink?" He was slightly annoyed.

"Yes, I asked Mr. Kein for it. Don't be mad at him," Lily said with a cute face.

The bicycle had pedals for two people, front and back. "Let's go, we'll be late," said Navies, looking at his watch. "Use your legs properly."

"Hmmm," Lily smiled teasingly at Navies.

Lily was amazed by the morning atmosphere, with the beautiful sunrise, gentle breeze, and fresh air. The sight of sprawling gardens and vegetable fields was breathtaking. "Do you like it?" asked Navies, glancing back.

Lily nodded with a sweet smile.

"If you like it, you can play there and pick fruits and vegetables as you wish. It's all mine," said Navies proudly.

"Yapp, Mr. Kein is so kind, thank you Mr. Kein," said Lily.

"Haaa Mr. Kein?" Navies was slightly irritated. "You should be grateful; it's your father who provided all these facilities."

Navies shook his head and looked forward, continuing to pedal. The city streets were busy because it was a workday. "Rendra didn't come; he probably got drunk last night and overslept this morning. If his parents find out, he's doomed," Navies thought with a smile.

"Why is this hill so hard to climb? It's usually not like this," Navies panted, struggling to pedal up the hill. "What are you doing, Lily? Pedal harder," Navies looked back. "Haa, what are you doing?" Navies was visibly annoyed and angry. "You're not pedaling?"

"Haa, I'm a girl, you should be pedaling," said Lily.

Navies was getting more irritated. He took a deep breath. "Lily, you asked to come with me..."

Plakkk, the bike chain broke, and the bike lost balance, rolling backward.

"Ahhh," screamed Lily. They fell, but Navies quickly jumped and grabbed Lily's body. They lay on the asphalt. Navies' elbow was injured, and Lily's sleeve was slightly torn from the sharp asphalt.

"Are you okay?" Navies asked with great concern.

"Yes, I'm fine. Your shirt is torn," said Lily. "It's not good to go to school like this." Navies took off his jacket and put it on Lily. Lily was speechless at Navies' gesture, unable to say or do anything. She just stayed silent.

"Are you okay?" Navies asked again.

Lily snapped out of her daze, "Ahh yes, I'm fine." "Let's stand up," said Navies. "Ahh, your elbow is bleeding," Lily held Navies' hand. "Ahh, right, I didn't realize," said Navies, looking at his elbow.

Quickly, Lily took a small scarf from her neck and wrapped it around Navies' wound, cleaning it a bit. Navies was briefly stunned by Lily's action. He started to realize that Lily also had a warm side to her.

"There," said Lily after tying Navies' arm neatly. "Let's go, we'll be late," said Lily. They were lucky the school was nearby. They walked, pushing the bike together, chatting and laughing until they reached the school.

Everyone was surprised to see Lily walking with Navies, pushing a bike. Sera, who was nearby, watched from a distance. As they passed by, Navies tried to greet her. "Good morning, Sera," Navies greeted with a smile. Sera did not look back, remained silent, and walked to class. Navies was a bit confused about what was happening.

On the second floor of the school building, in the teacher's office near the window, Balqis watched Navies and Lily walking together. She was very upset and jealous seeing Lily wearing Navies' jacket. She clenched her fist so hard that her tumbler cracked. Balqis was not an ordinary girl and had an important duty to protect and serve Navies.

The classroom atmosphere was as usual, with social status differences between the rich and the poor still evident. However, there was something different today: Mada did not come to school. Everyone in the class was surprised and curious about what was going on between Navies and Lily. Interestingly, Lily's behavior was a bit better than before, although she still liked to boss her classmates around. "Maybe if I talk to her, she will change that attitude," thought Mada.

Navies went to his desk and saw Sera, his close friend who once helped him when Mada caused trouble. Sera's cold and intimidating face looked at Navies with an angry expression. Navies was a bit confused and did not know why Sera was acting that way.

The atmosphere became awkward. Sera did not say a word, even though she was usually cheerful and always greeted him in the morning. Navies tried to greet her, "Sera, how was the fruit we picked last time? Did your mom like it?" Sera remained silent. "Are you mad at me?" Navies asked, confused. "Even though I don't know what made you angry, I'm sorry." Sera still remained silent, and she took something out of her bag. A box containing a sandwich complete with vegetables and fruits inside, she handed it to Navies with a still angry face.

"This is for me?" Navies asked. Sera nodded with her angry face, which looked a bit cute. Navies smiled, "Thank you, I will enjoy it. Hmmm, this is very delicious, you're very good at making food. I like it."

Hearing those words, Sera's expression slightly changed. "Really?" Sera asked. "Hmm," Navies nodded with a smile. Sera then smiled sweetly. From the other side of the classroom, Lily watched with irritation. "Ugh," one of the girls who was combing her hair asked, "Did I do something wrong?" she asked a bit scared.

"Ahhh no, just continue," said Lily, a bit annoyed seeing Navies and Sera smiling at each other.

The long lessons of the day finally ended. Since Rendra did not come, Navies felt a bit lonely. Usually, they always did a lot of things after school. Lily said goodbye because she did not want her father to worry for too long.

"Lily, let me walk you..." Navies' voice trailed off as he saw Sera staring sharply at him. "Ahhhh, I mean see you tomorrow morning, you too Sera."

They both smiled at Navies, who then scratched his head. Balqis was seen coming out of the building and approaching Navies. "Let's go home," Navies invited.

"Ahh, you still remember me and need a companion to go home, I thought you didn't need me anymore, did Lily leave you?" Balqis' jealous face was evident.

Navies just smiled. "What are you talking about, you'll always be by my side, we promised to protect each other." Navies patted Balqis' head, who looked shy and her face turned red. "Come on, let's go home," Navies invited. "Ask the servants to pick up this bike, today we'll take a taxi."

The mansion's atmosphere returned to normal. Balqis returned to her room, which Lily had previously used. At the dinner table, Navies invited Balqis to eat with him. He understood from Balqis' face that she felt jealous when Navies invited Lily to eat with him.

"Master Navies, do you know the man who attacked us last time? We managed to identify him; he is from the Aratsun police special detachment."

"I was very surprised, why is the government targeting us?" asked Navies.

"I don't know either, maybe it's a misunderstanding or someone really wants to target me. Let's just wait and see."

"Master Navies," with a slightly worried face, "I am one of the servants who often shopped for groceries with Miss Lily. I contacted one of my friends who works at her house, Miss Lily has not returned home, I am worried."

Navies tried to calm her, "Maybe Lily went to a friend's house or planned to go home when her father returns from work."

Balqis quickly grabbed her laptop, "Master Navies, I placed a tracker in Lily's school uniform, just in case after the attack yesterday. I suspected they might target your close ones."

"You're right," said Navies.

Balqis used her laptop skillfully, pressing the enter key hard. "I found her location, she is at a villa near the western mountains of the city. The villa seems to belong to Lily's mother. Did she go there and choose not to go home?"

Navies pondered, holding his head, thinking. Then he opened his phone and called Lily but it was not active. "Balqis, contact Aiko Suzuki,

 ask her security company to send five people to accompany me. I don't want to attract attention, use casual clothes, no firearms or sharp weapons."

"Alright, I understand," and Balqis immediately made the call.

"Master Navies, Aiko Suzuki's leader wants to join you too."

"No need, I don't want to trouble her."

"Ahh alright."

Two black cars crossed the old city, Balqis and five people from Aiko Suzuki headed to the mountains. Balqis felt somewhat confident, just wanting to make sure, "Master Navies, what exactly is happening?"

Calmly, Navies answered, "It seems Lily's mother wants to get rid of her."

"Why would her mother do that?"

Navies answered briefly, "She is her stepmother."

Navies' phone rang, it was a call from Sera. "Why is Sera calling at this hour, it's unusual," thought Navies. Navies immediately answered, "Navies don't ignore her, I'm fine..." Sera's voice was cut off, and he could hear her muffled scream as if her mouth was covered with a cloth.

"What do you want?" Navies asked in a cold voice.

"Ahhh you know the Mercia dock, the largest port in our country. Someone wants to talk to you, come there." Navies hung up the phone.

"Balqis, Master Navies, Aiko Suzuki called back, she asked if she could send some additional forces with full weapons."

"No, I don't want chaos and civilian casualties. Stop," Navies said.

"Yes, Master."

"Balqis, you and they go to rescue Lily, I have to go."

"Haa, what do you mean?"

"I have a very urgent matter."

"I'm coming with you," said Balqis.

"No, I trust you, I believe Lily will be fine if you go there. Take them all, Balqis, I trust you," Navies smiled and patted Balqis' head again. Balqis was silent for a moment, "Alright Master Navies, I will do my best, take care."

"I'll take this car, you guys go, I don't want Lily to get hurt at all." Navies drove his car fast, slowly disappearing into the night. Similarly, Balqis and Aiko's people went in the opposite direction.

Navies' car headed to an abandoned shopping place. People who were lighting a bonfire in the middle of the square in front of the building stood up and saw a luxury car. Navies got out, "Ahhhh so you're the new kid...?" Your car is nice, you're a rich kid," Albert greeted warmly and laughed. Navies' face looked serious. Albert immediately knew, "Is something wrong?"

"Where's Mike?" Navies asked.

"He went to see his girlfriend. Hey, you five, grab our best weapons," Albert ordered some DBW gang members. "No need to talk, we understand gang members should help each other because we're family," Albert said with a smile. "Come on, we don't have time, explain on the way. Hey, you guys get in the car."

Navies immediately got into the car. They headed towards the dock, driving fast.
