Chapter title Spoiler - At the bottom

Shin went on to see the dumpling shop.

Looking at the shop, He remembered Itachi and Kisame sitting right there and he got chills.

'I might wanna avoid this shop as much as possible. Even though Itachi is young and Uchihas are still around, this is still the place where ninjas like Itachi, Kakashi and Guy like to visit quite regularly.'

Getting bored of all the stuff in the market, he pondered his options. 'If I go to the clan spots, I'll probably draw unnecessary attention. I should head to the library instead,' he thought, envisioning a quieter and less eventful destination.

Approaching the Leaf Library, Shin marveled at its imposing three-story structure, conveniently located near the Hokage building.

Drawing closer, he noticed the crowd thinning, with fewer ordinary townsfolk and more actual citizens and ninjas entering and exiting the building.

Entering the library, Shin couldn't help but be captivated by its unique design, standing out from the rest of the village. He made his way to the reception, gazing up at the towering desk, feeling amused at his short stature.

"Hello, I want to read in the library", Shin asked with an air of curiosity, "Am I allowed?".

A middle-aged man sporting a leaf headband responded, his voice carrying a touch of authority upon spotting the pint-sized visitor. With a ponytail and a slight mustache, he seemed like a seasoned ninja librarian ready to bestow his wisdom. "Of course, kid! You're free to read anywhere on the ground floor," he declared, his voice amplifying as if addressing a grand assembly.

"It's good that you want to study so soon. Are you looking for anything special?", The ninja`s eyes brimmed with passion.

"Oh I just want to do some practice on language studies and also to study a bit of the history of our village" Shin replied in a composed manner.

"Oh okay then come with me, I`ll guide you." The man left the reception desk and told the other person to handle his spot.

After arriving at the language section he gave a few beginner books to Shin, "Here you are, this should be enough for you now. If you do not understand, you can come ask me when I am not busy, Sound good?"

"Thank you so much for your guidance," Shin replied gratefully. "By the way, may I ask your name?"

"Certainly! I'm Ikkaku. Ikkaku Umino," he responded in a warm and friendly tone.

Although his face seemed familiar, Shin just couldn't remember where he could have seen it. Ikkaku left him and went back to the reception desk.

...

"Okay let`s see, If I can understand what it is saying. Although, Dai gives us classes four days a week. It still can't be compared to the studies in the academy". Shin opened the book for language.

As he delved deeper into the pages, he realized that he remembered nearly all of the content that the previous owner had studied. The previous Shin was evidently a literary talent. "It's still bizarre to think that I now possess knowledge of a language I had no clue about in my previous life," he pondered, scratching his head in amusement.

"Alright, now that I've confirmed my mastery of the basics, let's venture into history a bit," Shin resolved, flipping open a book titled "Ninja History for Children." He couldn't help but chuckle at the tiny disclaimer at the bottom, which read, "For children aged between three and nine."

The early chapters were filled with legends of the ninja world, recounting the feats of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, who singlehandedly invented and wielded the Wood Style Ninjutsu. Then there was the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, and his epic clash against twenty S-rank ninjas from the Hidden Cloud Village, resulting in his sacrifice to protect his students. And of course, the tales of the God of Shinobi, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and the legendary Three Sannin.

"Hmm, so the First Great Ninja War was triggered by the Hidden Stone Village," Shin mused, raising an eyebrow. "They didn`t explain it in the anime. Guess it's up to the children's books to fill in the gaps." A mischievous grin played on his lips as he added, "I can see a hint of the 'Will of Fire' in this book. Well, Hiruzen did enjoy strutting around the academy, lecturing kids about it. And when he wasn't doing that, he'd be busy peering into that infamous perverted divination glass."

Suddenly, a chill ran down Shin's spine as he realized the implications. "Wait a minute... If someone wanted to, they could be observing me anywhere, anytime in the village," he exclaimed, shuddering at the thought.

Shaking off the paranoia, he continued reading, arriving at the chapter on the Third Great Ninja War and the infamous Battle of Kannabi Bridge. "Ah, the legendary Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash of the Leaf," Shin read aloud, "Minato Namikaze Dubbed Yellow Flash of the Leaf, was an elite jounin at the time of the Third Great Ninja War. He strategically divided his team into 2 groups and destroyed the Kannabi bridge cutting off the supply line to the Hidden Stone ninja army in the area. This was an event that broke the morale of the Stone ninjas and The Hidden Stone Immediately called out for peace soon afterward. Only one ninja was missing in action named Obito Uchiha and soon declared KIA".

Shin couldn't help but smirk, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, how they'll come to regret that oversight in the future," he remarked, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "All because they couldn't properly verify the demise of a single chunin."

After reading the history book of 30 pages, he went to the anatomy section and tried to find books on Chakra and internal energies. But all the books were related to the common man`s anatomy.

Shin concluded that anything related to chakra and internal energies was probably reserved for academy students. "Guess I'll have to wait until I gain admittance to the academy to unlock those secrets", he muttered in a low voice.

Exiting the books section, Shin made his way to the reception area. Upon seeing him emerge after just thirty minutes, Ikkaku's face fell, clearly expecting a longer stay. He couldn't help but inquire, "So, how was it? Did you find it interesting?"

A mischievous grin spread across Shin's face as he replied, "Oh! The history of the Shinobi was very exciting. I read it all and even completed all the exercises in the language book."

Still skeptical, Ikkaku decided to put Shin's newfound knowledge to the test. "Well then, young man, let's see if you're as knowledgeable as you claim. Can I quiz you a bit?"

Shin's enthusiasm remained undeterred as he cheerfully replied, "Sure, go ahead!"

Ikkaku cleared his throat and began with the basics. "How many Hokage are there?"

Shin confidently responded, "There are four Hokage."

Impressed, Ikkaku continued, "Okay, now, can you name all of them?"

Without missing a beat, Shin listed off the names of each Hokage.

Ikkaku decided to up the ante. "Alright, let's increase the difficulty. What is each Hokage's specialty? What are they known for? Anything you can tell me about them."

Shin's brow furrowed in confusion. "Specialty? You mean their strongest jutsus or what they're famous for?"

Ikkaku nodded, a glimmer of amusement in his eyes.

"Alright then," Shin began confidently. "The First Hokage, Lord Hashirama, is known for his Wood Style jutsu. The Second Hokage, Tobirama, specializes in Water Jutsus. The Third Hokage, Hiruzen, is called the Professor since he knows and has mastered every jutsu in the Leaf. As for the Fourth Hokage, well, I'm not entirely sure about his special jutsu," he admitted, scratching his head. "But the book mentioned that he's called the Yellow Flash of the Leaf, so I think it has something to do with fire-style jutsus and incredible speed."

Upon hearing Shin's conclusion, Ikkaku burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Kid, you've got quite the imagination! But believe it or not, you're right about the Fourth Hokage. He's known for his incredible speed"

Ikkaku's laughter eventually subsided, and he couldn't help but offer an enticing proposition. "Alright, little one, here's the deal. Once you get admitted to the ninja academy, come find me, and I'll give you a special gift."

Shin's eyes sparkled with excitement as he eagerly agreed to the offer. "Deal!".

Shin agreed and went out of the library. It was already evening when Shin returned to the orphanage.

On his way home, He suddenly remembered the library ninja. It was Iruka`s father. He then sighed regretfully, "I won't be able to cash in on that gift, Ah forget it"

He finished some exercises but got tired quickly. he freshened up and ate dinner with Akiko, Hiro, and Kiri in the Dining hall. He could see the girl named Yukimo staring at him from time to time, especially around the area where he got punched.

Afterward, he returned to his room and started his meditation again. Due to the extensive physical training throughout the day, he could feel some energy trying to smash through in his body but ultimately failing.

'I think I am on the right path. I just have to exercise and ultimately my chakra will be unlocked soon. After reassuring himself, He immersed himself again in his meditation training. At exactly 10 pm. He heard the knock on the door.

"Ah my masseur is here"

Opening the door, Hiro's sullen face emerged.

"All right lie down quickly. I want to complete this soon". Hiro said dejectedly

After getting thoroughly massaged by Hiro again, Shin relaxed with a long yawn and tried a meditation posture again.

During meditation, he was suddenly interrupted, a chilling presence began to permeate the room, shattering the tranquility that once enveloped him. A cold breeze whispered through the air, causing the hairs on his body to stand on end. Shin's heart raced, his instincts screaming at him that something sinister was approaching.

A sense of impending doom washed over him, tinged with an unexplained terror that seemed to seep into his very soul.

His breath caught in his throat as he struggled to steady himself. Beads of sweat formed on his brow, mirroring the fear that gripped his every fiber. He tried to speak but could not get the words out of his mouth.

As if a fleeting dream, he suddenly felt relaxed again. With trembling hands, he reached for the cup of water beside him. He tried to regulate his breathing, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.

Sensing a primal fear awakening within him, only one question remained in his mind, "WHAT WAS THAT!".

.....

Deep within the hidden recesses of the Leaf Village, in a hidden place. The air was heavy with an unsettling stillness, and a palpable sense of foreboding hung in the atmosphere.

Within the dimly lit room, a man with long hair was operating on a body, positioned upon a cold, hospital bed. The room itself bore strange markings etched into the floor. The body had some kind of paper on its face, something written on it. While humming a song, he cut with a scalpel near the stomach.

Infusing his chakra, he made the Tiger sign and some blue chakra spilled out. He placed his hands on the body near the cut and the chakra spread throughout.

After some moments, a weird odor wafted out of the body and a bit of smoke released from the place where the strange paper was placed.

"Another failure".
