205 Chapter 198: Battle of Uzu (I)

Sakumo remained where he was as he collected Nature Energy, while Danzo's blade began humming as it seemed to come to life with vibrations.

They both stood cautiously, as they knew they would be forced to face the Third Mizukage, otherwise the monster would go unopposed due to Ashina retreating to ensure he could direct their forces properly.

'He froze the entire sea? I knew that he was supposed to be a master of Ice Release, but to freeze the sea to the point that it becomes as solid as the ground, it seems our intelligence underestimated his threat level. This bastard is likely on the same level as Hiruzen. However, I refuse to be outdone!' Danzo thought to himself as he burst into speed.

"Continue gathering your Senjutsu Chakra. I'll need your aid if we want to take this bastard down." Danzo said to Sakumo, with him manipulating the Wind to carry the sound of his words to him.

Danzo appeared above Kori in an instant, with him bringing his blade down with the intent to behead him completely.

However, Kori paid him no attention as he made ice appear from nowhere, with him blocking the attack as if it was nothing.

'He could form ice thick enough to block my blade without even needing a water source? It seems this bastard is as terrifying as I thought. However, all I need is a single touch.' Danzo thought to himself as he jumped back to avoid being impaled by a spear of ice.

'So he can manipulate the terrain as well? It seems that I will be forced to use one my advantages already.' Danzo thought as Wind Natured Chakra began coating his entire body, with him floating above the ice.

Danzo then threw multiple shuriken that vibrated greatly, and when Kori attempted to make a shield again, he was finally forced to become alert by Danzo, with the shuriken shredding through the ice, forcing him to dodge.

Danzo was not the decrepit old man that needed to rely on external resources that he would become later on in life, but he was instead a master of Wind Release that rivalled any of the Kazekage, and he stood as the foremost Wind Ninjutsu master of the Leaf, one who had mastered many of the darker arts that Tobirama had created.

Danzo headed towards the man, though Kori finally went on the attack, with him weaving to seperate Jutsu with both hands.

"Ice Style: Icy Mist Jutsu."

"Ice Style: Ice Dragon Jutsu."

While Kori began spewing mist from his mouth, with Danzo seeing his vibrating shuriken becoming frozen once they touched it, two dragons made of ice appeared from the frozen water, with them heading towards Danzo from behind.

Danzo seemed to pay the dragons no mind, with him heading towards Kori while blasting a massive gust of wind from his mouth towards the fog.

He cleared a path through the mist to arrive at Kori, while the dragons behind him seemed to be about to devour him.

However, before the Jutsu could connect, the two were destroyed, with Sakumo being revealed, him now being adorned with red markings appearing on his face.

Sakumo then blasted at Kori, his blade shining greatly on the battlefield as he attempted to decapitate Kori.

But, Kori responded by easily forming a blade made of ice that blocked his attack, though based on the cracks that appeared, it wasn't powerful enough to fully block the attack.

"Ice Age!!" Kori said, his face showing emotion for the first time in the battle.

However, his Jutsu create a blast of cold air and ice that pushed Sakumo fully back, with it making the temperature in the area decrease even further, leaving Danzo to halt as he flew further up to avoid the full affect of the attack.

On the other side of the battlefield, Ashina fought against the Patriarchs of the Kaguya and Hozuki Clans, but upon seeing the incoming blast which he felt would take the lives of many Shiniobi, he quickly drew seals in the air, with him using his chains to propel himself towards the attack as he formed a purple barrier.

The barrier was barely able to stop Kori's attack, with it having cracks all around it, though it was able to save the lives of hundreds of Shinobi.

"Did I tell you I was done with you yet!?!" An angry voice yelled.

The Kaguya Clan Patriarch charged towards Ashina with a deranged look on his face.

"I can no longer afford to play games with you, Kaguya. Ashina said as he began weaving signs.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

Ashina's Jutsu finished as he spewed a monstrous amount of flames towards not just the Kaguya Patriarch but also the Kiri Shinobi behind him.

While simple Jutsu's might not seem like much, when supercharged by someone with Chakra reserves on the level of the Uzumaki, they become equivalent to S-Ranked Techniques.

It was for that reason that the Konoha Shinobi held the upper hand all throughout the battle, alongside the fact that the Hyuga were able to see through the Mist Technique, the main support technique that Kiri Shinobi use for their assassination style of combat, the Konoha Shinobi were taking down two to three Kiri Shinobi for every one that they lost.

On the other side of the barrier, Sakumo stood with his clothinbg torn and wounds adorned on his body, with him looking at the Third Mizukage, as the man had blades made of ice floating all around him.

Danzo floated in the air as he formulated a battle strategy, with him transmitting his plan to Sakumo, starting the next stage of their battle.
