Chapter 99: Suna pt 2

"Well, fuck." Naruto said in a whisper as he looked at Temari who was curled up next to him, her head resting on his chest.

The two of them had gotten a bit drunk the last night, and then proceeded to have a very fun night together, not that Naruto minded, he quite liked Temari and the fact that she was a beautiful and quite talented young woman only helped in increasing her attractiveness, while she wasn't a genius per se she was quite talented as a ninja, she was already comparable to a Chunin having gained the rank a few months ago which was quite good for her age, she could easily become a jonin, perhaps low-Kage level shinobi in the future if she gained a good teacher and worked hard.

Naruto watched as Temari's eyelids fluttered, her beautiful green eyes staring into his own bright blue ones, "Good morning, Temari, had fun have you?" Naruto said with a smirk, Temari pouted with a blush, "Don't tease me you jerk, you better take responsibility for this." She said with a small playful glare.

Naruto smiled at her "Don't worry, I was already planning on doing that, but how about we go freshen up first, then we can go and eat some breakfast and discuss things a bit better." Naruto said as he got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom in his hotel room, Temari following behind.

Naruto allowed Temari to shower first, he didn't want to make her uncomfortable by being overly comfortable with doing things together, he could imagine her not wanting to take a shower with him immediately, not that it mattered that much either way.

After Temari, Naruto also went to have a shower and after the two of them put on some fresh clothes they headed down to the dining hall in the lobby.

Kakashi and the rest of team 7 all stared at Naruto with deadpan looks, they hadn't even been here for a day but he had already managed to bed the previous Kazekage's only daughter, Kakashi smiled proudly under his mask, already planning on telling this to a certain perverted sage, perhaps he could gain a new book to read out of it.

Naruto seemed to notice Kakashi's lecherous thoughts and flared his aura at him as a warning.

"You better not have any funny ideas, Kakashi, I know where you keep your secret stash after all, wouldn't want it to get burned would we?" Naruto threatened Kakashi.

"Well, either way, this is Temari, Temari this is my former sensei and his Genin team, I hope you guys get along with each other." Naruto introduced them to each other and sat down at the table they were sitting at along with Temari.

"It's nice to meet you guys, I hope we can be friends and I apologize for intruding upon your breakfast." Temari said with a polite smile.

"It is nice to meet you indeed, Temari-san, I am Hatake Kakashi, I hope naruto hasn't bothered you too much, and don't worry you're not intruding at all, we are almost done after all." Kakashi said, the rest of the team then each introduced themselves, each with varying degrees of enthusiasm and politeness, with Kiba having the most of the former and the least of the latter, Hinata being the complete opposite and Yakumo being in the middle.

The 4 of them were already finishing their breakfast when Naruto and Temari arrived so by the time Naruto and Temari's breakfast arrived they had already left, as had everyone else that was having breakfast, they were the last ones to arrive, luckily the hotel employees were too afraid to complain, there wasn't much they could do as Naruto one of the strongest shinobi of Konoha and Temari was the daughter of the former Kazekage and a Chunin of their village.

Naruto then looked at Temari with a bit more of a serious face, "So, I think we should discuss what the two of us are, because we're clearly more than friends after last night, and I don't just want to leave without anything again." Naruto said to Temari.

Temari contemplated for a bit "Well, I don't exactly know either, but t guess that we'll find out in the future won't we? And I also agree that we are definitely more than friends, but I wouldn't say we are in a relationship just yet.

Naruto nodded at that, happy at not being rejected, "Well we better get onto that right now, I wouldn't want to waste my time here without you."

Naruto and Temari quickly finished their breakfast, they had a few hours before Gaara would be coronated as the Fifth Kazekage of Suna, the event would be public so there was no reason to wear any formal clothing, it would be similar to Tsunade's coronation where the entire population of Konoha was watching, except it would be Suna this time.

The two spent some time discussing their plans for the rest of Naruto's stay here, there were a few things that Temari wanted to show him, like the oasis that was hidden in the sand, people that weren't shinobi of Suna could only visit it if they had the permission of the Kazekage or the Jounin Leader if the Kazekage was unavailable.

The time for Gaara's coronation was nearing and the entire population of Suna was slowly heading towards the Kazekage building, where Chiyo and Baki stood on top of the roof looking at the citizens of Suna, they had spotted Temari and Naruto together, both looked at each other and smirked.

After a few minutes of waiting, Gaara appeared, Chiyo said a whole speech about the longevity of Suna and how they will never give up under Gaara's leadership, and that she entrusted the future of Suna to Gaara much like she had done with his father.

The crowd cheered loudly, Gaara smiled at them as Chiyo put the Kazekage hat on his head and helped him put on the robe that flowed with the wind, the civilians of Suna that had once feared Gaara now adored him as their Hokage, much like how the civilians of Konoha had begun to see Naruto as a hero.
