Chapter-1

Konohagakure or commonly called Konoha. The strongest and the first of the Five great ninja villages is the most economically stable and secure village for many reasons like having many ninja clans and a strong army force.

But such a nation was reduced to a pitiable state since they were invaded by the 'combined' forces of Suna and the ronin Orochimaru. Konoha suffered a lot from the invasion, including the loss of its longest reigning Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Due to desperation the village quickly formed an alliance with Suna again in the image of forgiving them to keep the other villages from waging war. But the only thing that stopped other villages from doing so was nine-tails and their own internal strives.

In such a state Tsunade Senju, the granddaughter of the first hokage was made the Fifth Hokage and the village slowly started to repair itself. All the shinobis were busy with as many missions as they could handle to make the economy stable again while a special force was made to track Orochimaru.

In such desperate times for the village, The 'last' remaining 'survivor' of the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke Uchiha fled the village.

This news immediately made all the higher-ups panic, especially a cyclops as Sasuke was his only protection against a certain someone. But since all of the experienced shinobis were sent on a mission and the remaining ones in the village were just some gennins. 

A team consisting of just six gennins being Naruto Uzumaki, Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, Neji Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka and Rock Lee after Tsunade healed him. In hopes that they could retrieve him.

But none had the hope that they would be successful, so an hour after the sic gennins departure, Tusnade decided to send another Chunin who just returned after his mission.

"I know you just came back from a mission to Hatake, but I need you to accept this mission too" Tsunade could be seen asking a boy who was about 4 '9 tall and clad in a black robe and a feature-less white face mask. He had two short swords strapped to each of his forearms and ash grey hair which was spiked up.

He is Tanaka Hatake, a Chunin from the Hatake family who recently became an Anbu.

"I won't fail you my lady." *Swoosh* Tanaka nodded as he body flickered away, leaving behind a swirl of wind in his place. An impressive feat considering how flawless he was in performing that.

"Are you sure about this Tsunade-sama? Shouldn't we send someone more experienced if Orochimaru could potentially be involved?" Shizune asked Tsunade.

"If we had someone more experienced than him I would have definitely sent them instead." She said as she took out a scroll from her drawer.

"But that kid's no joke either." She said as she threw the scroll to Shizune. "That's the report about his chunin exam before he joined the Anbu."

Shizune opened the scroll and read the contents and her eyes widened, "HE BEAT ALL OF THE OTHER GENNINS ON THE SECOND ROUND!?"

"There wasn't even a need to keep a 3rd round, that's the main reason his name is not known much to the public."

-Meanwhile-

*Huff* *Huff* 

An exhausted and injured Choji could be seen standing, facing his opponent, Jirobo. Jirobo was a huge guy with orange hair, unlike Choji he was not very exhausted and was just playing with his prey.

He lifted another large boulder and looked at Choji cockly and said, "That's all you got fatty? Then just get ready to die." At this point Jirobo had no doubts in his mind that he'll win.

'Should I do it' Meanwhile Choji was considering whether to use his clan's forbidden technique with his pills. He knows that there's a chance that he may die due to its side effects.

But he'll die otherwise too.

'Is this my end? Will I die here?' Fear started to seep through Choji's heart as his eyes lost focus and he started panicking. He has never been in a situation like this before.

'Fuck it! If I'm dying atleast I'll take him with me so that he won't be a bother to Shikamaru!' Choji took a deep breath in as his eyes sharpened and gained the focus it lost due to fear.

"Bring it on Fatso!" Choji shouted at Jiroro as he took the pill near his mouth.

*SLINNGGG* There was a sudden sound, it sounded as if something was tearing through the air and moving at an insane speed.

Before Choji or Jirobo could even perceive what was going on, something flashed by their eyes.

"Wha-?" Confused, Jirobo said but he felt a wet sensation on his forehead. But before he could find out what that was, his corpse fell down lifeless.

'The hell!!' Choji's eyes widened due to shock as the one he had been fighting till now was laying down with a hole in his forehead with blood flowing out.

"Relax, I'm from Anbu." His body froze as he heard a voice from his behind.

He turned back to see Tanaka who was standing there quietly.

"Are you our reinforcement!?" After collecting his thoughts Choji managed to ask.

"Yes. summarise your situation quickly, I don't have time." Tanaka said as he walked near the corpse to make sure it is dead and took his kunai which was struck behind the tree after penetrating through Jirobo.

"Ah- yes!"

Tanaka looked at Neji defeating the other sound ninja and proceeded to look for Sasuke Uchiha. It looked like Neji could hold his own so he didn't find the need to help him.

He jumped from tree to tree while carefully deciding what to do.

Not much later he reached a river shore where he saw Kiba fighting another weird guy with 2 heads. Instantly he was disappointed at how flashy and inefficient Kiba fought. Each of his moves were flawed and imperfect with slightly ticked him off but he was even more disappointed when he looked at the two headed guy who was somehow loosing to an amature.

'They don't seem to need my assistance. But just in case, I'll leave Kira here.' Tanaka thought as he bit his finger to make it bleed and summoned a large black spider which was as large as Akamaru. It was Kira, Tanaka's contracted beast.

"Assist the dog guy from above." He ordered Kira.

"Got it." Kira said and started to crawl to a nearby tree.

Tanka looked at Kiba struggling for a moment and just proceeded to run towards the direction where the tree branches were damaged. His only mission was to retrieve Sasuke Uchiha, the casualties aren't his concern. The only reason he inerviened Choji's fight was because he wanted to have info about the situation.

'I still have about 3/4th of my chakra and stamina so I should try avoiding another fight before retrieving Sasuke Uchiha as much as possible.' He thought as he stopped on a branch to try and sense the chara signature around.

'This huge chakra… it's near the valley of the end huh?' He avoided another smaller chakra signature which was nearby altogether and just rushed towards the valley of the end where he could distinctly sense a huge signature of chakra.

As he was getting closer he finally sensed something scary.

"What is this…?" He muttered.

A sudden feeling of terror engulfed him as visible streaks of red chakra became visible in the atmosphere.

"Is this the nine-tails chakra?" He whispered.

'So Naruto is fighting, could he be controlled by the fox?' He readied himself to potentially fight a Jinchuriki as he enveloped his whole body with chakra getting ready for combat.

But the sight before him really shocked him. A grotesque thing with wings that resembled the hands of a human with dark grey skin and blood red eyes was piercing its hand into Naruto. He could still recognise who was that monster/

'Sasuke Uchiha… so you weren't abducted… I thought you'd turn out to be different in this world you power hungry bastard.' Tanaka immediately became infuriated at the sight.

That's right. Tanaka Hatake is not originally from this world, he is a reincarnated soul who is living in a verse which was nothing but a source of entertainment in his previous world. Tanaka equipped a cold persona in this world as he found everything distant and often just stayed alone.

His parents in this world are both dead. They were Shinobis who died during a mission at the hands of Iwa Shinobis. So he lives alone and just talks to his cousin, Kakashi Hatake sometimes and other than that. He acts like a robot. He is currently quite emotional because he did meet his cousin's students before and expected the situation to turn out different as he did incapacitate Kabuto by cutting off his limbs in his chunin exam.

*Sowwsh*

"Why Sasuke?" 

Sasuke who dropped Naruto to the ground looked to his back where Tanaka with shocked eyes.

"What do you mean why… Hatake?" Sasuke asked back while trying to collect his thoughts. He is almost fully exhausted now and doesn't think he can survive another bout.

"Why be so desperate for power like a pathetic worm YOU ARE?"*Crackle* Each sword in Tanaka's crackled with lightning as he infused it with his maximum chakra output.

"You don't talk like you understand! YOU NEVER SEEN YOUR FAMILY GETTING KILLE- *Gofff*" Before Sasuke could ever finish his sentence Tanaka went for a blow as he impaled his short sword into Sasuke's stomach.

'Forgive me cousin.' Tanaka thought for a moment while looking directly in Sasuke's shocked eyes.

"Stop talking." Tanaka said coldly as he electrocuted Sasuke's body.

"ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!" Sasuke's monstrous form slowly shifted back to his normal form as Tanaka still continued to shock him.

*Huff* "In a fight you should fight, not debate dumbass." He released a sharp breath after stopping his lightning and dropping Sasuke to the floor with his skin suffering 2nd degree burns and at the risk of having permanent nerve injuries.

"I-I'll kill youuu.." But Sasuke still managed to remain awake as he looked at Tanaka with such hatred reflecting on his matured Sharinan.

"You can try." He said and chopped Sasuke's neck to knock him out and put him over his shoulder.

"I sould have arrived sooner Naruto." Tanaka looked to see if Naruto had any injuries but luckily he was just exausted and Kurama's chakra healed Naruto.

*Shrrekk*

!!!

As soon as he hear a sound Tanaka guarded his head with his hand and felt a sharp pain from that hand.

'Shit!'

He dropped Sasuke down and held his sword in his right hand as he looked around to find who attacked him. Seeing that the attacker didn't seem like revealing himself, he dropped two smoke bombs on the floor and put Naruto inside a hole which he dug using -Earth Style: Simple Hole-.

'If they are attacking me, then they're probably with Orochimaru. Meaning the only ones who are in danger here are me and Naruto.' Tanaka looked at Sasuke and contemplated if he should remove the sword he impaled him with, but decided not to as Sasuke may die from bleeding.

*Sw* 

The moment he heard a fast movement, he threw 4 of his Kunais in that direction. In the vacuum of smoke the kinais left behind he saw a flash of white hair.

'Its that bone guy!' Tanka managed to recognize him from the anime. 'So is Rock Lee dead? I should hope for the worst.'

'Wind Style: Gale Palm' He got rid of the smoke and saw Kimimaro standing opposite to him with various blood wounds on his body. Just like Sasuke, he too was in a monstrous form.

"I take it you killed the kid who fought you?" Tanaka asked him coldly as he flared his chakra.

Kimimaro remained silent and just rushed at Tanaka. Tanaka didn't stand still and rushed at Kimimaro, drawing his blade back. When Tanaka was in his range, Kimimaro sent a bone spike from his palm to Tanaka's face which he dodged and swung his blade at Kimimaro's chest.

Just as Kimimaro was about to dodge, Tanaka changed his attack as he hit Kimimaro's chin with a roundhouse kick followed by a combo of a left hook and knee kick to the nose.

Kimimaro was pushed back significantly as his brain was a bit disoriented due to the power behind the kick. He just fought Rock Lee and knows Tanaka's blows are not as strong as Rock Lee's. But Tanaka's Blows just hit where it hurt and was not as predictable as Rock Lee's was.

"Just surrender and you'll live." Tanaka said he liked Kimimaro when he watched the anime.

"Give me Sasuke and you'll live." 

"Do you think you're in a position to offer that? In your current state you wouldn't survive another 10 minutes." 

"He won't but I will.. Tanaka."

Tanaka immediately looked back to spot Kabuto near Sasuke, smiling at him sinisterly. But unlike the last time he saw him, Kabuto had 2 pale white hands.

"What are you doing here Kabuto?" Tanaka asked as he created an Earth Clone beside him.

"Oh don't mind me, just here to give a helping 'hand'." Kabuto smiled creepily as a wooden pike emerged from his hands.

'I see… so it is Hashirama's cells. My plan paid off.' Tanaka gnawed under his mask after looking at the Hashirama's cells Kabuto probably had in his new arms and Sasuke's eyes. He looked at his clone and nodded.

"You should have just stayed hidden!" Tanaka's clone rushed at Kabuto while Tanaka rushed at Kimimaro.

-Kakashi Hatake's POV-

'Has Tsunade-sama lost her damn mind!? How can she send some inexperienced gennins from big clans to such dangerous missions!?'

'Not to mention Naruto too! If by chance Naruto gets killed or abducted we'll loose Nine-tails which is a big defece for our village.'

"Pakkun, are you sure they are ahead?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I can smell all of them there, You brother, The orange kid and the emo kid." 

"Fine. Thanks for your help, I'll treat you later." I said and unsummoned him.

'Choji, Shikamaru, Neji, Kiba and Rock Lee all are alive with only Rock Lee fainting due to alcohol overdose. It's lucky that he's alive, if his opponent hadn't left after he fainted he'd be certainly dead.

I just pray Tanaka and Naruto are safe. Knowing Sasuke wasn't abducted, there is a high chance that he himself went out after Orichimaru after seeing the power boost that cursed seal gave him.

God I should have focused on him more.

I thought Sasuke will be just like Tanaka and that I should just make him have friends instead of training him more. That really backlashes at me. 

Though Tanaka won't kill if the mission was just to retrieve, if push comes to shove his morality is not ridgid like Naruto's to stop him from killing someone he knows.'

I should be quick.'

I hopped off the branch and immediately sensed the sudden calmness in the chakra signature after a while.

'No..'

Sacred I immediately rushed even faster towards the valley of the end, scaring for the worst but what I saw made my heart stop for a moment.

Tanaka stood there leaning against a tree with a large construct of bones emerging from a corpse a few metres away from him and his mask broken and kept down. He was very much injured with blood stains all over him and by the way he held his abdomen, I predict that he was injured there too. But he was alive.

But there was no sight of Naruto or Sasuke there.

"Tanaka!" I went near him and checked if he was ok.

"Oh, hey Kakashi. I'll be fine, you go dig out Naruto, I buried him near that tree for his safety." He said as he pointed at a tree nearby.

Though I wondered what happened here I just went to the tree he pointed and dug the ground to pick up a fainted Naruto. He looked like he was having a damn good sleep to be frank.

"So what happened?" I asked him as I started to cover up his injuries to stop his bleeding. 

"Two of Orochimaru's henchmen fought me, One died and the other escaped with Sasuke. The dead one used some bone Kekaigenkai and the other one used wood style." He said as he drank water from my pouch.

So Orochimaru did continue that experiment… it seems you aren't the last one tenzo.

I was confused whether to be impressed by Tanaka's feat or sad that Sasuke got kidnapped.

"How did Naruto get injured then?"

"It Sasuke, they both fought and Sasuke won with the help of that cursed seal with all of Orichimaru's hench man sees to have, Won't be surprised if he had one too."

This is bad…

"So what about the other kid who fought? Is Rock Lee dead?"

"No. All of them are safe because the Suna Gennins came to help and Rock Lee isn't dead. He just fainted after drinking too much alcohol."

"Haha… that's… pretty funny." Saying that Tanaka too slept due to exhaustion. It's rare to see him laugh… in a way he's just like me when I was young. Just a lot more mature and talented.

I won't blame him. It's a great feat that he fought with two Joins with different Kekkei Genkai and still managed to not lose and kill one of them.

"You did a great job Tanaka, your parents and my dad would have been proud… and so am I."

"So Orochimaru is still conducting experiments with my Grandfather's cells…" Tsunade-sama said while looking at the hand of the wood style user that Tanaka managed to cut off.

"THAT BASTARDDD!!!" She broke her table in anger.

"Calm down Tsunade-sama, we don't have time to be angry." Shikaku intervened as he too inspected the hand.

"Currently we lost the 'last' remaining Uchiha to someone who could himself create a whole new Uchiha clan with him. This matter is too serious." Shikaku said and he was as right as he could be.

Guys like Danzo won't stop mentioning this incident as Tsunade-sama's inability to manage her position as Hokage.

Sasuke was a key political piece and since Tsunade-sama 'lost' him in her reign it'll paint her in a bad light and since Tsunade-sama is not experienced as Hiruzen-sama who still managed to remain as Hokage after a clan literally became extinct in his reign.

"How's Tanaka, Kakashi?" Tsunade-sama asked.

"He's fine my lady. He wasn't lethally injured so he just needs rest for a few days and he'll be good to go."

"That's good to know… I plan to put him in a search team with you and Anko to find Orochimaru." 

Anko huh?

"I'll gladly accept the mission."

"There's no need for that Tsunade." We all turned towards the window to see Jiraiya sitting on the window.

"I researched about the -Soul Replacement Technique- Orochimaru planned on using. Each time that technique is used the user's soul is hurt and it takes a long time for a soul to heal. Since Hiruzen-sensei sealed Orochimaru's hands he would have already used that technique. Meaning we have nearly 3 years till he swaps his soul with Sasuke."

"Are you certain Jiraiya?" Tsunade-sama asked.

"Yes." It was a rare moment of confidence from Jiraiya. "I'm planning to take Naruto on a training journey with me. I think he'll be the child of prophecy and I'll make sure he can defend himself from Akatsuki too they already came after him once."

That's the organisation Itachi is in too. They are after what I wonder? Maybe tailed beast as that is the only thing Naruto has unique to him.

"That way I'll look for info about Orochimaru and Akatsuki during our travels." 

So I won't be seeing Naruto for a few years huh? Sakura's gonna feel even more bad now… should I ask Kurenai for help with Sakura?

-3rd Person's POV-

Inside a hospital room in Konoha's hospital Tanaka Hatake could be seen sitting up with a grin on his face as he laughed.

"HAHAHAH!! It really worked!!" He was exatic.

Ever since he came to this world, he always had a fear in his heart that he'd be weak and die. So he started devising a plan around his 'unique' ability.

That ability being body manipulation. He doesn't know if that is something he got due to reincarnation or if it was a Kekkei Genkai. But his personal theory is that his soul is a lot stronger and malleable than other souls which allows him to manipulate his own body, to a certain extent.

He can control his heartbeats, pain receptors, digression, blood flow to an extent, excretion, growth, senses and chakra pathway to an extent. That is the sole reason why he's this strong at a young age. 

His strength is due to his almost perfect digestion where he eats only the proteins and nutrients he needs and his manipulation on his chakra pathway which is a lot wider than what he had when he was born. So he has a larger output of chakra and chakra volume than an average 13 year old.

Today he made an essential step in his plan. He got both Hashirama's cell and a Saringan and Uchiha blood from Kabuto and Sasuke.

Yes he held back during his fight and just took kabuto's hand and Sasuke's eye. Both for himself. Nobody knows his power and he wants to remain it that way as much as possible.

'Sharingan!' He opened his left eye and there it was. The shining red eye which looked a lot scary in the darkness.

"Woah…" Tanaka was genuinely shocked at the visual input Sharingan had. He could see things he never saw before easily and chakra which was closer to him became visible. Everything seems to move in slow motion.

"I'm becoming more and more like Kakashi everyday." He said as he looked at the palm of his hand. It was Hashirama's cells which gave it a pale white appearance.

"This will just give it away." He said and moved it to his face near his eye as the Yin energy from the eye and the Yang energy from the cells seem to complement each other nicely.

!!

"FUCK!!" The moment he moved that group of cells near his eyes he got a sharp pain in his eye, it felt like 1000 needles were pricking his eye while his face was inside liquid nitrogen.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" He pushed his face inside the pillow to muffle his scream as blood leaked from his eye.

A few minutes passed and the pain finally subsided. In that moment of pain and panic he couldn't even numb his pain receptors.

"Maybe that was karma…" He whispers as he opens his eyes.

At the beginning both of his eyes were just black. But he soon closed his right eye and activated his sharingan. And it wasn't the usual 3-tomoe one. Instead in that place was Mangekyou Sahringan with a Uzumaki pattern.

"I never knew Karma gifts people." Tanaka said as he looked around.

If an ordinary Skaringan was 1080P, Mangekyou is 4k quality. He could now clearly see things even during the night and his chakra is hardly being reduced props to H-cells.

"So this is my ability huh?" He picked up a fingernail he bit off a while before and held it pointing towards a glass of water.

*Shatter!* The glass broke as the nail hit it with a high speed.

That's his ability, he can apply velocity to any inanimate object he touches or himself with no limit. So he can indeed shoot something at light speed, but that would take a lot of chakra. He can do it, but he will need time to send something at that speed and nothing's gonna even move for a metre before disintegrating and making himself move at that speed requires a lot of chakra and he has to protect himself from dying due to air friction too.

"Well.. well.. Well.. I no longer need to be scared of those white lizards!!" He laughed like a child as he played around with his powers.
