Chapter 15: Becoming Genin and Getting My Very Own Weapon

"Alright, Andrew. You just need to perform the Clone Jutsu, the Henge Jutsu, and the Substitution Jutsu in order for you to pass"

"Okay"

I replied nonchalantly. Facing both Iruka and Mizuki in front of me. I quickly did the three Jutsus easily without hand seals, while also performing each Jutsu perfectly and with the right amount of chakra outputted on each one. I like to be a bit extra here and there

The faces of the two were surprised, to say the least. They were expecting me to do it perfectly, but they weren't expecting it to be at this level at all

"You passed flawlessly. Come and take your forehead protector. You deserve it"

Iruka said with a smile. I nodded back and went towards the table that was filled with forehead protectors just on the left side of the room. I picked the blue one and tied it up on my forehead. Revealing the Konoha crest embedded into the metal plate

"Congratulations Andrew. You are now a Genin of Konoha! You've come a long way, and I am proud of you"

"Thank you Iruka-sensei... Mizuki-sensei"

I said. Mentioning Mizuki's name with a bit of venom, though they didn't seem to notice it

"Well, when you come back to your classroom, call Ino Yamanaka. She is up next if you don't mind"

I nodded at Iruka and left the room with a smile on my face

I entered the room and saw everyone's reaction to my forehead protector. As expected, there weren't that many reactions except for the other girls. They knew I was going to pass so it wasn't much of a surprise to them to see me come back with a forehead protector

I made my way back to my seat next to Ino

"You're next Ino"

I said and sat down. She nodded as she sat up and started to leave, but then she stopped and turned around to look at me with a bit of a displeasure expression

"Where's my good luck then? I gave you one so you should give me one as well"

Ino huffed. Her cheeks puffed out in a cute manner. Pouting like a little girl. I just simply smiled and gave her a thumbs up

"You don't need it. Now go already"

I replied. Ino desperately tried to protest a stroke of good luck from me. But in the end, she gave up and went away, but not before saying a few words to me with a smirk for some unknown reason

"Just wait. I have something for you when the time comes"

And then she left. I didn't know what she meant but I put it aside for now as I started to meditate like usual. I want to get my hands on that forbidden scroll later from Naruto, that's the goal for today before getting assigned to my team tomorrow. I also plan to eliminate Mizuki from the picture to get it over with. I don't want him getting away since he'll report me to Orochimaru. I have no time for that snake's attention to me as of right now

I have already devised a simple plan for that later tonight. If I can just execute it perfectly, it would be great. I can now finally get my hands on the Shadow Clone Jutsu, and many other forbidden Jutsus such as the famous Flying Thunder God, the Reanimation Jutsu, and much more

I've already endured 8 years' worth of time without getting much Jutsus. It would be a shame if I let this magnificent opportunity just slip out of my hands like that. Me and Naruto don't talk much, but we have a basic neutral relationship which is enough to get his trust later

Now, we just wait till then. And as I was deep in my thoughts, everyone started to get called out one by one rather quickly. Then after a while, everyone finished taking the test and was back in the room. The atmosphere was filled with joy and happiness, but there was also this sad and emotional side of it as well

Iruka came and gave a nice speech about the passing graduates, as well as the ones that didn't quite hit the mark to be considered as Genin. One of them was Naruto

He then dismissed us, but not before quickly announcing that tomorrow will be the day that we will get our team and sensei. I quickly said goodbye to Ino, who understood and just told me to be safe

"Hey... Before you go, I just want to say congrats Ino. I'm proud of you"

As she was leaving, she heard what I said. She blushed immediately like a heating tomato. Turning around to look at me, but there was no sign of my presence anymore in the room. Ino was left alone to contemplate my words. She held her chest tightly and smiled at herself and my words to her

I teleported outside of my house to show Mom and Dad my forehead protector. It was still early in the day, around lunchtime so I have plenty of time to prepare later when Naruto takes the forbidden scroll. And I also promised to graduate to my parents so I should get this one out of the way so that I have time later

"Mom! Dad! I'm back!"

I said, opening the door and seeing both of my parents sitting on the couch in the living room. They were surprised at my presence, but what they were more surprised at was the forehead protector I was wearing around my forehead. It took no time for them to react as Mom came in rushing at me with a hug so tight, but I have learned to resist such a thing. While Dad came next to us and ruffled my hair with a proud and overjoyed expression

"Oh, sweetie. I knew you could do it, I just knew it! See Shiro? I told you he'll do it didn't I!"

"I know, I know. Our son is the best student in their class after all so I am very much proud of him, right son? Your old pops haven't been excited like this since me and your mother's wedding day. My son is a ninja!"

They kept praising me and congratulating me every second and I just grinned at their happy faces. They value me too much to not be proud and excited about this, especially knowing that their son is an otherworldly genius of some sort. Well, I came from a different world so I may not be all genius. I'm quite dumb sometimes, but that's beside the point

After a while, we went out and decided to celebrate by eating at the Yakiniku restaurant. There were also students from my class here who recognized me, but I simply ignored them and sat at a table. This could be a long lunchtime if I say so myself

My prediction was correct. We stayed in the restaurant for like an hour. Mom called in all of her friends while Dad did the same. Inviting them over to celebrate my graduation and my promotion to becoming a Genin. I was again bombarded with a bunch of compliments from Mom and Dad's friends to which I just thanked them. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite loud and vibrant, in a good way that is

I smiled seeing both of my parents happy. I am quite glad to be a part of this family compared to the others who mostly don't have a complete family in their lives. It's a nice feeling, but at the same time, can be exploited for your weakness as well. Like using it to blackmail, hostage and such

I am confident that the only fate both Mom and Dad will get is natural causes. Any other thing is out of the table because I won't let it happen

Currently, Mom was a bit flushed and as well as her other friends from the bit of Sake that they were drinking. I looked at Dad and he knew what I was thinking about to which he just nodded at me 'I should excuse myself now. I've stayed enough so I think they'll let me go. I hope at least' I thought

I ignored Lix's comment as I stood up and went to Dad

"Dad, I have to go somewhere for a bit. Is it alright if I excuse myself?"

I whispered to him and he nodded

Dad whispered back and I nodded. But before I can slip away, Dad told me one final thing that interested me

"Son, before you go... You know that I've been working with the Hokage under special orders in order to create weapons and such right? Well, I have a little weapon for you as a gift when you become a ninja, which you now have. It's in our room right under the bed. Be careful though, the sword is created with one of the rarest materials that I have ever personally found though I haven't seen it before. It is made up of fully compressed dark material of some sort that I saved up just to make a weapon for you. It was durable so I thought I'd used it, and also it was the last piece of the material that I had so you know I've got to make it special. The weapon was so heavy that I needed help from several experienced ninjas to lift it back home. Though I believe that you can hold and wield its power. You deserve it, my son. Now you can go"

"Oi Shiro? What are you babbling at to our handsome son~? Come over here and drink with us!"

Suddenly, the drunk voice of Mom interrupted our little father-and-son conversation

"Alright alright. Calm down Fiona"

Dad nervously said and signaled me to go as I did. Leaving them as I went outside the restaurant. Feeling free whilst I took in the fresh air that nature was giving me

Since Dad mentioned it now, I might as well go and take a look at it as I teleported back to our home

Once there, I went towards their room. Kneeling on the floor and looking under their bed, and seeing a wooden box of some sort. I pulled it out and grabbed the top of the wood that was attached to the bottom and heaved it up, and uncovered a sword laying there in all of its glory

I can sense that the material was indeed not an ordinary metal. The material of the sword has the capability of supporting chakra infusion, which is the main thing I expected it to have. But just by looking at it, this thing must weigh about a shit ton for anyone just examining the sword with their eyes

The sword in front of me was beautiful and badass. A shining and very sharp blade all around gleamed against the dark, with a menacing black hilt and silver stripes covering it, while also having dragon-like scales in the hilt for design. And as well as a scabbard for this sword

It took me no more than a second to finish analyzing and understanding Lix's words about the material used. Now I get what he is saying. Where in the hell did Dad find this? I have no knowledge of this in this world so it must have been some cosmic disturbance or incident. Good thing that this was the last bit of it here, otherwise the other villages will bargain and wager for it. Maybe even go to war for such material of that caliber

I caressed the sword's blade softly. Feeling the alloy in my hands for the first time, and feeling that it holds an enormous amount of power inside of it. It's like it has been waiting for somebody to be worthy and responsible enough to wield it. To tame its powers and to be used whether the circumstances

Since Dad said that this sword is mine, I decided to equip this right now. Wrapping the scabbard of the sword behind me tightly as it was now time to carry the sword for the first time

I brought my hand onto the hilt of the sword and gripped it tightly, before slowly lifting the weapon in front of me with one hand. Even though the sword may be heavy, that doesn't mean that I could not in any way lift it. It was pretty light for me to be honest

After that, I put the weapon into the scabbard behind me as I now have a weapon to use and rely on in any given fight

"This is so cool"

I quietly squealed like a 5-year-old girl with this newfound powerful weapon that I got. It was perfect for me in a way. It not only goes with me, but also it looks aesthetically appealing to anyone that sees it. It also makes me a bit more menacing when confronted, especially with the abilities the sword has. It complements rather well here in this world, and many more too
