Ch 17: Tsunade

After they left the Third Hokage's office, Tsunade brought Tenma into a secluded place with a lot of books.

Here, Tenma was actually excited about this new teacher of hers.

And it was because Law had told him that she was pretty strong.

Even though Tenma could always learn the technique from the One Piece World through Law, he also wanted to learn Chakra.

After all, he now had Chakra in his body, and it would be a waste not to maximize them.

But sometimes, he is bound to be disappointed.

When they arrived, Tsunade immediately turned around as she observed Tenma.

" Kid, first, my name is Tsunade. But don't think too much. Do you think I will teach you?"

" ??? "

Tenma was a bit late to react. But the next moment, he saw Tsunade actually take a whole lot of books and handle them to him.

" I don't have much time to teach a disciple. Especially if one is not talented. Here, these are books about medical jutsus. You can learn them on your own."

Speaking, Tsunade paused a bit, and there was an inexplicable smile in her eyes.

As soon as the voice turned, she continued: "However, how about making it a bit interesting? Let's gamble for a bit. I heard from old man that you are one of the best Genius in Konoha. Therefore, If you are able to learn the whole book in two weeks, then I will listen to Sarutobi, old man, and accept you as a disciple! But if you are not able to do so, you have to promise me something. How? Isn't it interesting?"

When Tsunade said it like that, Tenma was caught off guard for a bit.

It turned out that this time, the beautiful teacher wasn't as simple as it seemed. And she wanted to use this chance to probe him first.

But unknown to him, it was actually an evil ploy of Tsunade. She really didn't want to accept disciple, so she had put an almost impossible task on Tenma.

' Humph, does that old man thinks he could command me? Now, after he lost the bet, I will tell that old man that his talent is insufficient, and for the promise, hehe…'

Looking at the name of Shimura, Tsunade knew that Tenma should have a lot of assets behind his name. Therefore, Tsunade deliberately wants to gamble with Tenma. But of course, the gambling thing belongs to the evil taste of Tsunade.

However, Tsunade saw Tenma actually agreed without thinking, and she couldn't help but be curious and asked:

"Brat, you sure? You are not afraid that I will ask you to break a few of your bones and make sure that you can't be a ninja again in the future?"

"Well, it is a lie if I said I'm not afraid!"

"Still, isn't life like this? If I would only do things that I'm sure off, then why would I even bother trying?" Said Tenma righteously, and even Tsunade was shocked by his words and couldn't help but gain a better impression of Tenma.

But unknown to her, it was all just a figure of speech. Tenma was only brave enough to agree to her bet because Law on the side gave his approval. Or rather encouraged him to accept the bet.

'Good little demons!'

After a while, Tsunade returned to the former indifferent face:

"Since you said so, then I wouldn't be merciless. If in two weeks you are not able to do so….

Well, not even your Shimura clan could help you. Until then, feel free to use this place. I will make sure that no one will bother you when you stay here."

After saying these words, Tsunade coldly snorted before her silhouette disappeared in front of Tenma.

Tenma saw Tsunade leave, his eyes slowly shifted to the mountain of books on the cupboard, and his mouth was filled with a confident smile.

" Two weeks? Well, it seems I need to start to work hard from now."

A while later…..

" No way, this is impossible.."

Tenma was lying on the ground. Book scattered all over the room, and his face was full of desperation.

What else could he do?

He thought the book that Tsunade gave her would just be about the theories of medical jutsus.

But after he spent some time reading them, Tenma was quick to realize that he was naive.

Some of these books contain an intermediate or even advanced part of the healing jutsu, and it was all the materials needed to be able to enter the Konoha hospital as a professional doctor.

Now that Tsunade expected him to learn all of them in under two weeks, wouldn't he be bound to fail?

The thought of going to the Third Hokage and beg crossed Tenma's mind.

But at this point in time, Law's voice which had gone silent for a while, eventually appeared again.

" Hmm… interesting. To think that the so-called Chakra could also be used like this."

Looking at his side, Tenma saw Law, reading the book with looks full of interest.

To Law, which was already a doctor before, these books clearly are an eye-opener. Obviously, they were not as profound as his ope-ope no mi.

Still, to be able to reach this step without technology and devil fruit and only depend on a thing called Chakra made Law feel awe.

Law continued to read the book for a while before he eventually saw Tenma, and he decided to close the book in his hand.

" Hmm? What is this? Why do you look so desperate?"
