Canon is HERE ! Walking through the door like a normal plot.

"Why are we watching him ?"

"Should we just go ?"

"No, let's wait a bit more."

"What is he even doing? And how is he staying so still ?"

"I know right? And does he wear eyeliner? Why is the skin around his eyes black ?"

"Alright guys, you saw the sign, we don't disturb. If he isn't responding even though he's sensing us, it should be because he can't, just wait." Says a green-haired tall woman, pointing to the bis a$$ sign that says 'Do not disturb' right behind a meditating Fuji.

It has been a couple of months since the Akatsuki mission, in the occasion of Pakura and her group heading for chunin exams, Fuji and co decided on celebrating the day before they leave for Konoha, sort of like a good luck charm.

Fuji suddenly opens his eyes, as the wind slightly blows away from his body.

"I think I got it now, I just have to make it faster." He says.

He looks up and smiles at the people in his apartment, the black markings fading from his face. "Sorry for the wait guys, shall we go now ?"

Pakura and Fuji stood in the corner of the room, watching their friends have fun.

"How are you feeling now that your second team is probably going to be chunin in a couple of weeks?" Asks Fuji.

"Heh, Old. Especially since these lots are a lot more troublesome than my first team, all thanks to you."

"Of course! I'm a-"

"Genius after all" She speaks with him.

They look at each other for a while before bursting into laughter.

After a couple of moments of silence, Fuji talks.

"Are you ready for the plan?" He asks, suddenly grim.

"Excited actually, this is going to be the turning point when everything changes for the better. I can't wait." She answers, a menacing grin on her face.

"Good, that's good."

*Flashback no Jutsu*

The Kazekage sits in his office, with the Honourable Siblings standing behind him, Councilman Baki sits in a chair while Pakura and Fuji stand at attention.

"They're doing it." Rasa breaks the silence.

"What do you mean, Kazekage-sama ?" Asks Pakura.

"What he means is that the Clan Leaders finally had enough, they're planning both a coup and an invasion at the same time."

"What ?!" She exclaims.

Meanwhile, Fuji -already having an idea about the situation- just stands back and listens.

"It's admittedly a decent plan, but it was bound for failure, something that Councilman Baki here recognized. This is why he came to me to mitigate as much damage as possible." Replies Rasa.

"They're dooming us, they plan to ally with Orochimaru and his new village and attack Konoha during the chunin exams. They're hoping that the Hokage will attack Kazekage-sama in response and even hopefully kill him, they don't appreciate Kazekage-sama's efforts in uplifting the clanless shinobi." Says Baki.

Baki rubs the bridge of his nose.

"These idiotic old men even made a deal with Orochimaru to kill Pakura-san in front of Gaara-sama! They think they can manipulate him into taking the hat and antagonize him against Konoha! They didn't even consider the fact that even if their plan worked, the retaliation from both Konoha and the other villages is going to destroy our village! And that's without even thinking about the reaction from our shinobi !" He finishes while looking at Fuji in his last sentence.

Fuji just cheerfully smiles back at him.

Ebizo puts a hand on Baki's shoulder, emboldening him to calm down.

"Thanks to your contribution, we don't have to deal with this idiocy, we devised a plan to get rid of the rot in this village for once. While this could have turned into a catastrophe for us if we didn't have any idea about their schemes, now this is an opportunity, the Clan Leaders are planning to both kill our Kazekage and attack an allied village." He says.

Rasa crosses his arms.

"The plan is as such. We know that Konoha, even after the death of their Hokage on the night of the Kyuubi's massacre, has the strongest roster of ninjas out of the great villages, and while we have the privilege to be home to the highest number of S-Class shinobi, ninjas like Jiraiya and Sarutobi can deal with more than one S-class at the same time. So whatever plan Orochimaru has, he must be confident to deal with both the Third Hokage and his fellow Sannin Jiraiya at the same time or at least occupy the one while dealing with the other." He says.

"We believe that while Sarutobi and Jiraiya will team up to deal with Orochimaru and whatever he has in store, other capable people such as Kakashi and Gai will be able to reliably deal with the other Otokagure invaders, which means that both our shinobi and ROOT are the outliers. We are the wildcards, the variables, and the uncertain elements. We expect Orochimaru to attempt some sort of scheme to be sure of our involvement, but we can only guess about that." Interjects Chiyo, her expression turning sour at the mention of Kakashi.

"Usually, the best way to win against your opponents will be to undo their expectations. Both Orochimaru and the Elders surely expect both Pakura-san to accompany her team to Konoha, and that Kazekage-sama would follow her to be present during the final phase. Meanwhile, Fuji-Kun will have to stay here to protect the village in case of any emergency, but we won't do that." Continues Ebizo.

"Pakura-san will have to go according to plan, this will prompt the Elders to sneak their troops into the Land of Fire to prepare for the invasion, but unbeknownst to them, this will also include a contingent of our shinobi under the leadership of Councilman Baki which will infiltrate the rebels. The most important detail however is that it is not me that is going to represent Suna, but you, Fuji-kun." Finishes Rasa.

"Me ?"

"Yes, we currently have 4 S-Class ninjas in our village, me, Pakura-san, Gaara, and you. Out of us, Gaara and I get a massive advantage in the desert, while you two are more fixed in that regard. But that also means that I will be severely weaker when in Konoha, it is better that you be there rather than myself, especially considering the fact that you just recently faced 2 S-Class nuke-nin and won."

"But won't that alarm the Clans ?" Questions Pakura.

"Yes, which is why a squad of the most skilled clanless Suna nin will leave the village in a 'highly classified mission that supposedly has to do with Sasori' right before Fuji's departure." Answers the Kazekage.

"Which will make them believe that whatever caused you to send me instead of you will not be related to their schemes, but rather to whatever mission the squad was sent to." Continues Fuji.

"We were sure that they were prepared to deal with whoever stayed here out of the three of you, the fact that it will be Kazekage-sama instead of Fuji-kun will just mean that they'll have to be sneakier, the fact that most of the skilled clanless shinobi just went on an unknown mission outside the village will do much to alleviate their concerns." Finishes Ebizo.

"Your roles are as such, Pakura-san will endeavor to contact Councilman Baki during her stay at Konoha to respond to the invasion by defeating both the Oto-nin and the Suna traitors, you are to inform your team of the situation on your way to the Land of Fire away from listening ears.

Fuji-Kun is to both explain the situation to the Hokage and assist them against any scheme Orochimaru manages to concoct.

While both the Honourable Siblings and I are to clean up here while the whole debacle is going on.

Any further information will be divulged to you through the usual channels. Dismissed!" Orders the Kazekage.

"Hai!"

*END of Flashback no jutsu."

"Exciting times are ahead of us for sure" Continues Fuji.

"Hey! Fuji-san! Come try this new dish they made!" Shouts a red-haired kid amidst the crowd.

"Alright, I'm coming!"

*The next day*

"Pakura-sensei, we still have more stamina! Why did we stop in the middle of nowhere ?" Asks a costumed 14-year-old with makeup.

"No one should be able to hear us here. Now, while we're going to the chunin exams, we also have an additional mission."

"Another mission ?" Questions a 13-year-old Temari.

"Yes, in full actuality..."

The genin's expression turns more and more solemn as they realize the true importance of the situation. To think that a bunch of old men want to throw away so many lives for their selfish desires! And to think that they could manipulate one of their own ?! Their brains are truly rotten to the core!

"The clans are also sending some of their genins to the exams, make sure to take care of them secretly if you have a chance, you must also try not to aggravate any Konoha ninjas who are participating, we don't want to worsen relations even more whilst some of our own are attacking them also. Here are some files about who to look out for, we'll read them and I'll answer your questions while resting for some time here. Gaara, make sure to store more sand than you're used to while we're still in the desert."

"Hai sensei!" They answer.

"So this is Konohakagure, huh? It is certainly more lively than Suna." Comments Kankuro.

Despite orders from Pakura to stay at their temporary residence, Kankuro -adamant in his desire to see new sights- snuck out behind his brother's back, Temari, who initially followed him to bring him back, ended up going out with him.

"Hey Kankuro, we should go back. Pakura-sensei will be mad." She says.

"Don't worry, Temari! We're just being tourists that's all, we'll just visit the residential districts, we'll eat some food, and then we'll go ba-" His reply got interrupted by a small figure colliding with him.

The small brown-haired Konohamaru fell on the floor, as both the blond Naruto and usele- *ahem* pink-haired Sakura show up running after him.

"Oi kiddo! You should see where you're going! Don't just run around willy-nilly!" Exclaims Kankuro.

"What did you say?! You were the one who was on my way !" Responds the Hokage's grandson.

Kankuro's face scrunches up comically in an attempt to look menacing.

"What did you say, brat !" He attempts to scare the kid.

It seems that Kankuro learned the wrong lessons from his genin sensei, his attempts at looking intimidating just look hilarious.

A vein visibly pops out on Kankuro's head as Konohamaru just bursts into laughter, the spectators aren't unscathed either as Temari lets out a snort and Sakura and Naruto are desperately trying to hold in their laughter.

Kankuro then grabs Konohamaru by the scarf and lifts him closer to his face.

"What do you think is so funny ?!" He exclaims.

Konohamaru's laughter turns into concern, Naruto and Sakura are also alarmed. However, before they could interfere, a rock collides with Kankuro's hand, causing him to let go of the kid.

"You Suna-nin are very audacious, considering that you're in someone else's village." Comments a smug Sasuke, sitting on the branch of a tree.

"Sasuke-kun!""Teme!" Exclaim his teammates.

"Hey Kankuro, I think this is way too much, we were told not to cause a commotion." Temari tries to convince her brother to calm down.

"There's no way in hell I'm backing down, not from these brats any-"

A blurry figure suddenly appears behind Kankuro and slaps him on the back of the head, causing him to fall.

"Pakura-sensei ordered us to stay indoors, you did not only go against her orders, but you were causing a commotion too. And to think I'm the younger brother." Says a visibly annoyed Gaara.

While Kankuro is voicing his outrage, Gaara kneels next to the fallen Konohamaru and lifts him back up while patting his shoulders.

"I'm sorry for my brother little man, he's very aggressive." He says.

"U-uh." The kid stutters out a response.

Gaara turns back towards his siblings to leave.

"Oi, you with the red hair, what's your name ?" Asks Sasuke.

"I'm Gaara of the Desert, pleasure to meet you." Replies Gaara before Shunshin'ing with his team.
