Chapter-30

Sasuke and Orochimau continued their fight for some time. Sasuke was reaching his limit while Orochimaru was getting frustrated. In close battle Orochimaru has trouble keeping up with Sasuke's taijutsu, and his genjutsu was also creating problems for Orochimaru. Orochimaru was caught in genjutsu two more times but luckily he broke free of it before Sasuke can do some serious damage. Only weakness of Sasuke that Orochimaru can think of is lack of 'ninjutsu'. Sasuke did not use any attack type ninjutsu in their fight except for fireball jutsu. He avoided using rasengan because he did not want to reveal it for now.

Orochimaru did not want to kill Sasuke so he also avoided using S-rank ninjutsu which can be fatal for Sasuke but things were getting out of hand for him. This was the first fight for Sasuke where he faced such a powerful enemy. He did not wanted to reveal his mangekyou ability and fighting Orochimaru without them was getting more difficult, he was reaching his limit. Only reason Sasuke did not go all out is because he knew Orochimaru was not trying to kill him, otherwise he would be forced to use his mangekyou.

SASUKE: "It was fun fighting you Orochimaru, but I am gonna leave now."

OROCHIMARU: "Sasuke, you are strong but it is not enough to kill Itachi. You want your revenge right? If you follow me then I can give you the power to defeat Itachi."

SASUKE: "You cannot even defeat a 12 year old, and you are promising to give me power! I don't need you, I can get stronger myself. I will kill Itachi very soon and after that I will hunt you down. I don't like a snake breathing down my neck. The moment you put your eyes on me was the moment your death was fixed."

Sasuke used body flicker jutsu to get some distance from Orochimaru and opened 4th gate to escape from Orochimaru at high speed. Orochimaru was not able to follow Sasuke at that speed. Orochimaru desire to get Sasuke's body increased even more. Sasuke escaped at high speed for almost five minutes, his body got exhausted because of opening 4th gate. He used ability of his right mangekyou to return to unexhausted body state five minutes ago. He then moved towards the tower to meet his team.

Sasuke did not open 4th gate to fight Orochimaru because he did not intended to kill Orochimaru and he was not sure if he can kill Orochimaru with just 4th gate. If he used 4th gate then he had to use right eye mangekyou to return to his previous body condition after five minutes of fight and the whole point of fighting without revealing his mangekyou would become pointless.

Orochimaru decided to leave Sasuke for now, he need other opportunity and more preparation to get his hands on Sasuke.

Sasuke had put tracking seal on both Sakura and Naruto, he knew Naruto and Sakura were united with his shadow clone and Karin, all three of tracking seals (placed on Naruto, Sakura and Karin) were moving together in the direction of tower. He also followed their direction and reached their position before they can reach the tower.

Karin was surprised to find out that all this time Sasuke was actually a shadow clone. It did not take long for team-7 to reach the tower. Orochimaru has instructed sound ninja and his subordinates to stay away from Sasuke, they were not his match, so team-7 did not meet any trouble on their way to tower. After reaching the tower, Naruto was the first one to ask;

NARUTO: "Hey Sasuke, what happened to the woman you were fighting?"

SASUKE: "He was not a woman, he was actually Orochimaru, one of the legendary Sanin. I fought him and escaped when I got the chance."

SAKURA: "Why was he after us?"

SASUKE: "He was probably after me for my sharingan, but don't worry about him, he cannot do anything to me. Anyway let me introduce her, she is a ninja from Kusagakure, her name is Karin. But now she is going to live in Konoha. Naruto, she is also an Uzumaki like you, you two could be distant relatives."

Naruto was confused, he did not even know his parents. His Uzumaki surname was just randomly given to him. He did not study enough history to know anything about the Uzumaki clan.

NARUTO: "What are you talking about, I don't even know my parents. What does Uzumaki has to do with anything, it is just a random surname."

SASUKE: "Naruto, Uzumaki is the surname for people belonging to Uzumaki clan just like Hyuga or Uchiha surname. They were ally of leaf village but their clan was destroyed during the second great ninja war. Karin is the descendant of survivor of Uzumaki clan just like you."

Sakura and Karin were silent, while Naruto was getting his world turned upside down. Until now he was just a random orphan of leaf village but suddenly he become the survivor of Uzumaki clan and he may have some family left, he does not need to be alone anymore.

NARUTO: "D…Do you know my p…parents?"

Naruto asked Sasuke with hope in his eyes, he can finally get some clue about his parents. Naruto's biggest desire in his life was to know about his parents, no one told him anything about it, even Hokage told him that he didn't know.

Sasuke didn't plan on revealing about his parents to Naruto, but he needed Karin to stay in Konoha and Hokage would not agree to this easily. Sasuke thought of making Naruto connect with Karin as a family then Naruto would never let his only family leave Konoha. With Naruto's determination to never give up, Hokage has to give up and let Karin stay in Konoha. So Sasuke decided to reveal a little about his mother's side to Naruto.
