1st Blood...

As soon as Akira left the village; his guard went on full alert as if standing in a war zone. Though he had never been to war it must have felt like that he thought.

And Akira wasn't the only one with such changes. Hana and Yuki also raised their guard to full alert as soon as they left the village but Joshi Sensei remained quite lax.

To reach the location they have to travel for 2 days. As we continue to travel I enjoyed the scenery as this was my first time out of Iwa. But my kagura's eye was active all the time as I searched for any suspicious activity.

The war ended long ago and peace was all over the world. But, recently skirmishes were happening around Iwa so to prevent any misunderstanding between nations Iwa decided to end the Bandits and vigilantes around the nation, so the mission.

Though we might come across bandits our team safely arrived at the village without facing any difficulty along the way.

When we arrived in the village all we saw was a ghost village. There was no one in the aside from some dead bodies.

Even Sensei seemed to be in a pinch.

"They just requested the mission just 1 week ago and in the meantime, they disappeared. Have they died or migrated somewhere?" said Sensei

"You all check around the village for any clue and let me see what I can do" saying that, he disappeared.

We all began checking for any clues by searching all the houses.

All the expensive belonging in the houses are gone and the dress and objects inside the house are scattered everywhere. It seemed the bandits looted the houses. And the dead people are those who tried to resist it so they were killed to deter everyone in keeping quiet.

At night Sensei came near the village but did not find us so instead of searching here and there he waited there.

After 20 minutes we returned to the village exhausted. Sensei seeing us coming informed his findings " The bandits seemed to have kidnapped the villagers and kept everyone hostage 20 miles due east."

"Yeah, we also thought that. But why would they kidnap these people who can't give them any ransom?" Yuki asked frowning

"What do you think for if not slaves."

"Let's go near the location. But be careful we won't be attacking them tonight so don't alert them"

We started running toward the area, upon arriving there we saw a cave-like structure formed between two mountains. The area was covered by bushes and trees and so light doesn't reach the cave quite well. This area seems to be a good hiding spot. Outside the cave, 4 guards were vigilantly eyeing the surrounding.

Seeing the people we have to fight tomorrow I was nervous as well as excited.

"Well take some rest now I will wake you up at dusk when we will be attacking"

We remained half awake thinking about tomorrow.

When the sun peaked over the mountains, sensei woke us.

After we became ready sensei said "There are 21 people inside leaving the outside 4 aside. Out of them, 3 are jonins are the rest chunins and genins, I will not be helping you guys so be careful.

I looked toward the cave entrance before something came to my mind so when I turned around to ask the question I saw no one, he had disappeared.

After discussing among ourselves we silently surrounded the 4 bandits without waking them up, we had our invisibility jutsu running. This jutsu is only useable against chunin and genins.

And the guards were bonafide chunins.

As Hana took the lead in attacking the bandits, I reminded

"Wait! Let's see if there are traps around them "

Hana nodded to me before molding hand seals and she scattered light to see any hidden traps.

She looked at me before shaking her head.

We readied ourselves before dashing toward the bandits.

I took my tanto out before charging toward the bandit, I appeared in a flash before the bandit before plunging my Tanto into his heart as blood start to spew out from his chest. I felt disgusted at this as this was too much blood for a neet like me.

Feeling the sharp pain he woke up but before he could say something his body slumped on the ground. He had his eyes wide open and hatefully glaring at me even after his death.

Seeing this my stomach starts to churn as the contents of my breakfast were about to spew out. I held them in for a while as I had one more bandit to finish.

On Yuki and Hana's side, both took out a Kunai before applying light chakra to their body they flashed to the back of the bandits before slashing towards their neck.

Yuki was able to kill the bandit with 1 slash but the bandit Hana had to kill slipped while the Kunai instead of slashing to the neck slashed to the chest. Feeling the pain the bandit woke up shouting.

"You- Ambu-!!" he tried shouting but Hana rectified her mistake now by slashing at the neck.

Though his sound did not go inside the cave, it woke the remaining 1 bandit.

He woke up and saw his partners lying in coldblood. So he ran inside the cave.

Seeing the man running toward the cave, I took a deep breath to stop my stomach-churning and picked my Tanto before jumping toward the running bandit. I gave applied chakra to my feet and rushed toward him, I knew if he entered the cave he would scream and alert the bandits.

So I gave my 100 % and sped like a ghost. I was quickly upon him, He turned his head to look back toward us. Suddenly, his pupils contracted at the same time his was blown back by a strong wind.

"F*uck"

A beam flashed and then disappeared. The bandit felt like he was flying before he had even managed to finish his word. His vision kept spinning, and he saw blood gushing out like a fountain from a corpse without a head.

Akira shook his Tanto and blood began to drip down. Seeing the blood I could not stop myself as I ran towards a nearby bush and start to puke out my breakfast. This is my first kill in this world and I felt very conflicted about this. In my previous world, I was a normal person whose job had no involvement in violence and now in this current life, my job is to kill anyone who stops me from completing my mission.

I once again faced the reality of the situation as I muttered to myself, "So, I have taken my first step to be embroiled in the chaos of this world." I breathed deeply to calm down my nerves as I walked out of the bush to see both Hana and Yuki in the bushes.

They were the same as me that had no contact with violence and now here we are killing people.

As they came out looking pale I asked "Are you ok?"

Both of them nodded to him, "I am fine now. Let's wait for sometime before completing the mission."

We waited till our bodies felt fine then went towards the cave.
