Naruto psycho 100 chapter 3: team 7 passes

It's been about a week since the event with Mizuki took place, during this time mob has been hard at work preparing himself for the life of a ninja.

Sasuke: 'hm, so brother made it after all, guess I shouldn't be so surprised.'

As usual mob and Sasuke well really just Sasuke was surrounded by fangirls which as usual Sasuke chose to ignore, mob used to get nervous whenever this happened however after years of this happening everyday he's grown used to it.

Eventually Iruka walked in, although walking next to Iruka were a pair of familiar light brown eyes with long brown hair which was straight on one side and is in a braid on the other, the familiar figure wore a purple kimono like shirt with a long right sleeve and short left sleeve, which was held close by a wide pink sash with red mesh armor underneath, with a light blue skirt and a brown headband.

This figure was Yakumo Kurama a girl who mob had helped during a few weeks ago due to a job he and Reigen had received directly from the Hokage.

Yakumo scanned the room until her eyes landed on Mob, Yaumo walked over to mob.

Yakumo: "you must be Shigeo Uchiha."

Mob: "um, y-yeah th-that's me." Mob may be used to Sasuke's fangirls crowding around them but actually talking to a girl is a different matter.

Yakumo: "I wanted to say thank you for your help. Kurenai Sensei told me what you did, without you I wouldn't be able to become a shinobi, I'm in your debt."

Yakumo bowed with mob constantly stuttering as he tried to say it was no problem. Sasuke sweat dropped at this sight. "huh, I see brother hasn't changed much."

Iruka: "Alright alright, settle down everyone."

As everyone began to settle down Kiba leaned in next to mob.

Kiba: "(whisper)Hey mob what's with the girl?" Hearing this Sauske leans in as well out of curiosity.

Mob: "Oh me ad master had to help her for a job."

Kiba: "Master? Are you talking about that Reigen guy?"

Mob: "Yeah, master Reigen the greatest psychic of the century."

Mobs face instantly became ten times brighter the moment he spoke of his wise master.

Everyone around mob knew of Reigen and most of them who have actually seen or heard stories of him are able to tell that he's a fraud but choose not to bring it up.

After this Iruka begins to announce the teams.

Iruka: "And team 7, Shigeo Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha... and Yakumo Kurama"

Mob was surprised by this turn of events, he didn't think he's see Yakumo in his class let alone on his team, however mob wasn't particularly opposed to this, after all it's not like he's ever had any conversations with the other girls in class, in fact he's probably spoken more to Yakumo than all of the girls in class combined.

As for sasuke mob was ecstatic after all he'd get to be on a team with his younger brother.

Mob: "we get to be on the same team Sasuke, isn't that great." Mob was smiling brightly as Sasuke simply looked away out of embarrassment not wanting to show his own smile.

Iruka: "we'll introduce your jonin sensei' sin the afternoon, until then take a break."

4 hours later

Mob, Sasuke and Yakumo had finished their break and for the last three and a half hours have been waiting for Kakashi to arrive, Mob attempted to pass the time by sleeping, but he was too excited at the thought of impressing Ayame with the ninja skills he'd learn to even fall asleep. Sasuke meanwhile was thinking about what kind of jonin would be teaching them and Yakumo was practicing her genjutsu.

Suddenly all three of noticed the door open to reveal Kakashi Hatake reding make out paradise.

Kakashi: "oh you must be team seven.

Kyubi: "haven't I seen this guy somewhere?"

The nine tails begins to wrack his brain trying to remember where he had seen Kakashi.

Kyubi: 'Oh yeah that's right, he's Minato's old student.

"alright I'll meet you up on the roof" Kakashi said as he body flickered away.

Mob: "wow he's so fast, I wonder if I'll be that fast some day."

Kyubi: "Are you for real?"

Mob: "What?"

kyubi: "nothing, just that you better hurry up." Hyubi pointed to the doorway where Sasuke and Yakumo had just exited.

Mob: "HEY WAIT UP!"

Mob scrambled after his team and managed to catch up to them halfway.

The three of them made it to the roof where they were greeted by Kakashi who took them over to a spot near the railings.

Kakashi: "alright to start off with why don't you introduce yourselves."

Yakumo: "well what should we say?"

Kakashi: "things like what you like, what you dislike, your hobbies and goals for the future."

Yakumo: "well why don't you go first?"

Kakashi: "me? Ok then, my name is Kakashi Hatake, likes and dislikes? I don't feel like telling you them, goals for the future? Never really thought about them and my hobbies? I have lots of hobbies."

Mob, Sasuke & Yakumo: 'all he told us was his name.'

Kakashi: "alright let's start with the right."

Mob: "my name is Shigeo Uchiha, my likes are ramen, my mum, my dad and my little brother."

Sasuke looks away in embarrassment.

Mob: "I dislike it when people use their abilities to hurt others, my hobbies are training with Gai sensei and Lee, and my goal is..." Mob thinks of Ayame and immediately begins blushing furiously.

Kakashi: 'girls huh? Well at his age I suppose that's normal, though that aside I'm surprised he's been training with Gai, I'll have to ask him about this later.'

Yakumo: "my name is Yakumo Kurama, I like my clan and training with Kurenai sensei, I dislike it when people underestimate me because I can only use genjutsu, my hobby is training with Kurenai Sensei and my dream is to become a great kunoichi using only genjutsu."

Kakashi: 'well she has her priorities set I don't see anything to complain about and from what I hear her talent for genjutsu is greater than even Kurenai's.'

Sasuke: "my name is Sasuke Uchiha, I won't share my likes or dislikes, my hobbies are training with my brother and studying, and my goal isn't any of your business." Kakashi notices Sasuke glance for a second at mob, his eyes showed admiration but more than that they showed fear.

Mob: 'brothers so cool.'

Kakashi: 'I suppose I should have expected this considering what happened five years ago.'

Kakashi: "well that's good, you're all unique and have your own goals, now that introductions are out of the way we can start doing our first mission."

Yakumo: "what will it be?"

Kakashi: "a survival test"

Yakumo: "survival training?"

Sasuke: "we've had more than enough training at the academy so why is our first mission a training exercise?"

Kakashi: "this training will be different since I'm your opponent."

Sasuke: "so what is it then?"

Kakashi began chuckling to himself to the confusion of the three genin.

Yakumo: "what's so funny sensei?"

Kakashi: "it's just that when I tell you this you guys are gonna really freak out."

Yakumo: "freak out?"

Kakashi: "out of all 27 graduates only 9 will be chosen to become genin while the rest will be sent back to the academy."

Mobs progress: 40%

Kakashi: "see, I told you you'd freak out."

Yakumo: "Then what was the point of graduating."

Kakashi: "oh that? That was just to select those who have a chance to become genin."

Mob: "huh?"

Kakashi: "tomorrow you will show your real skill on the training ground. Bring all of the tools you have . Oh and skip breakfast you'll just puke it up."

Kakashi: "the details are on this paper, don't be late." Kakashi hands the three of them a piece of paper containing details of the training exercise.

Mob: 'I can't fail this test, should I use my powers? No, never use psychic powers against other people, besides this is a test of ninja skills not psychic powers.'

Yakumo: 'if I fail this I'll never accomplish my dream of becoming a splendid kunoichi.'

Sasuke: 'I won't be able to accomplish my goal if I fail this test.'

The image of Itatchi and Mob plays in his head as his determination grows stronger.

That night after training relentlessly with Gai once again mob returned home and barely managed to get any sleep.

Mobs progress: 50%

Tomorrow morning:

It was the day of the survival exercise, the day that would decide whether or not Mob would continue on becoming a ninja, after getting ready Mob left with Sasuke.

training ground 7:

Kakashi: "hey everyone good morning."

Yakumo: "you're late."

Kakashi: "sorry about that, a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way around."

Sasuke: 'what kind of excuse is that?'

Kakashi walks over towards a tree stump and puts down an alarm clock.

Kakashi: "alright it's set for noon."

Kakashi grabs out two bells causing the three genin to look at him in confusion.

Kakashi: "here are two bells. Your goal is to take these bells from me before the time is up. Those who can't get a bell by noon get no lunch, I'll not only tie you to one of those stumps but also eat my lunch right in front of you."

Mob, Sasuke & Yakumo: 'so that's why he told us not to eat breakfast.'

Kakashi: "you only need one bell and since there are only two one of you will be tied to that stump and the person who doesn't get a bell fails, so at least one of you will be sent back to the academy."

Kakashi: "you can use any weapons you want, if you don't come at me with the intent to kill you won't get these bells. Now begin."

All three of them run off and hide in the trees and bushes.

Kakashi: 'the most important thing for a Shinobi is to hide themselves, they've all done this pretty well.'

Suddenly a kunai makes its way towards Kakashi which he swiftly catches.

Kakashi: "that's quite reckless of you, exposing yourself like that."

Yakumo: "I'm not going to pass this exercise by just sitting around."

Kakashi sighs at this. Kakashi: "Shinobi fighting lesson #1 taijutsu."

Yakumo: 'taijutsu? That's hand to hand combat, so why's he grabbing out a weapon.'

However what Kakashi reveals isn't a weapon but a novel.

Yakumo: "huh?"

Kakashi: "what's wrong? Aren't you going to attack me?"

Yakumo: "why are you reading a book?"

Kakashi: "well obviously I want to know what happens next, don't worry it won't make any difference against you guys."

Yakumo is enraged by this and immediately charges at Kakashi with a punch.

However Kakashi easily ducks under this and appears behind her.

Kakashi: "a shinobi isn't supposed to let someone get behind them."

Sasuke: 'that handsign, that's for a fire jutsu, he isn't just kidding around if he uses that he'll destroy her.'

Kakashi: "hidden leaf village secret ninja art: a thousand years of death."

Kakashi is about to poke Yakumo from behind, however instead of making contact his hand goes through her.

Kakashi: "no way, genjutsu?"

Yakumo: "too late."

Yakumo appears behind Kakashi with a kunai to his throat.

Yakumo: "you let your guard down Kakashi sensei."

Kakashi: "hey Yakumo."

Yakumo: "huh?"

Kakashi: "what did I just tell you?"

Yakumo's eyes suddenly widen in realisation as Kakashi suddenly disappeared.

Kakashi: "Shinobi fighting lesson #2 genjutsu."

Sasuke: 'a clone? Did Kakashi know she used a genjutsu the whole time.'

Kakashi: "hidden leaf village secret ninja art."

Yakumo looked down in dread at what was about to happen.

Kakashi: "one thousand years of death."

This time Kakashi made contact, launching Yakumo several feet in the air and into the water.

Yakumo: 'damnit, I can't lose, if I do I'll let everyone down.'

Suddenly a couple dozen clones come out of the water.

Kakashi: 'clone jutsu huh? It's just an academy level technique, though I'm surprised at how many she's able to create, she really does have a talent for genjutsu.'

As the clones close in Kakashi prepares to defend against the real Yakumo when she suddenly appears behind him reaching for the bells.

However Kakashi having expected this simply spin kicks her in the face causing her to go flying into a tree landing with a thud.

Kyūbi: "aren't you gonna interfere, just use your powers already and beat him!"

However the Kyūbi's words fell on deaf ears as Mob remembers his masters words.

Reigen: "remember Mob men who go around beating up girls are the worst people in the world.

Mobs progress: 55%

Kakashi: "once again you let your guard down, if you keep this up you won't be able to get the bells.

Sasuke: 'his guard is down right now.'

Sasuke launches several shuriken at Kakashi which all stab Kakashi's side.

Mob: 'Sasuke' just killed him.'

Mobs progress: 70%

However suddenly Kakashi poofed once again and is replaced with a log.

Kakashi: 'so that's where he is.'

Sasuke: 'damnit a substitution, now he knows where I am, he showed that opening on purpose and I fell for it.'

Mob: "I need to go after them, but I should probably check on Yakumo first."

Mob jumps out of the bushes he was hiding in and runs over to Yakumo.

Mob: "Yakumo, are you alright?"

Yakumo: "yeah I'm fine."

Yakumo wipes the blood off of her lip.

Mob: "come on we should go after them, there's no telling what might happen."

Yakumo could see the worry on mobs face and decides to take his hand as they rush after Kakashi and Sasuke.

Meanwhile:

Kakashi and Sasuke face each other down.

Kakashi: "the villages last Uchiha, this could be interesting."

Sasuke quickly grabs out several shuriken and throw them and Kakashi.

Kakashi: "such obvious attacks are useless." Kakashi dodges each of the shuriken however one shuriken cuts a role right behind Kakashi.

Sasuke smirks to himself.

Kakashi: 'a trap?!'

Several knives launch at Kakashi to which he dodges causing them to be embedded into a tree.

Sasuke appears behind Kakashi readying a kick which Kakashi grabs, Sasuke then launches a punch towards Kakashi's face which he also grabs.

Finally Sasuke uses his remaing leg to launch a kick over Kakashi's head however this was just a distraction as he uses his remaining hand to make a grab at the bells causing Kakashi to let go of Sasuke and jump back.

Kakashi: 'damn, guess I won't be able to finish reading my book.'

Sasuke begins weaving hand signs and says in his head 'fireball jutsu.'

Kakashi: "what? A genin shouldn't have enough chakra to use a jutsu like that."

Sasuke smirks to himself thinking he got Kakashi however when the fire dissipates it reveals nothing.

Sasuke: 'he's gone! In the air? No, to the side? No, where is he?'

Kakashi: "below you."

Sasuke's eyes widen as he is suddenly pulled underground with only his head remaining above ground.

Kakashi: "Shinobi I fighting technique #3, ninjutsu, well you're already way ahead of the others when it comes to this. But hey they say the nail that sticks out gets hammered down, hahahahaha."

Sasuke: "damn you."

A few minutes later

Mob & Yakumo: "Sasuke!"

Sasuke looks up to see Mob and Yakumo running towards him.

Mob: "are you alright?"

Sasuke: "of course I am moron."

Mob: "good, I'm glad you're not hurt."

Mob: "here, I'll help you out."

Mob uses his telekinesis to lift Sasuke out of the ground and onto his feet.

Sasuke: "(muttering) thanks."

Mob simply smiled and said "y-your welcome, which way did Kakashi Sensei go?"

Sasuke: "That way."

Sasuke pointed towards the direction Kakashi walked off in causing both himself and Yakumo to immediately dash in said direction leaving poor Mob to try and catch up with them.

Mob: "huh? Wait up!"

A few minutes later

The three of them made it back to the clearing where Kakashi was waiting for them while reading his book.

Kakashi: 'huh, so the three of them decided to work together, that's surprising.'

Sasuke immediately jumped in with a kunai in one hand and his other reaching for the bells.

Kakashi: "that won't work."

Kakashi went to grab Sasuke's hand however he was in for a shock when his hand passed through him.

Kakashi: 'genjutsu?'

Kakashi looked towards Yakumo who was smirking at him.

Mob: 'Huh? what's going on? his hand passed right through him.'

Kyubi: "you're hopeless kid."

Sasuke suddenly appears behind Kakashi ready to grab the bells.

Kakashi gets ready to kick Sasuke away when suddenly his entire body is frozen.

Kakashi: 'What the hell? What's going on?'

Sasuke smirks as he grabs the bells from Kakashi.

Meanwhile Mob is standing a few feet away next to Yakumo with a blue aura surrounding him, his hair floating and his hand outstretched.

Mob: 'I didn't want to use my powers to pass this test, but I don't want to see my brother get hurt either.'

Kakashi: 'I never would have expected them to work together, though the real shock is that they actually got the bells.'

Kakashi: "Well congrats, you all pass."

Sasuke: 'huh?'

Kakashi: "as I'm sure you've already guessed the real point of this test was to see how well you all work as a team."

Mob and Sasuke both looked at him in confusion.

The truth is that Sasuke was simply there to get the bells for himself, meanwhile Mob had simply forgotten that one of them would fail, the only one of them who understood the true point of the exercise was Yakumo who assumed that the other two had also figured it out.

Kakashi: 'still though, what was that feeling before, I couldn't move at all, it felt as though an incredibly powerful force was holding me in place, could it be Shigeo's rumored Kekkai Genkai?'

Kakashi: "That ends the training. All of you pass! Starting tomorrow team 7 begins it's duties. Now let's go."

And so with that Mob, Sasuke and Yakumo passed Kakashi's test and officially became a Shinobi of Konohagakure.
