Chapter 15: Great great Grand Master?

[AN: Everything that happens after this chapter will not be based on Canon or any of that shiit, I will have to admit that some information may not be accurate as they truly are and will be designed for the benefit of the MC. That or I add a system which is also another take, but I don't think it's a good step for me.]

Hokage office

After going through the lists, Osamu was now thinking of which one to choose.

The list of what he saw were of course the names of the ninjutsu and a bit of their description.

The manual on how to train them will be given only once he decided which one to train.

When thinking of the 4th and 2nd Hokage's jutsu, the only thing that came to mind the most was the flying raijin.

Although Tobirama has more to offer, high level water jutsus, barrier types of sealing jutsu, the original flying raijin, the shadow clone and more.

Meanwhile Minato's list shows the famous rasengan which he was sure to get from Kakashi or train them on his own, wind type body flicker, the improved flying raijin, sealing arts from barrier types to offensive types.

And of course, Hiruzen's which has elementary jutsus in all nature transformation upto mastery, summoning jutsu, sealing barrier types ninjutsu, the shuriken Kage bunshin which he normally copies through Genjutsu and a few other normal types.

Osamu's choice was of course the flying raijin, because why not? It was after all a very flashy and cool ninjutsu. But seriously, it is a must have ninjutsu for him.

If he masters it, he can finally have a say in this world where he is currently insignificant and also, it has a lot of potential from offensive maneuver to defensive.

After a little reality check of having Chunin level reserves and that the jutsu requires years of effort that might go down the drain if he's not compatible to it seems to sway him into choosing another.

In the end though, he picked the notes of Tobirama for the original flying raijin for the thought of being not compatible to Minato's version of improvements.

When he showed his choice, he was asked.

"Are you really sure about this Osamu-kun. This jutsu has a very high level of difficulty that only the 2nd and 4th Hokage. Even among the current Shinobi it requires 3 people to be able to perform it, your Jonin sensei who was a disciple of the 4th and a genius, was unable to grasp it."

All Osamu got from that was.

"Kakashi-sensei was a disciple of the 4th Hokage?!!! That makes me his grand disciple!" Shikaku could only smile at the kid's comment, Hiruzen though.

"Well, the 4th Hokage was the disciple of my disciple. So what does that makes you? my great great grand disciple?" Hiruzen commented while smirking.

'why do I feel like the 3rd is always boasting about himself when talking to this kid? Is this some sort of genjutsu? Or does the third simply wants to look cool in front of kids?' Shikaku thought to himself while wondering.

Osamu however was acting to the best of his abilities by having his mouth agape while slowly breathing out.

Hiruzen and Shikaku could only laugh at his reaction.

"So, are you truly sure about this Osamu-kun?"

"Yes, great great grand master Hokage -sama." Osamu answered with enthusiasm.

Hearing the answer and how he was addressed however, the Hokage was thinking if he did the right thing telling the kid about the 4th's connection to him.

"Sigh, alright. Just call me Hokage in front of everyone from now on, only when we're alone can you call me grand master. In exchange, I will let you pick 2 jutsu from my least, deal?"

"Awesome!!! You have a deal, I still choose the flying raijin from Lord Tobirama though." Osamu was beyond ecstatic. He was wondering if Hiruzen's treatment to him was his golden finger or cheat in this world.

Regarding the flying raijin, he already have initial thoughts earlier that although Minato's version is already improved, it was based on Minato himself.

He thought that, what if they all have a difference when it comes to it? So to seek out the original was what he thought best.

'he reminds me much of Jiraiya when the brat was still a kid like him. I wonder if he's found what he's looking for?' Hiruzen could only reminisce of the past as he watches Osamu excitedly scroll on his list of jutsu.

In the end, Osamu picked the Summoning jutsu and the shuriken Kage bunshin jutsu from his list.

"For the summoning to work, you would need a summoning contract for it to work. Since it's your first time, I take it you don't know any summons?" Hiruzen asked to which Osamu simply nodded.

"Then, I shall teach you how to create a connection to a summon. We will meet me later in a few hours, I will be there to monitor your practice for the summoning so nothing goes wrong."

"Thanks Grand grand Hokage -sama, where would we meet later?"

"I'll just get to you later, you can start exploring the rest of the jutsu you picked up."

With that, Osamu went to training Ground 3 while Hiruzen waited for someone he called.

Soon the door to his office was opened.

A old man with black hair and bandages around his hand and half his face came in whilst holding a cane.

"You called for me, Hiruzen?"

"Yes, it has come to my attention that you approached young Osamu?"

"That recent Chunin you have promoted? Yes, I wanted to teach him personally but I was rejected." Hiruzen was baffled.

Teach Osamu personally? Not work under him in root division as a tool? What is his old comrade planning?

"Anyway, you should stop that as I have decided to teach him myself."

"What? You already had the previous Sanin and now you want to teach another one?"

"Not exactly. You see, he's my great great grand disciple. So it is not wrong for me to teach him a thing or two."

"Fine, however I want to pick a new batch for my roots."

And so, by a fluke or luck, Osamu escaped Danzo's hands without knowing how.

Training Ground 3

Osamu was holding a scroll for the Flying raijin jusu developed by Tobirama.

If you're thinking how is Osamu doing this outside the Hokage tower it is because he is closely being guarded by Anbus assigned by Hiruzen himself.

Osamu was reading the notes, the intricate patterns and symbols used for the jutsu. How was chakra involved, how much was needed, what were the hand seals, what was the purpose of the patterns and more.

As someone who deal with complicated stuffs during his past life in college, specifically calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry and more advanced subjects.

He can honestly say they are almost the same in depth. But he has to have it reference for his past life's subject, programming and binary systems comes to mind.

He must've been too absorbed with what he was reading he didn't even notice Hiruzen already by his side.

"You must be really into this huh? Do you understand what is being said by the 2nd Hokage on his notes?" Hiruzen asked curiously.

"Yes, it's not that hard if you have a basic foundation of understanding."

"My, no wonder you excel in theoretical knowledge during your academy days."

"It was not easy, but it was a basic knowledge to learn, I guess?"

"Kids your age normally don't like those subjects though."

"Unfortunately, I am not normal." Now Hiruzen was getting more curious, the Osamu in front of him was speaking either subconsciously or he already knew he was there so he wasn't surprised when he asked earlier and simply answered.

"And how are you different? Why unfortunate though?"

"I'm different because I already have precious things to protect and unfortunate because I knew this too early in my life, unfairly taking away my innocence. When I could be playing with my peers without worry or cares in this world, I was already training hard to become stronger, strong enough to protect my precious people." Only by speaking this long did Osamu snapped back to reality, who was he talking to? He was talking to someone?

"Anyway, why do you keep asking, who are-" Osamu tried to ask and looked at Hiruzen only to be surprised and immediately bowed.

"Sorry Grand Master, I didn't notice that you've arrived already." Osamu excused himself while rubbing the back of his head.

"That's totally fine. Do you want to continue reading? Or should we start with my Jutsu that you picked?"

"Let's start with the summoning jutsu please."

"Summoning jutsu depends on which summon you are compatible with or if your sensei/master or clan has a summon that ca be passed down."

"Then does Kakashi-sensei have a summoning he can pass down to me?"

"I'm afraid his summon belongs to his clan the same with mine, so your option would be to try of your blood is compatible with any summon. Have you memorized the hand seals?"

"Yes!"

"Good. Now remember, to be able to find out which summon you would be compatible with you must offer your blood first."

"Got it!"

Osamu bit his thumb and performed the hand seals.

Boar - Dog - Bird - Monkey

"Summoning jutsu!"

He slams his hands down the ground as black sealing marks automatically drawn and encircled his hand.

The expected explosion happened, however, no summon appeared.

Hiruzen could only lament, not everyone has the compatibility to have a summon. In fact he's seen this scenario more than once from other people.

This only meant that Osamu doesn't have a summon animal he's compatible with.

"Don't worry Osamu-kun. I shall let you choose a different jutsu in my arsenal since the summoning is not really for you. Sorry."

"It's okay Grand Master, I will choose tomorrow. Here's the scroll for the flying raijin, I'll get it again tomorrow."

Hiruzen nodded in affirmation.

'maybe the kid needs time to accept the reality'

"Alright, I'll give you time for now and see you again tomorrow at my office." Hiruzen vanished and was followed by his Anbus.

Once he was alone, Osamu wondered why it didn't work. Was he truly not compatible with any summon?

Then he remembered how Jiraiya's attempt went, he didn't use his blood and was summoned to Mt. myoboku instead.

Thinking of this, Osamu wondered, will the same happen to him?

'if only I could use shadow clone, I would be able to send a clone in my stead. Sigh.'

"I guess, it's high risk high return! Even if I master flying raijin, I still won't have enough fire power to bring down the future enemies "

Osamu thought about Orochimaru, Akatsuki, Pain, Kabuto, Obito, Madara, Kaguya and even Momoshiki.

Is he even the last villain? Before dying, the last thing he watched about Naruto is the movie where Naruto became Hokage and has a family with Hinata.

It was then in the middle of an exam that Momoshiki invaded and was only defeated by Boruto with the help of Naruto's chakra.

Knowing what lies ahead, Osamu performed the hand seals once more without offering his blood.

As soon as he slammed his hands on the ground, there was a puff of smoke.

When it cleared he was no longer there.
